Melbourne, Australia: Useful Idiots For Jihad Attempt To Prevent People From Going In To Hear Geert Wilders Speak

As reported by ABC's Lateline, and other Aussie media.

This whole business was thoroughly disgraceful.

First, the ABC version, as reported by Hamish Fitzsimmons and staff:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-02-19/clashes-ahead-of-geert-wilders27-speech/4528388

'Clashes Erupt Outside Wilders' Melbourne Speech'

'A large group of angry protesters has scuffled with people attending a Melbourne speech by controversial Dutch MP Geert Wilders.

'There were verbal exchanges on Monday evening as about 200 protesters wrestled with those trying to access the venue at Somerton, in the city's north.

'The demonstrators took guests' tickets and pushed them to the ground.

What was 'pushed to the ground'? The tickets, or the guests?  Either way, this conduct should have gotten people arrested; it did not.  Shame on the Victorian police who were present. - CM

"What are you doing? This is a democratic society.  We're allowed to go in there", one guest told the protesters.

'Mounted police then moved in, forming a line to try to stop the scuffles.

"We do not want this to be an issue of confrontation and we ask you to accept the rights of all the other members of the community", one policeman said.

Yes. - CM

"If you do not move aside, we will be using force".

'Most of the protesters, who chanted  "racism, no way, we're going to fight it all the way", then moved on.

Racism?  I am so weary of this canard.  Mr Wilders is not talking about blackness, whiteness, brownness or yellowness. Mr Wilders is criticising Islam, which is an ideology; he knows it is not genetically coded.   Mr Wilders would be just as wary of a blonde, blue-eyed Dutchman who had converted to Islam and was an advocate of Sharia and plotter of Jihad, as he would be of an olive-skinned Moroccan who had been raised Muslim from birth and was pushing sharia and plotting Jihad.  Conversely, Wilders speaks highly of persons of non-European background who have been brave enough to publicly criticise Islam: for example, the ethnically-Indian  Michael Nazir-Ali of the UK (a Christian), and the ethnically-East African Ayaan Hirsi Ali (ex-Muslim, and atheist). - CM

'The group Students For Palestine organised the protest, and say demonstrators did not come looking for trouble.

Pull the other leg, people, it's got bells on.  - CM

"We were just standing there (blocking the way, stopping people from getting in - CM) while actually, a number of people were charging at us, are hurting us", the group's Yasmin Shamsil said.

Always with the cry of 'victim!' - CM

"There are actually people here with bloody noses and these are all the demonstrators who are just peacefully trying to raise awareness of the fact that we oppose Islamophobia and all the things that Geert Wilders and the people who come to Geert Wilders' event preach".

Oh, 'Islamophobia'.  It's so eeevil to be an Islamophobe...How dare people fear the prospect of being beheaded by allahu-akbaring sadistic thugs!  Yes, I fear - with rational fear - Islam. I fear it, for one, because of a little Jewish girl called Miriam Monsonego who was seized by a pious Muslim thug, in her schoolyard in Toulouse, France, and shot by him three times in the head, point blank, whilst he filmed the whole thing with a camera he was wearing; and because I know just how much hate toward Jews is fomented by the classic Islamic texts.  I fear for the safety of our Jewish citizens in Australia, as the Muslim colonies grow, and grow, and grow, and become daily more aggressive and arrogant and stridently or whiningly demanding, and more and more jihad plots are hatched.  I fear for all other non-Muslims in Australia.  That is why I think Geert Wilders is right, and that Muslim immigration into majority non-Muslim countries should be stopped.  - CM

'The far-right politician's Australian speaking tour has been sponsored by a group called the Q Society, which is against multiculturalism.

'Andrew Horwood from the Q Society blamed political correctness for the trouble.  "I think it's very sad that we've got to this stage, with the cloak of political correctness that's descended on this land", he said.  "That it's hard for an organisation like this, a group of volunteers, to get places where we can freely speak and discuss something that concerns the future of this country".

'Security inside the function was tight for Mr Wilders, who told an enthusiastic audience [that] large-scale immigration by Muslims threatened the fabric of Australian life.

"I'm also here to warn Australia about the true nature of Islam", he said.  "It's not just a religion, as so many people mistakenly think.  It is primarily a dangerous and totalitarian ideology.  And I'm also here to warn you what is happening in my native country, the Netherlands, that that might soon happen in Australia too, if you fail to be vigilant".

'Mr Wilders will press on to other speaking engagements across Australia, and no doubt more protests".

News.com also reported on the behaviour of the protesters, here:

http://www.news.com.au/national/protests-against-geert-wilders-show-no-tolerance/story-fndo4bst-1226581436949

'Protests Against Geert Wilders Show No Tolerance"

'People trying to listen to a speech by far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders were pushed to the ground outside a venue in Melbourne yesterday.

'A group of about 40 protesters blocked the gate leading into the Somerton function centre and stopped people from entering.

'A large number of police, including mounted officers, were on patrol, but made no initial attempt to move them...".

And here is what was reported in Melbourne's 'Age' newspaper:

http://www.theage.com.au/national/islam-a-dangerous-and-totalitarian-ideology-wilders-20130219-2epx5.html

'Islam a 'Dangerous and Totalitarian Ideology': Wilders'

'Far right Dutch politician Geert Wilders describes the Prophet Muhammad as a murderer.

Which he was.  See the Sira.  - CM

'Far right Dutch politician Geert Wilders has called the Prophet Muhammed (that is, 'Mohammed, whom Muslims regard as a prophet' - CM) and used ANZAC soldiers as an example of the courage needed to speak out against Islam at a speech to Melbourne supporters.

'Tight security surrounded Mr Wilders' hour-long speech to members of the ultra-conservative local group the Q Society (ultra-conservative? I am a member of the Q Society, and I would hardly describe myself that way; indeed, Q Society has struck me as having quite an eclectic membership roll - CM) at La Mirage reception centre in Melbourne's north on Tuesday night.

'Fifty police, some on horseback, separated about 100 vocal but peaceful protesters standing on the Hume Highway verge outside the venue.

'Protest organiser Feiyi Zhang said, "We're here to show we will not stand for Wilders' racism and Islamophobia."  She said his speech could incite violence against Muslims, "and general fear of Islam".

Ah yes, Islamophobia, the unforgivable sin.  How dare people be afraid of getting beheaded or killed in other horrid ways by Muslims, like so many innocent non-Muslims have been, in many different places, in just the past ten years, let alone the past 1400 years!  Here's the hilarious pop quiz, 'Are You An Islamophobe?'

http://pajamasmedia.com/phyllischesler/2009/08/26/are-you-an-islamophobe/

and here is our own Hugh Fitzgerald, on the topic of Islamophobia, 'Islamophobia, Really?'

