Comment Analysis on Pro-Islamic Immigration Huffpo Article

We've disccused the noticable change in the comments sections of newspapers recently. This comes from Libertyphile at Islam Surveyed.

In a recent Huffington Post article Dr Leon Moosavi, expert on Muslims in Britain, Islamophobia and conversion to Islam, asks the question “Why Has the Number of Muslims in the UK Risen So Much?”

He gives several answers:

Muslims have a higher birth rate than people of other faiths.

Many Muslim societies are dominated by conflict which has led to a significant number of Muslims seeking more secure prospects in the UK.

The presence of an existing Muslim population has played a role in encouraging Muslims to come to the UK. Prospective migrants know they will find relatives, friends or a prospective community well established here.

The growing number of Britons who are choosing to convert to Islam. There are estimations that hundreds of Britons convert to Islam every month which certainly contributes to the steadily increasing number of Muslims.

He then asks: So what does the growth in the number of Muslims mean?

And provides more answers:

The large number of Muslim residents, most of whom are citizens who hold a British passport, are entitled to vote and pay their taxes, should be respected as a significant part of the nation who may have unique needs, but who also have a unique contribution to make to the nation.

.... By the next census Muslims may even double again and make up 10% of the population. These statistics encourage us to think more carefully about the provisions made for British Muslims and the ways in which they are an integral part of the nation.

No doubt you will have your own views (and some questions) about this but what of Huffington Post readers, are they in sympathy with Dr Moosavi? Are they happy we have so many Muslims who apparently may have “unique needs”?

You have probably guessed the answer! But what will surprise and shock you is the scale and virulence of the dislike for the large number of Muslim immigrants we have allowed in the UK shown by these Huffington Post readers.

YES, this is the publication that has as its Political editor, Mehdi Hasan, a former New Statesman journalist described as a devout Muslim who has praised Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and is on record in a video clip saying “Once we lose the moral high ground we are no different from the rest of the non-Muslims, from the rest of those human beings who live their lives as animals, bending any rule to fulfill any desire.” And, NO, the Huffington Post readers in question are not a flash mob of BNP/EDL members.

You have to sign up to comment on the Huffington Post and some of those whose views are reported here are so-called “HUFFPOST SUPER USERS” and most have “Fans” numbering from a handful to thousands. They are Huffington Post regulars.

Dr Moosavi’s article attracted 284 comments, a high number for the Huffington Post.

71% say we have too many immigrants and Islam is a problem. This could be as high as 80% if those comments that were removed by Huffington Post moderators are assumed to be anti-Islam and anti-immigrant (a reasonable assumption)

18% of comments were neutral, unclassifiable, just chit-chat, or off-topic.

2% had something friendly to say about Dr Moosavi’s analysis

9% of comments were removed by the HP

These results are summarised in the following table.

Analysis of 284 comments

Type of comment

Too many immigrants / Islam is a problem

Neutral/unclassifiable etc.

Something friendly to say

So much for the scale of dislike, now for the virulence.

Extracts from a selection of comments in the order they were made are given below. Several which are particularly notable are maked with a hash#

There are hand-outs to just about everyone who lands on our shores.

Once one member of a family is here, a whole family, whether skilled, gifted, or whatever age, whether they have financial resouces or not, seems to then be able to get on the next plane to follow.

Meanwhile, other [citizens] who are in desperate need even for a short time, during periods of unemployment, or sickness, get very little indeed, and yet have contributed to the welfare pot for years.

There is a need for integration, & for all sections of the UK population to recognise the need to limit family size.

Maybe a law should deal with it

To the MP 's of this country [labour, conservative, & lib's ] YOU HAVE LET US DOWN. ......... as of now I & my family will be voting UKIP.

Good post, I'll be voting that way too!

All countries that have Islam as their main faith are torn apart by war, suffer poverty, have no idea how to operate a democratic society, look what is happening in Egypt. Once they have power they will not let it go. This is the thin end of a very disturbing wedge

Stevie Bee
Muslims come to the UK, breed more than the norm, and naturally expect and get whatever it is they want too make them happy. Essentailly not caring less if anyone else is upset, distressed or simply irritated by it. As long as they're catered for they're okay... and protest loudly when they're not. Oh, and throw in a few accusations of racist too for good measure.

