Anger as sex abuse report 'turns blind eye to Asian gangs' despite admitting that they account for a QUARTER of all cases

From The Daily Mail

A report into gang sex abuse came under fire yesterday for concluding there was no particular problem among Asian groups.

The study by deputy children’s commissioner Sue Berelowitz came to the controversial conclusion, despite figures in her own report revealing that more than a quarter of perpetrators of gang-based child abuse known to the authorities are Asian.

But she said this was not enough to conclude that there was a particular issue with Asian gangs. These are not Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist gangs either – the defining characteristic is that they are Muslim. Instead, her report says simply that abuse is carried out by men of all backgrounds.

Miss Berelowitz said the ‘model’ of Asian men targeting white girls was just one of ‘a number of models’, and warned that if investigators concentrated on those patterns, victims could fall through the net.

A Government source said: ‘It is difficult to overstate the contempt the Government has for the methodology and analysis in this report. The whole thing is half-baked.’

And the NSPCC said the report exposed the danger of ‘turning a blind eye’ to the ethnicity of abusers. Andrew Flanagan, chief executive of the NSPCC, said: ‘If there is a problem with one community in a particular area we must be bold enough to address it and not just turn a blind eye.’

Figures in the report state that out of 1,514 perpetrators identified, some 415 were Asian.  This is 27 per cent of the total, far in excess of the proportion of Asian people in the community at large, which is 6 per cent.

But Miss Berelowitz’s report said: ‘Different models of exploitation have been identified. The evidence is clear that perpetrators come from all ethnic groups and so do their victims – contrary to what some may wish to believe.’

The report suggested the proportion of Asian perpetrators in the figures may be higher than whites because the authorities were targeting non-whites. It even concluded that the data on ethnicity was ‘unreliable’ because victims sometimes changed their description of their abuser.

A Whitehall source said last week: ‘It’s important we don’t take a politically correct approach and pretend there is not a real problem here.  Obviously abuse has been carried out by men from all sorts of ethnic background. But that doesn’t mean we cannot say there is an issue about groups of Pakistani men systematically targeting young white girls.’

It is not just the north of England in the former mill towns either. There were arrests in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire yesterday, a town that once a reputation for prosperity, but where one quarter of the population are of ethnic minority.

India Executes Mumbai Jihad Terror Raider Mohammed Ajmal Kasab

As reported in Australia's ABC online.

'India Executes Mumbai Gunman Ajmal Kasab'

'India has hanged Mohammad Ajmal Kasab, the only militant to have survived the 2008 attacks on the financial capital Mumbai.

That is, 'the only Muslim jihad terror raider captured alive out of the gang that attacked India's financial capital Mumbai in 2008' - CM

'The home ministry has confirmed the execution.

'The Times of India says president Pranab Mukherjee earlier rejected a mercy petition filed by Kasab.

Kasab showed no mercy to any of those innocent non-Muslims whom he and his companions mass-murdered during the course of the raid in November 2008; and yet he demanded 'mercy'? - CM

'The Pakistan-born Kasab was one of 10 gunmen who laid siege to the city in November 2008 attacks that lasted nearly three days and killed 166 people.

Let's rephrase that, shall we? 'Pakistan-born Kasab was one of ten heavily-armed Muslim terror raiders who attacked the city for nearly three days in November 2008, taking and holding hostages, killing 166 people and wounding many others.' - CM

'Kasab was sentenced to death in May 2010 after he was found guilty of a string of charges, including waging war against India, murder and terrorist acts.

'He appealed in the Supreme Court claiming he did not receive a fair trial, but his petition was struck down in August.

'During the 2008 attacks, the heavily-armed Islamist gunmen stormed targets in Mumbai including luxury hotels, a Jewish centre (where they murdered six Jews, including Rabbi Gavriel Holzberger and his wife Rivka, six months pregnant; the rabbi and his wife were not simply killed, they were tortured to death - CM), a hospital (it was the Carna Hospital for women and children - CM) and a bustling train station.

'Kasab was a Pakistani national who said he belonged to the militant group Lashkar e Taiba'.

'Militant group'. That is: Jihad gang. - CM

Tel Aviv: jihadists bomb bus, injure 16 people

Though both Australia's ABC and Jerusalem Post use Reuters material, each reports things that the other does not, so I will place both here, side by side.

I'll begin with the Jerusalem Post version.

'Terrorist blows up bus in central Tel Aviv; 16 injured'

'16 wounded in explosion on Tel Aviv's Shaul Hamelech Street, one serious, one moderately, remainder in light condition; police confirm explosion was a terrorist attack (that is, a jihad ghazi raid - CM), are searching for additional suspects, explosives.

'A terrorist (that is, an Arab Muslim jihad terror raider - CM) blew up a bus on Tel Aviv's Shaul Hamelech Street around noon Wednesday.

'A total of 16 people were injured in the attack, according to a spokesperson from the city's Ichilov Hospital.

'One person was severely injured, one moderately, and one light to moderately.  The remainder of the casualties were lightly injured or suffering shock.

'None were in life threatening condition, though two have been taken into surgery, the hospital spokesperson said.