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2005/12/fitzgerald-islamophobia-really.html

'Protester Nadia Shamsuddin, a doctor and a Muslim, said she was "repulsed" by Wilders' visit and views. "His promotion of oppression and intolerance is appalling in the civilised world".

Ah yes, 'oppression'. Let's discuss the special Islamspeak meaning of 'oppression'. At bottom, it means "the continuing independent existence of anything or anybody unislamic anywhere in the world", or 'any state of affairs under which Muslims cannot do as they please to non-Muslims".  Here is ex-Muslim Abul Kasem, on the subject:

http://www.islam-watch.org/AbulKasem/IslamOppressed.htm

Her husband Raj Rao said, "Wilders accuses Islam of promoting hatred and violence, but I think that's what he's doing".

And all those Jew-hating Muslim 'clerics' that can be found on Youtube, or conveniently translated, on MEMRI?  All those other Muslims shrieking, stamping, gesticulating, gibbering, and inciting hatred of and violence toward the najis kuffar?  What are they doing, eh? - CM

'Mr Rao said the message of the Quran was of "peace and submission to God".

One must remember that the Islamspeak definition of 'peace' is a global sharia state within which any surviving non-Muslims will be dhimmis annually paying expensive jizya to their Muslim overlords in order to be (perhaps) grudgingly allowed to remain alive: humiliated, degraded, and subject to perpetual physical peril.  'Submission to God' = submission to the Muslim 'allah' who is envisaged as a capricious and unknowable cosmic despot.  - CM

'Inside the venue, audience member Inez, a Dutch immigrant, said she had come from Ringwood to hear Wilders "because we have built this country into something very, very beautiful but I can slowly see it getting spoiled by people who want to impose their beliefs and laws.  When I hear Muslim people wanted to introduce Sharia law here, I shudder. I thought it too horrible to contemplate"...

'Mr Wilders said the Prophet Muhammad was a savage leader of a gang of robbers that raped and murdered and mutilated its opponents, including the Jews in 7th century Medina, and violence had carried on to Islam's modern day supporters.

Yes. This is all true.  It is all there in the canonical Muslim accounts of Mohammed's career. -  CM

'He said anyone who criticised Islam "is in grave personal danger" and "we cannot continue to accept this".

Yes. - CM

'European countries such as the Netherlands are "in the process of losing our cultural identity and our freedom and I am warning Australia about the nature of Islam.  It is not a religion; it 's a dangerous and totalitarian ideology".

And, finally, here is the Herald-Sun, with some more on what happened as people tried to enter the venue to hear Wilders' speech:

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/protesters-call-dutch-mp-geert-wilders-a-racist-as-he-calls-for-end-to-mass-migration-from-islamic-countries/story-e6frf7kx-1226581059821

'Protesters call Dutch MP Geert Wilders a racist as he calls for an end to mass immigration from Islamic countries'.

'Activists (aka Useful Idiots; with a few Muslim handlers amongst them - CM) pushed and shoved guests to stop them entering, and linked arms to try to form a blockade.

They 'pushed and shoved', did they? Doesn't that qualify as assault? - CM

'One middle-aged invitee was shoved to the ground in the skirmish.

'A protester with a blood nose said a guest he'd called "one of the fascist cohort" assaulted him.

Really? It is possible that this vile idiot head-butted someone and got his blood nose that way. I hope that Q society had some people filming the whole thing from every angle, and then we shall see what we shall see.  - CM

'The 22 year old, who would only give his name as James, said, "He threatened to punch me unless I let him through.  And he then started clawing at my face".

I'll wait for the video footage before I believe claims by the protesters.  Pretty well all the Q Society members I know are sedate middle-aged types who just don't go in for scrimmaging in public.  - CM

'There were reports of activists ripping up people's tickets.

And nobody got arrested? Why? Again, I hope that Q Society Melbourne had 3 or 4 people filming every minute of this.  And let's hope there is CCTV footage as well. - CM

'Police moved in to clear the gates to allow guests to enter to hear the speech.

'A line of officers, backed by mounted police, swarmed in to remove protesters from the entrance of the La Mirage Function Centre on the Hume Highway at Somerton, in Melbourne's north.

'Up to 60 police then formed a ring of steel around the venue, as Mr Wilders spoke inside.

'Senior Sergeant Michael Maloney said there had been no arrests.

'Tony Iltis, from the Socialist Alliance, said the group were stopping fascists from entering.

Read Ibn Warraq on Islam as ur-fascism, Mr Iltis. And ask yourself why Karen Blixen, she of 'Out of Africa' fame, compared Nazism to Islam.  Carl Jung also saw the resemblance.  And Churchill called Mein Kampf, 'the new Koran of faith and war'.  - CM

'Police came pushing us and grabbing, shouting 'Move, move, and all that garbage," he said.

So you think, Mr Iltis, that you have an absolute right to suppress free speech by preventing people from going in to hear a speech that they have paid to go hear? You think the police should have sat back and allowed you to keep on blocking that gate?  - CM

'Protesters remained beside the venue to continue to voice their opposition, chanting "Racist scum!"

'About 100 protesters had gathered in the minutes before Mr Wilders spoke.

'The venue for the speech had been kept secret , but protesters got wind of it earlier today.

'Protesters linked arms to block access, forcing police to use mounted officers to clear the entrance.

'Entering the reception centre was like passing through airport security, with guests forced to be scanned by metal detectors.

'The serene environment inside contrasted with the violent clashes of the protesters outside, with the 500 guests sitting quietly to hear the speeches."...

Hmm. 500 guests?  Sounds as though the guests significantly outnumbered the protesters: 5 to 1, by this account.  Good. - CM...

French children kidnapped 'by Boko Haram' in Cameroon

From the Telegraph

Seven French citizens, including four children, were kidnapped in Cameroon on Tuesday, amid a surge of attacks on French interests across West Africa since Paris ordered its country's troops into Mali to battle Islamists there.

The seven hostages were taken from Cameroon's far north close to the Waza National Park and Lake Chad, both attractions for tourists on adventure holidays. The semi-arid area lies alongside the border with Nigeria, and Islamist strongholds in towns there, including Maiduguri, are less than 100 miles to the west.

It is nonetheless believed to be the first time that Nigeria's growing problem with Islamic fundamentalism, and kidnapping, has been exported into its generally stable neighbour.