They come here because they know they can turn whichever part of this country they choose to live into a mini islamic ghetto.
They come here because the benefits they receive here far outweigh their expected income in their home country.
They come here because life here is better.
They come here because they can use our economy to further their own faith, knowing that similar Christian behaviour would not be tolerated where they originate from.
They come here to have their children and then educate those children at the UK's expense.
They come here because they can.

NO. Of course these statements do not apply to all muslims there are thousands of hard working muslims who want nothing more than a reasonable life for them and their families.,

Sadly too many DO fall into one or more of the preceding categories outlined and I DO believe we must guard against the rising tide of islam in our own country.

Am I a racist or a xenophobe?

No I am a miniscule part of middle England, but I have concerns that unless we begin to reassert the culture of our own country we will be overwhelmed eventually.

I am here because my father came here in the early 60s from Pakistan, worked until retirement and has always been very positive about the UK and against the way some Muslims have gone – lack of work ethic and not being loyal to their country.

Personally, I think UK should massively reduce immigration from poor countries and restrict it to only those with a skill and/or well educated. We don't need more un skilled un educated immigrants who go in to low pay jobs and then need welfare to survive. Also english should be made essential before they are allowed in or only in exceptional cases, can they come in before learning English.

Child benefit should be stopped after the 2nd child. Housing benefit should only be for a year, if they need welfare for most of their income, they should be deported. For myself, I hold a MSc and have worked since it (non stop-since 95) in various govt and private organisations. My wife is a dentist and we have 1 daughter and she'll probably be the only one we have.

Mr Sanity
For the most part, the native population can read the Qur’an and see it for the hateful drivel that it is.

What was it Gaddafi said?..."by the wombs of our women, we will conquer lands without a single shot being fired"

Why has the number of Muslims in the UK risen so much? Is he joking. Where else in the world would they be handed a house? more money than they have ever had in their lives? free health care, free education? no need to work?

What right have successive Governments had to throw the hard earned money of the working population at these people?

Mr Sanity
There is a certain difficulty with expecting the younger generation of Muslims to discard religion as have former Christians in that they have a much more controlling culture, with rejection from family, former friends, and/or their entire community being one of the most common outcomes of open apostasy.

What a stupid question WHY? We all know why, a house with a proper roof on it, benefits - free NHS - etc etc etc, they hate us but are quite happy to use of system to the max …. they breed like rabbits because that way they can get more and more benefits

Muslims don't mix well [and] do not assimilate They don't help themselves much either with people like Abu Hamza calling the UK a "toilet" (while claiming benefits).

It’s a historical fact that Christians and Muslims never get along and even their Koran says not to trust us etc. Yet successive govts continue to allow them in and the people are ignored.

One day there will be a point when the people have had enough and the UK is overcrowded, and all those years ago Enoch Powell will be right - all be it, not black v White, but it will be Muslims against the rest..

Enoch Powell was often ridiculed for his "Rivers of Blood" speech bit in essence much of what he predicted has come true. Thanks to the last Labour government under Blair & Brown we have had almost uncontrolled immigration over the last ten years added to which is the incompetance of the Borders Agency who do virtually zero to find and eject overstayers. As Powell said “we must be mad".

Our country is silently being invaded by immigrants many of them Muslim who are intent on creating an Islamic state with Shariah Law in United Kingdom. They are already in the majority in London, Birmingham and Leicster and at the rate they reproduce no doubt other major cities will follow until the white anglo saxon is the exception to the rule.

Can we trust our politicians to get a grip of the situation ... NO They are too busy feathering their own nests and fiddling their expenses.

I work with a Muslim and he is married to, and has had kids with his cousin. He was also born out of inbreeding and as a number of health related issue. Multiply this with all the others and you have one big drain on the NHS.

Colonal Gaddafi summed it up this way. In an interview on Al Jazeera he said this, "Islam will take over Europe without violent force within a few decades

We have 50 million Muslims in Europe, there are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe – without swords, without guns, without conquests. The 50 million Muslims of Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades, if Turkey is added to the European Union, Europe will have another 50 million Muslims”.