'Police confirmed that the explosion was a terrorist attack, although said it did not appear to be a suicide bombing, and thus police were searching the area for additional explosive devices.

'Police arrested a suspect near the Ramat Gan diamond exchange, but he was later found not to be connected to the attack.

'Police believe at least one terrorist may still be at large in the area, armed with explosives.

'Tel Aviv police had added additional officers in the city before this attack due to heightened state of alert in place because of the IDF operation in Gaza and rocket attacks in recent days, Tel Aviv police chief Yoel Ohayon said..

'He further called on the public to stay alert.

'While it appeared the bomb was left on the bus and not the result of a suicide bombing, Ohayon said that at this point in time, "it is very difficult to say exactly what happened".

'Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri praised the bombing, but stopped short of claiming responsibility.'

"Hamas blesses the attack in Tel Aviv and sees it as a natural response to the Israeli Gaza", he told Reuters.

Suuure.  To the Muslim mind, killing Infidels - who are guilty, all of them, qua Infidels, having rejected allah and Mohammed - is just and right; but an Infidel killing a Muslim, even when doing so in long-delayed response to continual Muslim aggression, is a 'massacre'. - CM

"Palestinian factins will resort to all means in order to protect our Palestinian civilians in the absence of a world effort to stop the Israeli aggression", Abu Zuhri said.

He neglects to explain that to pious, orthodox Muslims like himself, the mere existence of Israel, on any part of ancestral jewish land that was once invaded and held by Muslim imperialists, is an act of 'aggression'. - CM

'The attack came on the eighth day of IDF Operation Pillar of Defense in the Gaza Strip, which has seen hundreds of rockets fired into Israel, including four in the Tel Aviv area.

Let's rewrite the second clause of that sentence and transpose it from the passive to the active voice.  ...'..." during which Gazan Muslims have fired hundreds of rockets at Israeli population centres, including four that have hit the Tel Aviv area'. - CM

'The last time a bomb blast hit Tel Aviv (the last time Muslims bombed Tel Aviv - CM) was in April 2006, when a Palestinian (sic: 'Palestinian' Arab Muslim - CM) suicide bomber killed 11 people at a sandwich stand near the old central bus station.

'Wednesday's attack took place as U S Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Israel trying to calm tensions over Gaza...".

And now for what Auntie ABC in Australia - also drawing on Reuters - made of the same event.

'Bus explodes in Tel Aviv "terrorist attack"'.

'An explosion has hit a public bus in the heart of the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, wounding at least 10 people, Israel's ambulance service reported.

"A bomb exploded on a bus in central Tel Aviv.  This was a terrorist attack.  Most of the injured suffered only mild injuries", said Ofir Gendelman, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

'In a message on Twitter, he said police were combing the area for the person who planted the device, apparently confirming reports that it was not a suicide attack.

'Television showed pictures of a smoke-filled bus, with its windows broken.

'Gabriel Sassoon is an Australian who lives in Tel Aviv, and was just a couple of streets from where the blast happened.

"It's pretty terrifying.  Cell lines are pretty much down, it's a wonder I got a line, and everyone's trying to call to see if their family is OK", he said.  "You might be able to hear I'm a little shaken up, my voice is a bit shaky.  It's a bit terrifying to think that you might be next to a bomb that's going to explode in your city".

'The bombing happened on the eighth day of an Israeli offensive against the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip and threatened to complicate Egyptian-led efforts to secure a ceasefire.

'Celebratory gunfire rang out in Gaza City when local radio stations reported news of the Tel Aviv explosion...'.

And I think that that piquant detail - entirely predictable to anyone who has been paying any attention at all to the news that comes out of dar al Islam, and how many there normally respond to news of the suffering of Infidels, especially that of Infidels harmed by fellow Muslims - tells us all we need to know about the kind of people who live in Jihad Military Base Gaza. - CM

Studio Used By Al Jazeera Attacked By Egyptian Mob

The story doesn't explain who was in the mob, or why they were angery with Al Jazeera. But who cares? It's good news, news to cheer Infidels up.

From Reuters:

Al Jazeera studio in Cairo set ablaze after angry protest

CAIRO (Reuters) - A studio used by the Al Jazeera TV network in Cairo was set on fire on Wednesday in an attack that an employee said was carried out by a mob that had been chanting slogans against the Qatari-owned station.

The studio overlooks Tahrir Square and is located near the scene of violent clashes between youths and the security forces this week in which dozens of people have been injured. Those confrontations grew out of protests to mark the first anniversary of lethal street battles in the same area.

The first-floor office used by Al Jazeera Mubasher Misr, a station set up after the uprising that toppled President Hosni Mubarak, was badly damaged by fire.

The studio's windows were smashed and two empty bottles, which had apparently been converted into fire bombs, were found inside the office.

The channel was dedicated to covering Egyptian affairs.

The Interior Ministry described the perpetrators as "trouble makers" who had attacked police officers when they had arrived to investigate, the state news agency reported. The public prosecutor has ordered an investigation.

"There were 200 to 250 people gathered outside the studio chanting against the channel," Ahmed Dessouki, a producer with the channel, told Reuters television.