One of the adults is employed by GDF Suez. The French utility giant said the employee, based in the Cameroon capital Yaounde, and the family were on holiday in the north of the country.

A Western diplomat in the region told AFP that six armed kidnappers on three motorbikes abducted a couple, their four children and an uncle in the northern village of Dabanga near the Nigerian border. The children are aged five, eight, 10 and 12, the diplomat said.

Daniel Greenfield: Non-Muslim Elderly Have Benefits Cut To Pay For Muslim Immigrants

Elderly Lose Milk and Butter Because of Rising Cost of Muslim Immigrants

Forget Allah, Sweden is giving Muslims free houses

This story is about a municipality in Sweden, but it could be about any number of countries in Europe, and for that matter it could also be about the United States.

Muslim immigration leads to high costs in violence and welfare, and the elderly end up suffering as all the money goes to pay for integration course for violent Muslim teens and their father and his four wives and their nineteen kids.

The money has to go somewhere and the social safety net paid into by the natives is embezzled, hijacked and looted to pay for the medical and criminal expenses of the Islamic colonists and settlers.

Härjedalen is reducing all accessory food deliveries in their home care. From now on there will be no more bread, butter or dessert to the elderly. But they must still pay the same fee for food, reports Swedish Radio.

The municipality has recently had a sharp priority to receive the ever increasing flow of immigrants.

In Sveg an existing accommodation for young immigrant, which since its inception has been characterized by fights and turmoil, has been supplemented with additional accommodation at a cost of 5.5 million Swedish Kroner. The accommodation served the men around the clock by a staff that is as large as the number of immigrants.

The immigrant expense here isn’t even coming from just social benefits, but from the size of the staff that is needed to control a violent Muslim population of migrants and settlers.

The municipality has also seen a large increase in the number of refugees, especially from Syria. In Hede it was recently decided to provide free houses to all Syrians granted residence permits.

The elderly can’t have their basic food staples, but the latest “refugees” from another bloody Muslim internecine conflict can get free houses.

According to the municipality, immigrants prove to be a predictive pension savior.

- We need to see this in the longer term where we already know we will have many retirements in different occupational groups. We should see this as a resource, says municipal manager Inger Lagerquist to our question on the free apartments to Syrians.

As Obama would say, free houses to Muslims is an “investment in the future.” But what are the odds that the average Syrian Muslim colonist will be as productive as a Swede? And if the average Syrian Muslim is capable of marching the productivity and skills of a Swede, then why isn’t Syria just like Sweden?

We must therefore conclude one of two things. Either only extraordinary Syrians who are above average move to Sweden. Yet despite their extra ordinariness, they require almost a 1:1 staff ratio. Or Sweden is becoming more like Syria as it takes in more Syrian immigrants. The rising rape rate in Sweden would suggest that Sweden is becoming more like Syria.

Europe's Shrinking Welfare States, And The Huge Expense Of Its Muslim Population

Over slow time, in the advanced countries of Western Europe, there developed a system whereby the members of those societies made provisions for everyone, to make sure that a minimum standard of living could be shared. When Bismarck first proposed what is, in effect, Social Security, it was adopted now by this country, and now by that. In the United States, when Social Security came in, in the 1930s, it was opposed by some as a step toward Bolshevism. Other things, too, were provided: free and universal education, up to a point (that point, that age, varied over time and space). Universal medical care and housing, too, came in time. But these were all predicated on the idea that the better-off members of a society should make provision for the less better-off, or even the not-at-all-well-off, members of that same society, people who shared the same language, cultural, identity, historical memory. They were part of a national family. That made sense.

What does not make sense, however, is that having constructed this expensive system of what some call entitlements, others a Welfare State, the taxpayers in those countries, having agreed to such an institutional framework for those in that national "family" who they felt should be guaranteed such aid, find that more and more, expensive and hostile outsiders, who in some cases hardly know the local language, and who -- for reasons of deep faith -- cannot possibly share in the historical identity of the non-Muslim lands within which they have, through ignorance, negligence, and in some cases, ideological blindness, been allowed to settle. Indeed, they are not even merely neutral in their attitude, but actively hostile to the laws and customs, the ways and claims, of the non-Muslims among whom they live. The fact that not all break the law, that some disinegenuously claim that it is enough that they are "law-abiding" (some are, many are not), when it is clear from Muslim clerics that until Muslims become stronger, they must temporarily accommodate the non-Muslims among whom they live, but only to the point that they feel compelled to, and when they gain in numbers and gather strength, they are of course counselled not to live by man-made, or still worse Infidel-man-made, laws.

The cost of Muslims begins with the cost of security against Muslim terrorism - the more Muslims, the more security that is needed -- for churches, synagogues, Hindu and Buddhist and Sikh temples. For Christian and Jewish schools. For bus stations, and metro stations and railroad stations, and airports. On busses, on tthe Underground, on trains, at airports. For bridges, and for major highways. For important symbols of such as buildings  in Washington and London, in Paris and in Rome and in every other Western capital. For national symbols, such as the Statue of Liberty. For the cost of monitroing mosques -- no doubt many Muslims, by the thousands or tens of thousands, are now on the permanent government payroll to monitor the mosques and other meeting-places of other Muslims -- quite a jobs programs. For the cost of the amazingly high crime rate, especially such crimes as rape, which Muslims are charged and conviced with at rates some ten times that for non-Muslims. In some countries, as in Scandinavia, 70% of the imprisoned rapists are Musilm, though they may make up 2-5% of the populatiion.

Then there is the cost of trying to "integrate" them which, for some reason, just doesn't work. The cost of teaching the locla language. The cost of special classes, of every kind, in schools. The disruptiion, in the regular schools, of the classroom, sometimes by Muslims who are threatening to non-Muslim students (see France, see Germany, and the testimony of teachers and students alike), sometimes because they threaten or even attack teachers who say things that they don't like (such things as dwelling on the history of France, or teaching about the reasons for the Crusades, or antisemitism -- anything that they think might cause sympathy for non-Muslims, or might somehow reflect badly on Muslims and on Islam) . The cost to the educational systems all over Western Europe are best known to those who teach in those systems -- all you have to do is ask those teachers, and those harried, sometimes threatened staff.

There is the cost to public hospitals, where Muslim men demand that male doctors not treat "their women," or that if they do, the Musilm men be present as the interlocutors. There are, again, the threats made, the attacks carried out, against hospital staff, that lead to a general rise in tension for non-Muslim doctors, nurses, and patients. Again, the security problem costs  money.