There is no way that Islam as an ideology can sustain a modern stable, prosperous, technological civilisation such as our own.

This country will be ruined as will the rest of Europe. Look at the state of the Islamic world, only the Gulf states have a decent GDP per capita and that's because of hydrocarbons and is dependent on Western know how and expertise.

None of them are capable of producing anything the world wants, either economically or culturally. The Islamic world is completely parasitical on the developed world and is dependent on it for aid to pay for essentials.

At the current rate it's a question of when not if. Thankfully I'll be dead and buried when the black flag of Islam hangs over Downing Street. The politicians have been warned repeatedly but they just don't listen.

I would say it's because we're not allowed to kick them out!!

Not just london, they are spreading at an alarming rate into the surrounding towns. Like someone said in a post above, this isn't immigrantion - this is an invasion.

Rabbits come to mind, what's up doc, oh I'm preggie again

Time for the government to limit them to one child, let the NHS start sterilising them when they go into hospital..

Your ideas look like the ones 70 years ago, Nazi Germany. Bit extreme if you ask me.

It couldn't possibly be that more and more are coming here, having more children therefore claiming more child allowance, claiming as many benefits as possible, getting free housing, taking advantage of a free health service etc. could it?

Free Housing, Free Medical Treatment, Free Money, Free Education, Free Dentists, Free Opticians, so why wouldn't you want to come here?

It is because they have done what Hitler could not do - INVADE US.

With Labours blessing!

Everyone should notice that the huge increase in immigration of Muslims and non-Christians took place during New Labour’s watch.

The doors are wide open and the first ones that have crossed the dam decades ago are followed in plane - and ship loads.

Loads of (for instance) Pakistani and Indian ladies in the UK, but no, the families/men need to import new ones from the 'motherland' as the local ones are too developed and 'western'.

Lack of Zyclon B?

Enoch Powell, a great man, shouted down by the left for telling the truth

I refuse to comment on this story as I would be branded a racist for speaking my mind

Mickey Mouse 1
To carry the projections further, it is not unrealistic to see the Muslim flag flying over Westminster.

Really aren’t we all sick of muslims?

"Why has the number of muslims risen so much?" let me think......they breed like rabbits? We let them in without question? ...shall I go on?

They do have more kids per family then the traditional English family yes. Twice as many if not more. And they marry younger as well.

Stop the benefits system, see the numbers drop. Simple.

Labour relaxed the primary purpose rule allowing spouses to settle here. They also seem to have had ideological reasons for basically rendering the Border Agency and its predecessor completely unfit for purpose so that illegal immigrants never left the country. It really isn't that hard running a bureaucracy and its associated database/filing system. To get it this wrong is automatically going to raise suspicions this was done by design.

As for contributing a significant proportion of our GDP only a minority of immigrants are in high earning jobs, many don't work at all and contribute nothing. When you consider the costs of health care, schooling and all the other infrastructure needed to support the additional numbers then it is highly probable that mass immigration lowers the key GDP per capita figure.

"There are several reasons why the number of Muslims has doubled." Yes, this could possibly be because this joke of a country lets every Tom, Dick and Harry in to it. Then again why wouldn't you come here, housing, benefits, free health care, why not!!

"So what does the growth in the number of Muslims mean?"

One day this country will be a Islamic country, because they will just take over. Only ones that should be able to come here are the ones that are going to be beneficial to our country, i.e doctors. Apart from that they should not be allowed here. Bet their country's wouldn't allow us to go over there and sponge off their government. Absolute joke.

The UK benefits system is so sloppy and open to abuse that it must be a significant pull factor for the poor in third world & developing countries.

By simply getting residence status, you can sign on and get money for life (much more than you will get working in Africa or Pakistan), council-funded accommodation AND child benefit for each child you have (providing an incentive to have more and more kids), thus creating a vicious circle of an ever-increasing Muslim percentage of our population.

1. They have more kids than their non Muslim counterparts
2. We have sloppy immigration controls
3. You can get money for staying at home in this country
4. Then you can work as a private hire driver and live a decent lifestyle without paying a penny in tax.