Near Unanimity In Southern Israel On The Need To Enter Gaza

From MSNBC News:

Army must invade': In southern Israel, support grows for action in Gaza

Despite talks of a truce, Israeli airstrikes on Gaza continue, with a Hamas-linked bank being hit overnight along with 10 homes of alleged Palestinian militants. NBC's Richard Engel reports.

ASHKELON, Israel -- As rockets flew over southern Israel on Monday, a Land Rover packed with camping gear stopped in a field and out stepped a man called Boris who offered to make coffee for a nearby NBC news crew.

Their price for accepting the excellent brew was a harangue about Israel's need to invade Gaza and reduce it to rubble. When interrupted, Russia-born Boris just shouted louder.

"Putin! Putin! What would Putin do?" the man screamed. "Think about it! Putin! A football field he would make in Gaza, a football field! What he do in Chechnya? We do same in Gaza."

Boris's 18-year-old son was among the conscripts who had just finished basic training and was waiting, with his paratrooper unit, in a grove of eucalyptus trees for the order to invade. Father and son had not been in contact for days as all soldiers have had their cell phones taken.

NBC's Chuck Todd reports on new developments in the Gaza-Israel conflict in the last 24 hours, as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton heads to Israel, the West Bank and Egypt in an effort to promote a cease-fire.

But Boris, who did not give his last name, was sanguine about his son. "We have to do it. No choice."Ten miles away, sweeping broken glass, shattered bricks and collapsed plaster walls in her neighbor's apartment, which had suffered a rect it from rocket fire. Schneerson went even further.
"You see that window?" Schneerson asked.

There was no window -- it had been blown away by the rocket. "Exactly," she said, "the same. That's what we must do. No window. No Gaza."

Two sides exchange deadly airstrikes, rocket attacks.

It's a familiar refrain in Israel's south-west, which has lived through almost a decade of rocket fire from Gaza. Yet while opinion polls show overwhelming support among Israelis -- around 85 percent -- for its air assault on Gaza, only 25-30 percent support a ground invasion.

There was no separate survey for people from the south of the country. Anecdotally, the support there would be almost unanimous.

Almost every person NBC News spoke to in the south since the fighting began a week ago said there was no choice: The army must invade Gaza and stay as long as it takes to guarantee there will be no more rocket fire from Gaza.  They said they wanted to live their lives in peace, and send their children to school without worrying about whether they would come back in one piece.

Rina, who would not provide a last name, sat on her steps after a rocket landed a hundred yards away in a neighbor's garden in Ashkelon.

"Afraid?" she said. "No, never, I wouldn't give Hamas that pleasure. I'll sit in my bomb shelter for as long as it takes, but our boys have to show Hamas what's what. Of course the army must invade."

The anti-missile system made in Israel and helped by American money, recognizes which rockets will hit an inhabited area and knocks them out while ignoring the others. NBC's Martin Fletcher reports.

Her neighbor, sitting next to her, didn't seem so sure.

She was hugging her little dog, Yoko, which was still trembling from the explosion five minutes earlier. Ambulances and fire-trucks were still drawing up, police cordoned off the area with crime scene tape and medics ran by.

The two women shook their heads.

"We will survive," Rina said. "We will survive."

Pensacola’s First Pentecostal Church (UPCI) Prays for IDF Soldiers and Peace for Israel

Last Sunday, November 18th, 2012, Pastor Brian Kinsey of First Church Pentecostal (UPCI) in Pensacola and members led the congregation in Prayers for IDF soldiers, Israel and the Peace For Jerusalem.

I had given the prayer for IDF soldiers to a long term friend and member of the First Pentecostal Church in Pensacola, Ken Lamb, whom I have known as a good friend of Israel and the Jewish people.  Lamb had introduced me to Pastor Kinsey and more recently the General Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI), Dr. David Bernard. The UPCI is based in St. Louis, Missouri. The UPCI does not proselytize Jews and believes in the oneness of G-d in the Hebrew tradition. The UPCI has more 6.0 million members here in the US and churches spread across 203 locations throughout the world. Israel needs stalwart friends like the UPCI in its current hour of peril facing its enemies in the Muslim Brotherhood and the Shiite Mahdists in Tehran.  Am Yisroel Chai (The People of Israel live).  B"H (Blessings of G-d) for these Christian friends of Israel here in America.

Watch this You Tube video of Pastor Kinsey and congregants at the First Church Pentecostal in Pensacola, Florida  as they invoke G-d’s protection of IDF soldiers and prayers for victory over the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists in Gaza whose rockets threaten the daily lives of over 3.5 million Israelis.