There is the cost to everyone, in the diminishment of social calm and social cohesion, that can be seen not in Mayfair, or Belgravia, and not along the Avenue Foch, or Neuilly-sur-Seine, but everywhere that those not protected by great wealth -- the very people who, in politics and in the media, have been so wilfully unaware of how the Muslim presence in Western Europe damages life, diminishes the douceur de vivre, in every respect, and makes for a world "much more unpleasant, expensive, and physically dangerous" for the indigenous non-Muslims, and other, non-Muslim immigrants, than would be the case without a large-scale Muslim presence.

Think about it. Try your best to pretend that what I have just written isn't true. Because, after all, we don't want it to be true. It is too upsetting. It requires that one start thinking about doing things that some, for some strange reason, just can't allow themselves to contemplate -- such as hatling all Muslim immigration, and working to reverse the Muslim presence in their countries by creating an environment that is Islam-hostile, not grotesquely Islam-friendly.

Try to keep denying it.

Then, when you finally give up, you will find that, clear-eyed, you feel much better. And not nearly as monstrous as you thought you might become. There's nothing monstrous about it. You can be just as sweet, humorful, clever, amusing, as you ever were. And at the same time, you can be calmly, but relentlessly, against Islam and its carriers and its apologists..

Yet More Evidence As To Why Non-Muslim Lands Should Ban Muslim Female Face-Coverings

An excerpt from one among the many, many reports on the neverending Jihad in Southern Thailand, that may be read, every day of every week of every month of every year, murders and attempted murders, bombings, robberies, arson, in the 'Security' section of the Thai English-language paper, 'Bangkok Post', online.

http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/security/336353/isoc-eight-bombs-planted-in-pattani

'ISOC: Eight Bombs Planted in Pattani'

'A total of eight improvised explosive devices and suspicious objects were planted in Pattani province on Saturday night and early Sunday, Col Pramote Promin, spokesman for the 4th Region Forward Command of the Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc), said on Sunday morning.

'He said the militants (sic: the jihad terror raiders - CM) intended to create unrest by detonating the bombs hidden in different stores, hoping they would spark a fire.

"The assailants wore hijabs to deceive people and authorities, but thanks to cooperation from several people, officials were able to disarm most devices", Col Pramote said.

'He said the bombs went  off in two areas - one at a supermarket and the other at a karaoke bar, where a civilian was slightly injured...".

To repeat, 'the assailants (that is, the murder-minded pious Muslims, whether male or female, busy 'planting' bombs in various locations where they would hope to achieve maximum casualties - CM) wore hijabs to deceive people and authorities".

'To deceive people and authorities'.  He says 'hijabs' but one must assume that they were in fact wearing the Slave Mask, either niqab or burqa, which fully covers the face, and would therefore prevent them from being identified either by eyewitnesses or from CCTV footage.

So long as there are Muslims present within majority non-Muslim countries, there should be a flat ban - strictly enforced - upon the wearing of the Muslim female slave mask (whether niqab or burqa) in any public place.  Non-Muslims who mask their faces on anything other than festivals such as Hallowe'en or Purim, are rightly suspected of being up to no good, and the practice is therefore illegal.  It should be illegal, also, for Muslims within non-Muslim lands. For if there are a lot of Muslim females swarming the streets and the shops and the squares and going in and out of businesses and public buildings - banks, schools, town halls, public toilets - with their faces totally or almost totally covered, unchallenged, then even if many do not commit crimes, all of them with their face-masks are de facto running interference and acting as camouflage for anyone else - male or female Muslim, or even enterprising non-Muslim - who may don this 'cloak of invisibility' in order to commit crimes.

While there are Muslims in our midst, then ...ban the burqa. Ban the niqab.  This is a security and law enforcement issue.

Show your faces, Muslimahs; or the non-Muslims you encounter will assume, prima facie, that you are Up To No Good. - CM

Australia's Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, Offers Lukewarm Defence of Wilders' Right to Speak, Then Embarrassingly Exposes His Own Abysmal Ignorance of Islam

It is something that Abbott at least acknowledged Wilders' right to speak and be heard; though I would have been more impressed, had he had the courage to actually attend one of Wilders' presentations, thus defending by example the principle of freedom of speech.  But when - having refused the opportunity to go and see and hear Wilders in person and discuss the subject with him, face to face -  he proclaimed, in a radio interview with Neil Smith of radio station 3AW, that Wilders was 'substantially wrong' in his analysis of Islam, he merely exposed his own abysmal (and dangerous) failure to investigate, for himself, what Islam really is all about.

As reported by the ABC's Simon Cullen

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-02-20/abbott-rubbishes-wilders27s-views-on-islam/4529514

'Abbott Rubbishes Wilders's Views on Islam'

'Opposition Leader Tony Abbott says controversial Dutch politician Geert Wilders is "substantially" wrong in his views on Islam, arguing there is not much Australia can learn from the Netherlands on the issue of multicultural integration.

Hmm.  Care to explain, Mr Abbott, just exactly how Wilders is getting Islam wrong?  Is he wrong about what Mohammed is believed to have done and said?  In what the 'Companions' of Mohammed are believed to have done and said, as presented in the canonical Islamic texts?  Can you enlighten us, Mr Abbott, from your superior knowledge of the contents of Quran, Sira and Hadith, and of Islamic jurisprudence past and present, and of the track record of the Ummah over the past 1400 years?   As for 'multicultural integration'; I guess we are ahead of the Dutch in that some years ago we created the specialist Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad, whose 'catch' tends to have names like Ali, Hussein, and Mohammed, Mohammed and Mohammed, whereas I don't think the Dutch police have got a Moroccan Organised Crime Squad (though they probably need one).  - CM

'Mr Wilders is in Australia as part of a speaking tour organised by the Q Society, which warns against the "Islamisation" of the country.

'There were violent scuffles outside a Melbourne venue last night as protesters tried to prevent people from entering the building to hear the anti-Islamic MP speak.

'Mr Abbott says Mr Wilders is free to :"say his piece" (thank you for that concession, Mr Abbott, though I would have liked a more enthusiastic defence of the principle of freedom of speech - CM), but says Australia's experience of multiculturalism is different from the Netherlands.

The only reason Muslims in Australia are not quite as disruptive and destructive and dangerous as they now are in the Netherlands, Mr Abbott, has got nothing to do with anything that we are doing differently from what the Dutch have done.