The issue of high birth rates within the muslim community seems to be only skimmed over in this article, even though this is clearly a greater contributor than actual new migration and far greater than conversion.

There are at least three factors we have known for some time which affect fertility rates: low socioeconomic status, under-education of women, and the average age of marriage. We can see in pretty much every country in the world that birth rates are significantly higher among the poor, uneducated and young.

Without wishing to make too many generalisations, the islamic community in the UK tend to reside in deprived, urban areas and their tradition is one which encourages early marriage, particularly for women. If these conditions persist, it is reasonable to assume that the growth of the population will continue apace.

However, it is not reasonable to assume that increased integration into UK society - which is happening, however slowly - will not have an affect. We are already seeing that teenagers of South Asian origin are more likely to stay in school post-GCSE and the numbers are applying to university are increasing steadily.

Furthermore, women of South Asian origin are actually more likely to go than men. This should absolutely be encouraged, not just for their own benefit, but for the reduction in fertility rates which education tends to cause. We can do this by lowering, or preferably eliminating tuition fees and promoting higher education wherever possible.

Can't Friedman Be Fired? More On His Vaporings

From The National Interest:

Friedman, Chekhov and Other Illusions

The pullquote for Tom Friedman’s column yesterday perhaps said it best, “Returning to the same-old, same-old.”

Friedman’s repetitive writing has hit an a new low with his column “Pussy Riot, Tupac and Putin.” What does the piece have to do with any of these three figures? Very little, it turns out. In fact, the column’s intent is difficult to glean.

With the organization of a seventh grade essay whose author is chatting online and popping Red Bull, the column spends the lede recounting an obscure Chekhov play titled Three Sisters. This is significant because apparently Putin brings out the “Three Sisters in [Friedman].” No word on what that might mean. Being deeply interested in Friedman’s inner workings though, we are intrigued. He continues, “Every time I come [to Moscow], I expect to find that, this time, Russia is really pivoting from being a petro-state, with a heavy authoritarian gloss…to a country that has decided to invest in education, innovation and its human capital.” I can definitively say this figures nowhere into the desires or dreams of anyone in Three Sisters. This author would recount Freidman’s whole sentence for effect, but it’s nearly seventy words long.

With this bungled comparison in mind, Friedman then decides it’s time to talk about why NATO expansion was a mistake. No contest, but this has what to do with Chekhov and Tupac Shakur? We’re halfway through the column now, and these threads show no sign of intertwining. An odd paragraph that feels like Friedman wants to sit down with everyone who cares about Russia and stage an intervention ensues: “Russia would be so much more influential as America’s partner than it would be as Iran or Syria’s patron,” he pleads. After all, Russia couldn’t possibly view this situation differently than we do.

Teleport to Vladislav Y. Surkov’s office. Are we in Three Sisters? Crime and Punishment? Unclear. It emerges that Surkov is Russia’s deputy prime minister for modernization. He has pictures of Google co-founder Sergery Brin, TV pioneer Vladimir Zworykin, and Tupac Shakur up on his wall. You can almost hear the music now: One of these things is not like the others… Friedman presses Surkov on the similarities between Tupac and Pussy Riot to which, Surkov, the only sane person in this column says, “Pussy Riot is no Tupac Shakur.”

Indeed, sir. Indeed. But Friedman can’t leave it alone, “Pussy Riot is probably no Tupac.” (Did Friedman listen to either before writing this column in his sleep at 3 a.m.? Even he is unsure.) “But the band members were iconoclasts who broke the mold, albeit in an offensive and obnoxious manner. Isn’t that what critics said about Steve Jobs?”

End Scene.

I’m imagining that NYT editors have taken a “let Friedman be Friedman” approach to these situations. I’ll have to add my befuddlement with this column to the list of questions other women have for Tom. After all, I’m sure he can tell me what I should think about it.