Connecting the Dots between the 2006 and 2012 Tel Aviv Terror Bombings

Tel Aviv 11-21-2012 Terrorist Bus Bombing                                  Late  Daniel Wultz  4-17-2006  Tel Aviv Suicide Bombing

At Noon Wednesday in Tel Aviv, a bomb exploded on an EGGED bus injuring ten people.  According to the AP report, the bus was moving when the bomb exploded not far from Israel’s military headquarters. At virtually the same time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was ending discussions with PA President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah.  The bombing was viewed by Israel national police spokesperson Mickey Rosenfeld as a terrorist event.  Today’s terror bombing comes amidst an intense effort now focused in Cairo where Egyptian President Morsi is trying  to negotiate a cease fire with Hamas leader , Ismail Haniyah, the Palestinian PM in Gaza and Islamic Jihad leader, Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Shalah.   The cease fire amounts to a truce or ‘hudna’ a temporary lull in the week old rocket war.  Shalah, as we  noted in a recent Iconoclast post is on the FBI’s Most Wanted terrorist list. According to The Israel Project, the group claiming  bragging rights for today’s terror bombing in Tel Aviv is none other than the extremist wing of Fatah; the Al  Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.  It noted:

Wednesday's bus bombing in Tel Aviv is now being claimed by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, a group linked to the Palestinian Fatah party that controls the West Bank, according to Palestinian sources cited by Israeli media.

The claim of responsibility contradicts initial reports published on the BBC and elsewhere that Hamas had claimed the terror attack, and subsequent reporting that the attack was coordinated jointly between Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). An analysis by The Israel Project from early October called attention to a joint war room set up by Hamas and PIJ, noting it as a potential signal that Hamas was preparing to escalate its conflict with Israel.

Hamas, an Iran-backed group that controls the Gaza Strip, has "blessed" the attack, boasting about the bombing on social media and celebrating it on Hamas TV. Sweet cakes in celebration of the Israeli wounded were handed out at the main hospital in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.

The AP report on today’s Tel Aviv bombing noted it was the first since April 2006, “

The bombing was the first in the coastal city since April 2006, when a Palestinian suicide bomber   killed 11 people at a sandwich stand near the city's old central bus station.

That bombing in was perpetrated by a member of Islamic Jihad. It is forever etched in the minds of Tuly and Sheryl Wultz of Weston, Florida, whose 16 year son Danny was mortally wounded in the April 2006 bombing.

In May of 2012, a Federal Judge in Washington awarded damages of $337 million to the Daniel Cantor Wultz Foundation.  We posted an Iconoclast article on this significant legal decision that tied the Islamic Jihad that sponsored the suicide bomber ultimately to Syria and the Islamic Republic of Iran.  The news article on the Federal court award noted:

Investigators tied the bombing to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a terrorist group based in Syria’s capital, Damascus, and which claimed responsibility for the attack. Lawyers for the Wultz family presented evidence that the group has received financing and other support from both the Iranian and Syrian governments over the years — making them liable for Daniel’s death.

The lawsuit was brought under a special provision of federal law that allows U.S. citizens to bring claims against foreign governments for terrorist acts. Some $300 million of the judgment was in punitive damages designed to punish Iran and Syria for their roles in the bombing.

“When a state chooses to use terror as a policy tool — as Iran and Syria continue to do — that state forfeits its sovereign immunity and deserves unadorned condemnation,” U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth wrote in his order on Monday — six years to the day after Daniel Wultz died from his injuries after 27 days in the hospital. “Barbaric acts like the April 17, 2006, terrorist bombing have no place in civilized society.”

It is ironic that we called that US Federal Court decision a 'posthumous victory' for the late Danny Wultz and his courageous parents who brought the legal action.   It is ironic because today’s terror bombing in Tel Aviv may have been perpetrated by Islamic Jihad and ultimately Iran currently fomenting a rocket war against Israel.

Tuly Wultz had joined up with David Beamer, father of 9/11 Flight 93 passengers Todd at an event at the State Capital in Tallahassee in March 2010. They talked about Islamic terrorism that claimed both of their sons. Beamer said of Tuly Wultz, a former IDF Special Forces officer:

Tuly Wultz is one fine man and his loss of his son was terrible. Tuly is a warrior, a great man.

When the Federal court decision was handed down, Wultz said:

“We don’t look for any revenge, “Our purpose in our fight is to fight terrorism. We don’t want any more Daniels to die.”

At the conclusion of our May 2012 post on the Federal Court decision arising from the 2006 Tel Aviv bombing we said:

[The Palestinian terrorists] should know that Danny’s ruah, his spirit in Hebrew, lives in Israel’s and the Jewish people’s defense of their ancestral Biblical homeland against the hate that took his life and 10 others in Tel Aviv six years ago.

That hate triggered today’s Tel Aviv bombing and the rockets raining daily on Israel from terrorist run Gaza.  We hope that Israel will vanquish this threat to all Israelis. .

Eight men held after dawn raid on suspected Home Counties paedophile ring

I only had my suspicions that the gang arrested in High Wycombe would prove to be Muslim, based on several things.

The media carefully no mentioning ethnicity, or saying that ‘ethnicity is not known’.

Steve Baker the MP saying “I am grateful to Superintendent Houalla and the team at Wycombe police station for holding a briefing this morning with a diverse group of prominent citizens. Leaders from across the town were united in insisting that our young and vulnerable children must be defended from abuse. We agreed to stand together against criminality of this disgusting kind irrespective of the ethnicity of the accused . . .” which is tantamount to admitting that the men are not ‘white British’.