It is a function solely of the fact that, considered as a percentage of the total population, and also in sheer numbers, the Ummah, or Mohammedan Mob, in Australia, is significantly smaller than it is in the Netherlands.  Australia - total population around 22 million, rate of increase 1.2 % - has some 600 000 Muslims, comprising about 2.5 percent of the population; and the rate of increase of the Muslim population in Australia is 4.7 %, which is  the second highest rate of increase recorded for any religio-cultural group in Australia (the highest, probably fortunately for us, is that of the Buddhists, who are growing at a rate of 5.5 %; Buddhists, at the moment, also exceed the Muslims in terms of absolute numbers).

By contrast, in the Netherlands, a country of some 17 million (all crowded into a smaller land area than Australia) the Muslim population is estimated at about 915 900 (2010 figures; probably a lot more by now), making up 5.5 % of the total population, and growing at a rate of 2.3 %, which is half the rate at which Muslims are increasing in Australia, interestingly enough, but is still much higher than the overall population growth (0.4 %).

The more Muslims you have, both in absolute terms and as a percentage, the more trouble you have; that is the rule of thumb.  For the stronger any given Muslim colony perceives itself to be, vis a vis the surrounding Infidels of the host society (and this depends, too, on the degree with which those Infidels exhibit weakness, naivety, gullibility and willingness to appease and to accede to Muslim demands; the more demands are granted, the more there will be, and the more appeasing we are, the more attacks we can expect).   Muslims are at least 5.5 percent of the population in the Netherlands, and number close on a million;  in Australia there are maybe 600 000 Muslims - about 300 000 fewer than in the Netherlands - and comprising only 2.5 percent of our total population.  My prediction? - if we foolishly allow the Muslim Ummah in Australia to become 4 or 5 percent of the population, then we will have at least as much trouble, in the heavily Islamised suburbs of Sydney and Melbourne and probably elsewhere, as the Dutch are having now; and if we do nothing, and the Muslim Ummah continues to grow and reaches, say, ten percent of our total population, then we will have the same trouble that the French are having now.

Anyway, back to Mr Abbott, busily whistling in the dark. - CM

"Obviously he's entitled to his viewpoint, but I think that the Muslims in this country see themselves rightly as fair dinkum, dinky-di Australians, just as the Catholics and the Jews and the Protestants and the atheists", Mr Abbott told Fairfax radio.

Mr Abbott: on what basis do you believe this, exactly, that you make such a sweeping pronouncement about what you assume to be the beliefs and attitudes of Australia's 600 000 (and counting) Muslims?  Are you aware that classical, orthodox Islam divides the world into dar al Islam - where Muslims rule - and dar al Harb, the zone of war, where non-Muslims live and rule, and which must be warred against until it ceases to exist, and the whole world is absorbed into the Dar al Islam?  Have you read Surah 48: 29, which states flatly that Muslims are compassionate to one another, and harsh (or stern, or cruel) towards the unbelievers (i.e. us, all of us non-Muslims)?  Are you aware of the Quranic verses that tell Muslims, in the strongest of terms, not to befriend or ally themselves with non-Muslims...unless temporarily, and feigningly, should a given set of Infidels be considered too strong, for the moment, to be overcome?  Are you aware of the principle of 'al wala wa al baraa', which is, loyalty to Muslims only, and enmity - which  must, ideally, be expressed in aggressive action - toward the filthy unbelievers, the najis kuffar?  Are you aware of the fact that Muslims, qua Muslims, are supposed to be loyal to one thing only: the Ummah, the 'nation' of Islam, and that their participation in and loyalty to any other kind of organisation is supposed to be merely tactical and temporary? - CM

"We see ourselves as Australians.

I am not so sure that all 600 000 Muslims in Australia regard their 'Australian' identity or loyalty as primary.  You might get a shock, Mr Abbott, if you had a nice chat to someone like Vicky Jenson, who has actually attended many a Muslim gathering, and heard them talking about what they understand to be their duty as Muslims, and their plans for Australia. Or you might consult some of the intelligence reports as to what went on at the Hizb ut Tahrir Caliphate conference  in Australia, recently; what the speakers said, and how many 'Australian' Muslims attended and eagerly listened to what they were being told, with every evidence of agreement.  - CM

"We don't like to divide ourselves on the basis of race, of faith, of colour, of class, of gender".

But Islam - the Ummah, - does so divide people, with a vengeance.  Islam, my dear Mr Abbott, divides people on the basis of faith: Muslim vs Non-Muslim; furthermore, not only are they divided, but the sharia of Islam decrees a miserably subordinate position for the non-Muslims.  As for race and colour: though, theoretically, Islam is supposed to be race-neutral, in practice it is the Arab Imperial, or National, Religion, with Arabisation taking place wherever there is an increase in Islamic fervency and conformity to the Sharia, and with Arab Muslims (or Muslims who have convinced themselves they are Arabs) dominating and domineering over non-Arab Muslims (see Darfur; see the treatment of non-Arab Muslims in every Arab Muslim land, with black people - whether Muslim or non-Muslim - being treated the worst of all); and the grim and absolute gender apartheid of Islam (with women not only segregated but ruthlessly subordinated, often excluded from the public space, their lives and their testimony at law only half the value of that of men) should be moderately obvious to anybody with a glimmer of intelligence and a willingness to look at what the canonical texts say and at the documented evidence of the treatment of women right across the Islamic world and also within Muslim colonies in non-Muslim lands. - CM

"That's one of the great strengths of our country.

"We are always conscious of what we have in common, rather than the things that divide us"....

And you assume that Muslims share this attitude?  I suspect that you assume wrong, Mr Abbott.

Here, for example, are two absolutely typical passages from Ibn Ishaq's Sira, the canonical Life of Mohammed: "Men, do you know what you are pledging yourselves to, in swearing allegiance to this man [Muhammad]?' 'Yes'. 'In swearing allegiance to him we are pledging to wage war against all mankind".  And again, "Muslims are one ummah (community) to the exclusion of all men.  Believers are friends of one another to the exclusion of all outsiders".

Mr Abbott: are you willing to gamble our national security on the pollyanna-ish assumption that texts such as this have no influence whatever upon any part of the Muslim population in Australia? That not even one Muslim in Australia will attempt to put them into practice?