The arrests in March of a Muslim sex gang in nearby Oxford who appear regularly at  High Wycombe Magistrates court.

A remarkably similar MO to that of other sex gangs.

The history of terrorist activity among Muslims in High Wycombe.

The Daily Mail confirmed earlier today that the men arrested are ‘Asian’ which is of course code for Muslims (with a background from the Indian sub-continent)

A gang of Asian men were arrested during pre-dawn raids yesterday on suspicion of being part of a Home Counties paedophile ring.

The eight suspects were hauled from their homes at around 5am by 100 officers after a three-month investigation into child exploitation.

Police carried out the raids after a teenage girl told them how she had been raped and abused for five years from the age of 12. Although only one victim has come forward so far, detectives believe the paedophile ring could be responsible for abusing several other girls.

Officers are understood to be investigating claims that one of the 10 homes in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, which were raided was used to host parties where girls were abused.

The victim who has come forward is understood to have told a social worker how she was ‘handed around among the men’ for five years. Last night neighbours living next to one of the homes that was raided claimed it was often used for wild late-night parties by Asian men. The modest terrace home in a quiet cul-de-sac was broken into using a police battering ram at 5am yesterday.

Forensic experts spent most of the day collecting evidence from the house while a van of uniformed officers remained nearby.

One neighbour, who asked to remain anonymous, said: ‘There were groups of them, Asian men, who would drive up in nice cars - BMWs and Mercedes - and have parties there. They didn’t live there. I don’t think anyone was living there. They just used the house for parties. The men looked well off. I feel sick thinking about it.’

All 10 men, aged between 20 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of committing various sexual offences against the girl. The investigation, codenamed Operation Ribbon, was led by Detective Chief Inspector Vince Grey who made an appeal for other victims of abuse to come forward.

He said: ‘With this particular victim, she’s mainly discussed actions involving herself, not going into any great details in terms of other persons, but we believe in terms of what she told us that there will be other victims.”

The other senior officer involved in the investigation is a very interesting man. I viewed a video clip of him briefing the press  and found he had an unusual non English accent. So I looked him up. His name is Gilbert Houalla. He is French born (Toulouse) but has been in the British police for over 20 years, rising up the ranks from constable. He is of Lebanese descent (but I would imagine Christian from his Christian name) and spent a lot of his career in covert anti-terrorism. He also speaks several dialects of Arabic.

Terrorism and child sex abuse - a speaker of Arabic could be useful investigating both.

Jesus was born years earlier than thought, says Pope

Jesus could have been born in the summer of 7BC for all we know. The Telegraph:

The 'mistake' was made by a sixth century monk known as Dionysius Exiguus or in English Dennis the Small, the 85-year-old pontiff claims in the book 'Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives', published on Wednesday.

"The calculation of the beginning of our calendar – based on the birth of Jesus – was made by Dionysius Exiguus, who made a mistake in his calculations by several years," the Pope writes in the book, which went on sale around the world with an initial print run of a million copies.

"The actual date of Jesus's birth was several years before."

The assertion that the Christian calendar is based on a false premise is not new – many historians believe that Christ was born sometime between 7BC and 2BC.

But the fact that doubts over one of the keystones of Christian tradition have been raised by the leader of the world's one billion Catholics is striking.

Dennis the Small, who was born in Eastern Europe, is credited with being the "inventor" of the modern calendar and the concept of the Anno Domini era.

He drew up the new system in part to distance it from the calendar in use at the time, which was based on the years since the reign of the Roman emperor Diocletian.

The emperor had persecuted Christians, so there was good reason to expunge him from the new dating system in favour of one inspired by the birth of Christ.

The monk's calendar became widely accepted in Europe after it was adopted by the Venerable Bede, the historian-monk, to date the events that he recounted in his Ecclesiastical History of the English People, which he completed in AD 731.

But exactly how Dennis calculated the year of Christ's birth is not clear and the Pope's claim that he made a mistake is a view shared by many scholars.

The Bible does not specify a date for the birth of Christ. The monk instead appears to have based his calculations on vague references to Jesus's age at the start of his ministry and the fact that he was baptised in the reign of the emperor Tiberius.

Christ's birth date is not the only controversy raised by the Pope in his new book – he also said that contrary to the traditional Nativity scene, there were no oxen, donkeys or other animals at Jesus's birth.

He also weighs in on the debate over Christ's birthplace, rejecting arguments by some scholars that he was born in Nazareth rather than Bethlehem.

John Barton, Professor of the Interpretation of the Holy Scripture at Oriel College, Oxford University, said most academics agreed with the Pope that the Christian calendar was wrong and that Jesus was born several years earlier than commonly thought, probably between 6BC and 4BC.

"There is no reference to when he was born in the Bible - all we know is that he was born in the reign of Herod the Great, who died before 1AD," he told The Daily Telegraph. "It's been surmised for a very long time that Jesus was born before 1AD - no one knows for sure."

The idea that Christ was born on Dec 25 also has no basis in historical fact. "We don't even know which season he was born in. The whole idea of celebrating his birth during the darkest part of the year is probably linked to pagan traditions and the winter solstice."

A Small Glimmer of Light in the City of Light (Now Increasingly Darkened by Islam); 1000+ Jews, and Some Righteous Gentiles, Rally To Support Israel

As reported by Nadav Shemer for Jerusalem Post.

'Parisians Rally In Solidarity With Israel'

'Over a thousand people gathered outside Israeli Embassy in a peaceful demonstration supporting Operation Pillar of Defense.

'PARIS - A couple of thousand people gathered outside the Israeli Embassy in Paris, Tuesday evening, in a peaceful demonstration supporting the country during Operation Pillar of Defense.

'As dozens of policemen in riot gear patrolled the adjacent Champs Elysees (and since the Jews and those Righteous Gentiles who had stepped forward to stand with them, were not likely to riot, why, pray, did the French authorities need those riot police? - we all know the answer...the fear that the Mohammedan mobs who swarm in Paris might riot, and attack those who were defying the Jihad by standing up for Israel. - CM), Jewish community leaders, local politicians and representatives of pro-Israel groups took to the stage to denounce Hamas rocket attacks and call for the French government to back the Jewish state.

'the demonstration was organized by the French Jewish umbrella organization, CRIF, and several other community groups, including B'nai Brith.

'French Chief Rabbi Gilles Bernheim came to the microphone first, delivering a poetic speech about "friends and family living for years to the rhythm of missiles and sirens."

'Addressing all of France's rabbis and imams, he said that if they chose to invoke the situation in the Middle East during their sermons, they must do so with respect for the gravity of the situation.

Nonsensical moral equivalence, alas.  There is not the remotest possibility that any rabbi in France would tell young Jewish men to rise up and attack Muslims on the street, or burn or bomb mosques; but there is every possibility  that there are imams and other Muslim 'clerics' in France who are - behind closed doors - openly and explicitly egging on Muslim men, resident within France, to emulate Mohammed Merah and attack Jews, any Jews, anywhere. - CM

'Claude Goasguen, mayor of the 16th arrondissement - an area of Paris with a large Jewish population - was one of several speakers to criticize French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius for his alleged failure to back Israel unequivocally.  Each mention of Fabius's name elicited jeers from a large proportion of the crowd.

'Other speakers included the president of the Society of Armenian Support for Israel, who declared that "Israel is not a terrorist state", before shouting, "Am Yisrael Hai!" (the people of Israel live) into the microphone.

'The crowd, which numbered around 2,000 according to a local television crew, contained a diverse mix of young and old.

'Many waved Israeli and French flags, or held placards with the message that France and other Western nations must support Israel and confront terrorism.

It's a start, I guess.  But we will know we are getting somewhere when a rally like this is a sea of posters proclaiming that France and other Western nations must support Israel and resist the Jihad. - CM

'Annabelle Timsit, a recent high school graduate who works at the Paris Holocaust Memorial, told The Jerusalem Post that she hoped people of all religions would come to show their support for the fact that Israel was defending itself and not attacking poor civilians, "as the media would lilke us to believe".

'Meir Djeb was there along with several other members of the Federation of Black Jews, an organization representing Paris's approximately 250 black Jewish families.  The group's members come mainly from Israel (where they would be Falasha from Ethiopia; one of the young yeshiva students massacred by a Muslim jihad terror raider in Jerusalem some years ago, was of Ethiopian extraction - CM), Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria.

The last-four named countries of origin are somewhat surprising.  It is possible that rather than being Falasha, the 'black Jews' of Africa with roots going back over a millennium, these people may be recent African converts to Judaism.  A much braver and more imaginative choice, than converting to Islam, the religion of the Arab and Arabised slave-lords who have terrorised and ruined black Africa for 1200 years and counting. - CM

"We are united behind the Israeli people and Tzahal [the Israel Defense Force]" Djeb told the Post.  "It is very important that all of Europe knows that the real terrorists are Hamas".

Let us hope that this rally is a harbinger of better and bigger things to come; and in particular, let us hope that non-Muslim black immigrants may pay attention to what the 'black Jews' are saying, and that Annabelle Timsit's call for persons of all faiths (she had better, rather, have summoned all non-Muslims) to come and stand with Israel, and to recognise that Israel is simply defending itself, will be heeded.  It would be good to see Catholic Antilleans, and ex-Muslim Berbers, and Hindus from French Guiana and Mauritius and Buddhists from among France's Indochinese community, and the large Coptic emigre community, and native French Catholics and Reformed Protestants, turning out in force, together with nonreligious French who have done their homework  - as Robert Redeker did - and recognised the meaning and menace of Islam.  When we see on the Champs Elysees a rally not of some two thousand, but of tens of thousands, Jews protectively surrounded by ten or twenty times their number of non-Jews, holding up banners that say, 'Support Israel. Defeat Jihad', or 'Support Israel.  Resist Jihad', or 'Je suis un arbre Gharkad',, or 'Nous sommes toute Israel', then we will know that there is hope for France and for the soul of France.

Muslim Suburban Jihad in French Hill, Jerusalem; Just Part of the Story That Our Western Journalists Seldom Deign to Mention

The group of reports from the Israeli English-language press to which I now draw attention record individual incidents that are part of what must be called a Muslim war of attrition against Jews within Israel, and specifically, in this case, Jerusalem's French Hill neighbourhood.