Mr Abbott: there is no excuse whatsoever for your seeming naivety and ignorance of Islam, sharia, and Jihad; you identify as a Catholic, and besides the notorious Catholic scholar of Islam, Robert Spencer, whose books - such as 'Inside Islam: Questions for Catholics', you might profitably read,  there is Australia's Cardinal Archbishop George Pell, who has spoken publicly and very clearly, in the past, about the intensity and ubiquity of violence and intolerance which he, Pell, discovered when (showing initiative and intelligence) he picked up a good Koran translation and read it from cover to cover.  And besides the good Cardinal, there is Australian Anglican priest, scholar and human rights activist, Rev Dr Mark Durie, whose books on Islam - 'Revelation?' and 'The Third Choice' -  are brief, inexpensive, scholarly and easy to read; just right for the busy politician.  Another resource I recommend is an excellent anthology edited by Robin Claydon, entitled 'Islam, Human Rights, and Public Policy', which every politician in Australia would do well to have on his or her desk.

Half a mark, Mr Abbott, for piping up, however belatedly and hesitantly, in defence of Wilders' right to come here and to express his views; but as for what you think you know about Islam...zero. - CM

Geert Wilders in Australia: Australian Senator Cory Bernardi, Having Been Shamefully Silent Thus Far, Finally Pops His Head Above the Parapet For a Moment

Up till now, Senator Bernardi, who did dare in the past to tentatively criticise aspects of Islam, and who met with Wilders in a cordial fashion in Europe over a year ago, has voiced little or no enthusiasm for or interest in Wilders' current visit to Australia.  So far as I know, when Bernardi was sent an invitation to come and hear Wilders speak during that visit - an invitation that was sent to all sitting Australian politicians, State and Federal - he refused.

But he has now poked his head above the parapet just far enough to utter a few words in favour of freedom of speech.

Here is what he had to say.

http://www.corybernardi.com/2013/02/free-speech-double-standard.html

 'Free Speech Double Standard"

"It seems that there is a double standard when it comes to free speech in Australia.

"Dutch politician Geert Wilders' public speaking tour has run into constant problems as venues continue to pull out or refuse to host his events.

"Mr Wilders had to cancel his speaking tour last year, when the government reportedly took over two months to approve his visa.  Wilders' visa approval only came through as he was in the process of cancelling his trip.

"On the other hand, last year the government had no issue granting a visa to Taji Mustafa, the British (that should be, 'the British-passport-holding' - CM) leader of Muslim extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir.

The orthodox Muslim sharia-pushers, Hizb ut-Tahrir.- CM

"They also appear to have no problem admitting Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, who is scheduled to attend the Australian Islamic Peace Conference in March.

"Sheikh Al-Sudais has called Jewish people the "rats of the world".  He has said that Christians are "influenced by the rottenness of their ideas and the poison of their cultures".

'Mr Wilders lives under 24-hour police protection to ensure he isn't killed or attacked by those who don't like his opinions.

That should have been: "to ensure that he is not killed or attacked by pious Muslims attempting to carry out the sharia punishment for blasphemers". - CM

"Over one million Dutch voters supported him at the last election because they are living with the consequences of a growing cultural shift in the Netherlands.

"There are a myriad of reports from a previously harmonious and tolerant Dutch society where Jews and gay people no longer feel safe from attack by Islamic fundamentalists.  These fundamentalists are the same people who want to kill Wilders and establish sharia law under a global Caliphate because Muhammad commanded them to, back in the 7th century.

"And yet, it is Wilders who is characterised as an extremist.

"In such a tolerant and open society like Australia, why is it so difficult to accommodate a speaking tour by a member of the Dutch parliament who has a different perspective?

In other words: why is it so difficult to accommodate someone who is brave enough to defy the sharia Enforcers, and ratiionally criticise Mohammed, and Islam, out loud, in public? - CM

"It was reported that at least 10 venues in Sydney and over 30 in Melbourne refused to host Mr Wilders.  One five-star hotel in the Victorian capital accepted the booking, and then cancelled only a few days before the event, leaving over 500 ticket-holders in limbo. It was a similar story in Perth.

One wonders what kind of pressure was being exerted upon these venues, behind the scenes, once certain parties got wind - somehow - of their having offered a conference room to Mr Wilders. - CM

"Westpac [Bank] refused to organise a payment system to facilitate ticket sales.  Then PayPal put a hold on the account that was processing funds for entry to his speaking engagements.

"It isn't hard to conclude that the threat of repercussions from the hard-left and extremists ('extremists', i.e. 'rioting mobs of Muslims, and/ or Muslim bomb-detonators' - CM) has impacted on their decision to suspend their normal business terms.  This only serves to highlight that the failures of Western Europe are already starting to emerge here.

"And then there's the outcry and vitriol from the media and government.  The ABC was happy to play along to the leftist script demonising Wilders as 'far right' and a 'racist' while promoting the emancipated freedom of the Students For Palestine (i.e Students For Genocidal Anti-Jewish Jihad - CM) and radical-left Solidarity, who are campaigning against the tour.

"Yet Sheikh Al-Sudais' impending visit has gone relatively unnoticed. The Melbourne Showgrounds are hosting the Islamic Peace Conference and Sheikh Al-Sudais' appearance.

"Why is it so easy for this man to come to our country and share his bizarre views (that is: 'his thoroughly Islamic venomous Jew-hatred' - CM) and yet it is so hard for Mr Wilders?  Why do venues refuse to host Wilders, yet provide space for Al-Sudais and groups like Hizb-ut-Tahrir?

Yes: would the Melbourne Showgrounds host a grand neonazi convention with David Irving as the star speaker?  Yet Al-Sudais' views are at least as vicious as those of any western antisemite - and, further, they are completely Islamically orthodox, and can be found everywhere among the general Muslim populace throughout the dar al Islam, at every level from the lowliest slum-dweller to the richest oil-funded princeling in his palace.- CM

"Surely, in Australia, we should be affording a democratically-elected politician form one of our longstanding allies at least the same opportunity to speak in freedom and safety as that provided to people like Al-Sudais.

"It doesn't matter if you agree with Wilders or not.  What is important is that we are prepared to stick up for free speech even if we don't like what we hear.

"The double standard that the government and parts of the media have in relation to freedom of speech and what is acceptable for public debate is simply unacceptable.

"It seems they are making up the rules as they go along in order to suit their own PC agenda.

"The right of free speech should be free for all, not free for most".

And the Muslim sharia ban on any and all criticism of Islam, Mohammed and Muslims has no place in free non-Muslim societies. The double standard that Mr Bernardi is excoriating - whereby the Muslim Al-Sudais can freely come to Australia and spew forth venom against Jews, whereas the Infidel Mr Wilders has only with very great difficulty and grudgingly been granted the barest of hearings as he tries to explain, among other things, the plainly observable fact that Islam is antisemitic and that Jews in the Netherlands are being attacked by Muslims - shows that, de facto, Australia is well on the way to falling into line with the sharia of Islam. And that is very, very disturbing

Now, here is how Senator Bernardi's essay was reported upon.