These incidents - arson, and a stabbing, and the daily smaller uglinesses that are described within the first account  by an exasperated Jewish resident of the neighbourhood - took place before Hamas began firing huge volleys of rockets at Israel and before Israel belatedly responded to that attack; and they will, I have no doubt, continue, growing steadily worse, unless and until real and harsh consequences are imposed upon the Muslim rock-throwers, arsonists and would-be murderers, than are being imposed at the present time.   This situation is not unique to Israel, either; I am sure that our Indian non-Muslim readers, and those from France, for example, will find the attitudes and actions here described to be all too wearily reminiscent of the kind of thing that they themselves are enduring from Muslims.

First, from Israel National News, Gil Ronen and Hezki Ezra reporting, earlier this month.

'Exclusive Video: Arabs Torch Jewish Neighbors' Cars'

Alternatively: 'Muslims Torch Jewish Neighbors' Cars' - CM

'Security camera captures Arab terror act (that is, 'Arab Muslim terror act' - CM) in Jerusalem's French Hill.

'A security camera installed by Victor Chernovsky, a resident of French Hill in Jerusalem, captured three Arabs (that is, three Arab Muslims; I'd bet money they were Muslims, not Christians, though they could be from deeply-dhimmified Islamochristian families, currying favour with their Muslim masters by hating on the Jews - CM) in the act of setting fire to the Chernovsky family's cars, Tuesday night.

"Last night at 10:40, in the Tzameret neighbourhood, which is a part of French Hill, my wife and i had gone to sleep, and so had the kids", Chernovsky told Arutz Sheva.  "Suddenly I heard the dogs barking, and there was an explosion.  We already had something like this happen last year, and we installed a camera, and it transmits a picture that we can see on our iPhones."

'Chernovsky described daily harassment by Arab neighbours (that should probably read, 'by Arab Muslim neighbours' - CM).

"They constantly throw rocks at us in the wadi.  All the time. Children aged 8 or 9 pelt us with rocks and above them, the Border Police stand there; and they [the Muslim mini-bullies - CM] curse and laugh at them.

"They set off fireworks at 11 pm or 12 midnight.  It's impossible to live here.

"They threw a rock at my wife's car when she was inside with two grandmothers.  Then on March 8, international women's day, they gave her a 'gift' and burned her car".

"I have great appreciation for the police", he said earnestly.  "They come and they do what they can, which is not much.  These guys are maybe 18 or 20 and they escape into the village.  And if police try to go into the village, it is like Gaza.  Every police car that goes in is pelted with a hail of rocks.

"So the question is, is this a part of Jerusalem or not?

The answer to that, Mr Chernovsky, is that it is a part of the land of Israel that the local Arab Muslims are working hard to turn into Dar al Islam. And if Israeli law enforcement does not come down on this Muslim mayhem soon, and hard, like a ton of bricks, then Israel will lose this piece of ground, and it will be difficult to get back. - CM

"Are we being slowly driven out of here?

Yes, Mr Chernovsky, you are; unless you and the other Jews, and Israeli law enforcement, fight back.  Driving you out is precisely the intention of the Muslims, just as it was the intention of the Muslims who took over large areas of the western suburbs of Sydney, in Australia, and drove out little old ladies from their homes and forced them to sell up cheap (to Muslims) and flee, by bullying them in exactly the way that the Muslims in French Hill are bullying you.   As described in the classic Sydney Morning Herald article by Paul Sheehan, on 13 August 2006:

Sheehan's friend Judith,  who "managed an agency helping war widows...encountered 'dozens' of cases where people were harassed by Muslim neighbours who wanted them gone.  'It was common', she told me. 'A lot of these ladies couldn't take it, and moved out.  It happened in Campsie, Belmore, Lakemba, Bankstown, Punchbowl...

"It was everything...throwing rubbish over the fence, screaming abuse, blocking the driveways, knocking fences down.  One guy would throw coffee grains on the window and bottles on the roof late at night...I confronted some of them, and the men would call me a lot of names, mostly in Arabic."

And so, back to Mr Chernovsky, in French Hill, Jerusalem. - CM

"My neighbours have left.  And we feel like we are hostages of the [Arab/ Muslim - CM] village.  They can walk around freely and receive employment and we can't enter their village".

And that is the fundamental problem.  Muslim non-reciprocity, and people being afraid to 'call' them out on it.  Muslims go into a place inhabited by Jews, and throw rocks, and burn cars; but woe betide an ordinary Jew who dares set foot in the Arab Muslim village!   It seems to be taken for granted by so many who push for a '2 state solution' that any future Arab (and, therefore, Islamic, there is no way it won't be) State of 'Palestine', that such a state will be pristinely Judenrein, like most other Arab Islamic states have become by the expedient of killing or driving out all the ancient Jewish communities that once lived within them; yet those same proponents of the 2 state solution would be horrified by the idea of an Israel that did not have lots of Muslims living inside its borders,  and would be even more horrified by the very idea that any non-Muslim state, anywhere in the world, might try to hinder or halt Muslim immigration or even - driven to distraction by the ceaselessly pullulating jihad plots that every Muslim colony throughout the world is throwing up, and by all the other misconduct of the kind Sheehan's friend saw Muslims getting up to in Sydney, and that Chernovsky and his Jewish neighbours are suffering from Muslims in Jerusalem - consider the expulsion of some or all of those Muslims already present. - CM

'Chernovsky said that other news outlets were not interested in the story.