First, by Chip Le Grand, for 'The Australian'.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/bernardi-tests-abbotts-patience-by-backing-dutch-mp-geert-wilders/story-fn59niix-1226582135815

'Bernardi Tests Abbott's Patience By Backing Dutch MP Geert Wilders'.

Well done, Mr Le Grand; you refrained from adding the Homeric epithets 'Anti-Islam' and/ or 'Right-Wing' or 'Far-Right' in front of Mr Wilders' official designation. - CM

'Coalition Senator Cory Bernardi tested the patience of his parliamentary leader Tony Abbott by affirming his support for Dutch MP Geert Wilders, who has been forced to cancel a speaking engagement in Perth because no venue was willing to provide him a stage.

Perth, Western Australia, does not have a very large population of Muslims.  It is a measure of the extent to which the Ummah already successfully bamboozles and intimidates Australian politicians and ordinary citizens, that Wilders' hosts were not able to find any conference venue willing to expose itself to the risk of being attacked, some day, by Sharia assassins, as punishment for having shown the smallest degree of solidarity with a man who publicly criticises Islam. - CM

'Senator Bernardi, whom Wilders this week described as an old friend, had distanced himself from the anti-Islam campaigner since late last year, when he was given a visa to visit Australia.

'However, the cancellation of Wilders' tour date today prompted the Senator to lament the 'double standard' of free speech in Australia.

"Dutch politician Geert Wilders' public speaking tour has run into constant problems as venues continue to pull out or refuse to host his events", Senator Bernardi wrote to subscribers of his weekly "common sense" newsletter.  "In such a tolerant and open society like Australia, why is it so difficult to accommodate a speaking tour by a member of the Dutch parliament who has a different perspective?"

'Senator Bernardi contrasted the difficulty Wilders had in obtaining a visa, with the Federal Government's preparedness to issue them to Taji Mustafa, a senior figure in Hizb-ut-Tahrir, and Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, who has described Jews as "rats of the world".

Good catch, Senator.  Keep making that point; make it loud and clear and make it often, till it starts to sink in.  - CM

"There are myriad reports from a previously harmonious and tolerant Dutch society, where Jews and gay people no longer feel safe from attack by Islamic fundamentalists", the Senator said.

"And yet, it is Wilders who is characterised as extremist".

'In contrast to Mr Abbott, Senator Bernardi did not distance himself from Mr Wilders' characterisation of Islam as a totalitarian ideology incompatible with western democratic societies.

'Speaking earlier today on Melbourne Radio 3AW, Mr Abbott said Wilders was "substantially" wrong about Islam and the preparedness of Muslims living in Australia to integrate...

'Wilders is currently in Western Australia, but was forced to cancel his planned speaking engagement in Perth after the venue booked for the night cancelled last Friday.  Andrew Horwood, a spokesman for the Q Society, which is organising and funding Wilders' Australian trip, said the group had hoped until Tuesday night to find an alternative venue but had now "conceded defeat".

I hope, at least, that while in Western Australia Mr Wilders was taken to Kings' Park, Perth, to visit the beautiful memorial which remembers the 16 West Australians who were murdered in the 2002 Jihad bombing attack in Bali, which killed 202 people, including 88 Australians, and injured 209, many seriously. - CM

'The withdrawal of support for Wilders follows strong public comments from West Australian Premier Colin Barnett, who declared earlier this week that Wilders was not welcome in his state.

'Mr Barnett (shamefully - CM) took some credit for Wilders being left without a stage to deliver his stump speech warning about the threat of Islam to free speech and democratic traditions.

Mr Chip Le Grand, of 'The Australian'; when you dismiss Mr Wilders' coolly rational and deadly-serious warning as a 'stump speech' does this imply that you yourself do not regard Islam as a threat to free speech and democratic traditions?

If so, Mr Le Grand, are you aware of Islam's apostasy law? - which stipulates that any Muslim who abandons Islam, for another faith, or for atheism, must be killed?

Are you aware that orthodox, mainstream Islam - not some sort of lunatic fringe, but the thing itself - holds that those who criticise or mock Islam - whether they be Muslim, or non-Muslim - must be severely punished, even killed?  Do you know what the canonical texts of Islam say was done to a cheeky woman poet, Asma Bint Marwan, who mocked Mohammed and the Muslims?  She was assassinated in her bed, and Mohammed heartily approved; and Mohammed, to this day, is the role model for all pious Muslims. Everything he did, said and approved of - including the assassination of anyone who criticises or mocks Islam/ Mohammed/ Muslims - is eternally valid.  And that is why Theo Van Gogh, of the Netherlands, is dead; and why Geert Wilders must live in a safe house and go everywhere with a heavily-armed no-nonsense Dutch security detail.  It is also why a little Christian girl in Pakistan, Rimsha Masih, might one day be murdered by a Muslim or Muslims: on the basis of her having been falsely accused of burning pages from a Quran.  This, to repeat, Mr Le Grand, is orthodox Islam, Islam, Islam.  Is that not a threat to freedom of speech, and democratic traditions?  - CM

"I don't want him here', Mr Barnett said. "He is certainly not going to use government buildings to promote his message".

Are you afraid that if he did, then one day a Muslim truck bomber, or Muslim suicide bomber, might blow up a government building, by way of punishing you and the people of Western Australia for associating themselves with someone who has had the temerity to publicly criticise You-Know-Who and You-Know-What? - CM

'Mr Horwood said government pressure had added to the reluctance of venue owners to expose their businesses to protesters, public threats, and possible retribution.

'Possible retribution'.  They are afraid of Allah's Enforcers armed with guns, knives, or high explosive.  And thus the Sharia ban on 'blasphemy' is observed: in Australia, where Muslims constitute, in toto, a mere 2.5 percent of the population.  - CM

"The plan was to have a quieter day and a big night, but the big night is gone" Mr Horwood said.

"I just find it incredible that in 2013, in Australia, in a democracy, this has actually happened.  We have all had generations before who have gone off to war to fight for the country and while they were doing that, I can't imagine they were thinking in 2013 a government would stop a respected politician from the Netherlands speaking in public".

'Wilders is next scheduled to speak in Sydney on Friday night in the final appearance of his Australian tour."