'French Hill is a mostly Jewish neighbourhood in the northeast part of Jerusalem, and is home to many students fromt he nearby Hebrew University campus, who rent apartments in the neighbourhood.

'In recent years, several Arab (sic: probably, more accurately, 'Arab Muslim' - CM) families have bought homes in the neighbourhood, often to the chagrin of residents, who fear that even if the homeowners are law-abiding, Arab terrorists from nearby villages could use the French Hill Arab residents as a 'cover' to get into the neighbourhood and carry out terror attacks.

Their fear is entirely reasonable. The Ummah, or Mohammedan Mob, is the sheltering sea within which the jihadists, the sharia assassins, swim, and from which, ceaselessly, they emerge.  Each occurrence of 'Arab' in the above paragraph, should probably be mentally retranslated as 'Arab Muslim'. - CM

'The situation in French Hill is symptomatic of Israel in the current generation.  Arab (that is, Arab Muslim - CM) violence toward Jews is increasingly commonplace and brazen, yet police and the military are hamstrung by ultra-leftists in the press, in the judicial system, in political positions, and within the security forces themselves.'

And that is not only the case in Israel.  A de facto dhimmi mindset - and not only among 'ultra -leftists' - has taken hold among far too many, in too many of the lands of the non-Muslims.

Now to the follow-up report, from David Lev, also in Israel National News.

'Two vehicles were set fire [to] in the French Hill neighbourhood of Jerusalem, for 'nationalistic motives', police said.

'Nationalistic motives'.  No: the attack was Islamically motivated. - CM

'Two vehicles were set [on] fire wednesday night in the French Hill neighbourhood of Jerusalem.  Police said that all evidence points to "nationalistic motives" in the incident.  Police have opened an investigation and are pursuing numerous leads.

"The cars were badly damaged. There were no injuries in the attack.

'Police have established that arsonists threw flammable material at the vehicles and set them on fire...

'The arson attack joined other recent instances of Arab rioting and vandalism..".

It was followed, not long after, by an assault  - in the same neighbourhood - that should probably be seen as an attempted murder. The initial report:

'Terrorist stabs Mother in Face in Jerusalem'.

'An Arab terrorist (that is, an Arab Muslim assassin - CM) attacked a Jewish woman on Sunday afternoon in Jerusalem's French Hill neighbourhood, residents of the area have reported.  The attacker struck as the woman sat in a car with her two young children, opening the car door and stabbing her in the face.  The woman was taken to hospital in light condition..".

Then more detail:

'Arab Stabs Israeli Woman in French Hill Incident'.

That is: 'Muslim Man Stabs Jewish Woman in French Hill Incident' - CM

'An Arab terrorist attacked and stabbed an Israeli woman in her 30s during an attempted carjacking in the French Hill neighbourhood of Jerusalem [on] Sunday afternoon.

"Attempted carjacking"?  Since he stabbed her in the face,  I would call it "attempted murder". - CM

'The woman was taken to Hadassah Mt Scopus Hospital for treatment.  Doctors said she suffered light wounds and would likely be released later Sunday.

'The incident occurred outside the Jinogli school in French Hill.

'Witnesses told Arutz Sheva that the woman was sitting in a vehicle with two children, waiting for her husband, who was finishing up a meeting inside the building.

'A man who appeared to be an Arab forcibly wrenched open the driver's side door and stabbed the woman in the face, in an apparent effort to steal the car.

'Police opened an investigation and are searching for the culprit....".

The woman describes what happened:

"I Started Screaming and Struggling With Him'.

'The woman who was attacked by a knife-wielding Arab as she sat in her car in Jerusalem told her harrowing story to Arutz Sheva...She asked not to be identified.

"I sat in the car next tot he students' dormitories of the Hebrew University at French Hill", the woman said.  "I waited with my children for my husband who was in a meeting in the school when an Arab with a box cutter entered the car".

"I started screaming and we wrestled with the terrorist", she said, adding that her screams drove away the terrorist. "He was frightened by the screams (probably because it was daylight, and there were other non-Jewish persons about who might hear the woman and come to her aid - CM) and after he passed the knife over my face, he escaped.

She is lucky. - CM

'She said that police told her the attack was motivated by nationalist terrorism, and was not just a criminal attempt to steal her car.

"It is not nice to undergo such an experience", she summed up...'.

Understatement of the year.

Among the comments, one 'don' remarked acidly, "Attack motivated by nationalist terrorism"...NOT!!!  How utterly idiotic!!   It is not nation against nation, it is the MUSLIM against the Jew.  TRUTH MATTERS!!!".

'don' is spot on. - CM