And here is what Bianca Hall, in 'The Age' had to say about Bernardi's finally piping up:

http://www.theage.com.au/opinion/political-news/bernardi-defends-wilders-right-to-speak-in-australia-20130220-2eqzu.html

'Bernardi Defends Wilders' Right to Speak in Australia'

'Liberal senator Cory Bernardi has spoken out in support of anti-immigration Dutch MP Geert Wilders, saying a double standard on free speech is emerging in Australia.

'Mr Wilders, who is on a speaking tour of Australia, has in the past called Islam "a retarded culture" (which it is - CM) and in Melbourne on Tuesday called the prophet Muhammad (that should be, Ms Hall, 'the Muslims' prophet Mohammed" - CM) a "warlord, terrorist and paedophile" (all true, it's all there in the canonical texts of Islam; and Mr Wilders could have added the descriptors 'rapist' and 'slave-trader' and 'treaty-breaker' and 'Jew-killer', into the bargain - CM) and called for a ban on migration from Muslim countries.

'His comments drew widespread condemnation, and a large group of protesters delayed the onset of his speech in Melbourne.

'Australian Multicultural Foundation chief executive Hass Dellal (funny how Muslims so often seem to be in charge of these sorts of organisations - CM) told Fairfax [Press] Mr Wilders' comments were so outlandish there was no sensible reply.

They are true, Mr Dellal. Any Australian who cares to check out the standard accepted translations of the canonical Islamic texts, which are there to be got in any Islamic bookshop or read online in a dozen places, will see that Wilders' description of Mohammed is simply true. - CM

"He is full of contradictions and is wrapped up in his own notoriety.  He never speaks of tolerance, understanding or cohesion".

He is not a dhimmi, Mr Dellal.  He is saying No to Islam, and he is explaining why.  And that simply sticks in your craw, doesn't it, Mr Dellal?  By the way, when I see what Muslims say about Jews, and what they do to Jews (e.g. Ilan Halimi, and Miriam Monsonego) and what Muslims are doing to Copts in Egypt, Christians in Syria, Christians and Hindus in Pakistan, Hindus and Buddhists in Bangladesh, I see not one skerrick of tolerance, understanding, or compassion.  I see lynchings, rapes and forced 'conversions' of minor girls, murders (often mass-murders), robberies, arson, desecration of sacred places, desecration of graves, and a continual barrage of gross insults, slanders, nonsense and lies; I see merciless hate spewed and murder incited by cleric after cleric after cleric, raging against the Yahood, against Christians, against Hindus, against everybody who is not a Muslim and also against those - Ahmadis, Shiites - who are the wrong sort of Muslim.   What 'cohesion' is there between Sunni and Shiite, Mr Dellal? Answer me that! - CM

'Senator Bernardi, who has spoken in support of the controversial Wilders in the past, said Mr Wilders' views should have an airing 'in such a tolerant and open society like Australia.

"There are a myriad of (sic) reports from a previously harmonious and tolerant Dutch society where Jews and gay people no longer feel safe from attack by Islamic fundamentalists", Senator Bernardi wrote, in a blog post on his Common Sense Lives Here website.

"These fundamentalists are the same people who want to kill Wilders and establish sharia law under a global Caliphate because Muhammad commanded them to, back in the 7th century.  And yet, it is Wilders who is characterised as an extremist."

One mark to Ms Hall, or to her editor at The Age, for reproducing the sentence which mentions sharia law and the goal of a global Caliphate; Mr Le Grand, writing for the Australian, left out that bit (or his editor did). - CM

'The Q Society, which hosted the speech, said ithad been forced to change locations several times for fear of violent protests...

"It isn't hard to conclude that the threat of repercussions from the hard-left and extremists has impacted on their [the cancelling venues' - CM] decision to suspend their normal business terms", Senator Bernardi said.

'He said there was a clear double standard at play, when Saudi Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais - a cleric who has described Jews as "accursed by Allah", "apes and pigs" and "scum of the earth" - was due to come to Australia to speak at the Australian Islamic Peace Conference next month, with little controversy.

"Why is it so easy for this man to come to our country and share his bizarre (and thoroughly Islamic - CM) views in a public forum without public controversy, and yet it is so hard for Mr Wilders?"...

I will give the last word not to our Press, but to some of the people who commented on Mr Bernardi's article at his blog (I recommend that readers here click on his link and read them all, it was quite an interesting discussion).

One 'Anon' wrote, snidely, "Pretty clear who your bedfellows are, Cory".

To which one 'Amira' replied, "Anon, don't you believe in free speech for all? Geert Wilders does NOT hate Islamic people. He knows that Islam and Freedom are NOT compatible.  Many Islamic clerics themselves say openly that Islam and Freedom are NOT compatible.  That is understood by all intelligent people.  Thank goodness for Cory's Common Sense site.  If you heard what Hizb ut Tahrir said then you'd know that it's the Muslim clerics who hate people.  They hate anyone who is of a different religion, which shows you that we must have more laws that protect decent people against Muslim hatred.

"I was a Muslim but I've changed and [am] now happily a Christian.  Christians LOVE other people different to themselves.  Muslims are taught to hate people who are different to themselves."

Bless you, Amira!  if only Mr Le Grand, Ms Bianca Hall, and Mr Tony Abbott, and a good few others, would read what you just said, and take it seriously, we might get somewhere..

A little later on, she added this [in reply to another poster]: "Bill, there was no courage needed from me to become a Christian.  I opened my eyes to everything Australian and I am very happy here.  I feel very safe in Australia, but I know that I would have been killed in my homeland if I had changed my religion to Christian there. Aussies are sound asleep to the dangers of Islam.  It's a religion of war-lords from barbaric times, and they dominate their followers so they will be submissive and will 'rise to the call' when they are needed.  Islam is not about goodness for everyone as Christianity is".

Another poster inquired, succinctly, of Mr Bernardi: "Is it true you refused to meet with Mr Wilders? If so - words are easy, Senator".

And yet another poster remarked, "...I really cannot understand why our politicians do not stand up and be counted.  I speak with experience because I was born in an Islamic country, try practicing your Christian faith in an Islamic country, you will not get far".

'Glenda', who had attended Mr Wilders' Melbourne speech, said, "I am deeply ashamed of Australian governments and venue owners for the appalling treatment Mr Wilders and his team have received here.  It is not representative of Australia.  As a visiting MP from a friendly democracy, I would have expected him to be warmly received and freely heard.  His talk in Melbourne last night was interesting, enlightening, and credible.  The audience was a total cross-section of ages, ethnicities and belief systems...I certainly hope his treatment improves as the tour progresses".