Melanie Philips On The Inability Of Western Leaders To Understand The Muslim Brotherhood
21 December 2012

Into the abyss

From Melanie's blog

To an astonishing silence by the media on both sides of the pond, the US along with the UK and a number of European governments is leading the west into an abyss. I have repeatedly noted here that the US, UK and France helped bring to power in Egypt Islamic extremists hostile to the free world, and were threatening to do something very similar in Syria. Now they have indeed done so by recognising the Syrian National Council as the legitimate leader of the Syrian opposition.

The thinking behind this is to designate the al-Qaeda linked Jabhat al-Nusra as a terrorist group, while supporting the Muslim Brotherhood – which dominates the Syrian National Council -- as a reasonable alternative. But this is the same catastrophic mistake the US et al have made in Egypt. For the Brotherhood are not a reasonable alternative to Islamic extremists hostile to the west. They are themselves Islamic extremists hostile to the west.

The disastrous implications of this fundamental strategic mistake were spelled out in a forensic piece by Jonathan Spyer in the Jerusalem Post. As Spyer observed:

‘The difference between the Salafis and the Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups is one of degree, not of kind.

‘... The focus on Jabhat al Nusra should not obscure the fact that the better-organized, non-Salafi, home grown, Muslim Brotherhood elements that the US is backing are no less anti-western and no less anti-Jewish.

‘Could things have been different? As with Egypt, perhaps, if the west had perceived the risks and opportunities clearly at the start. This might have triggered a vigorous policy of support for non-Islamist opposition and fighting elements, which were there.

‘The result is that the force now facing the retreating Assad regime is split between differing brands of Sunni Arab Islamism, some aligned with the west, some directly opposing it, but all holding fast to fundamentally anti-western ideologies.’

Barry Rubin spells out even more starkly the looming disaster for the west from its idiocy over Syria:

‘American intelligence agents in southern Turkey supervise the handover of weapons to the rebels. They make no attempt to stop arms from going to the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists while they make no attempt to funnel the guns to moderates. The only restriction is that they not go to al-Qaeda-affiliated Salafists.

‘One day, those guns will be used to commit unspeakable atrocities against Christians and other minority groups just as they will be used to install an Islamist regime and to kill or intimidate its opponents.’

The mistake being made by the US and the rest is as deep-seated as it is egregious. The campaign in the west to promote the Muslim Brotherhood (to its motto: ‘Islam is the solution’ one obviously has to ask, ‘But what is the problem?’) as helpful allies against those who want to bring the west down has been making relentless and dismaying progress into the establishment for years – an establishment that refuses to see the Brothers for what they are, in essence because it refuses to acknowledge that what the west is now up against is a religious war. From that most profound and seminal error, all follows.

But when you look at Barack Obama, you see another factor at work which is not simply the strategic stupidity that results from an appeasement mentality, nor a myopic view of the national interest, nor the unsurpassed arrogance and ignorance of cultural hubris, all of which drive western foreign policy.

Just look at Obama’s favoured candidates for the two US administration positions central to the defence of the west. They are both people whose attitudes would in fact deeply endanger it still further. John Kerry, tipped to become Secretary of State,  is an anti-war activist and left-wing fantasist who, despite serving as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations committee, is such a man-made global warming fanatic that he believes climate change is

‘as dangerous as any of the sort of real crises that we talk about’

ie, as dangerous as say, Syrian chemical weapons or a nuclear Iran. [this dismissal of global warming constitutes Melanie Phillips' greatest lapse, and the observable lapse, as well, of many who are perfectly sensible about Islam. A curious feature noted here before].

The record of Chuck Hagel, Obama’s favoured candidate for Defence Secretary, is more troubling still, as outlined here. He has consistently downplayed Iran’s terrorist record and the danger it poses to the free world. He consistently voted against sanctions on Iran to stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons capability; he voted against naming Iran’s Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization; and he refused to sign a letter calling on the European Union similarly to name Hezbollah – which has the blood of countless Americans on its hands -- as a terrorist organisation. Instead, he advocates ‘engaging’ with Iran – ie, appeasement, which he prefers to parse as

‘“... a bridge-building process, an opportunity to better understand” others on the basis of “mutual self respect.”’

This is all of a piece with his attitudes towards Israel and the Jews. Not only is he associated with gross anti-Israel canards which reverse truth and lies, but he also said that

'the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people up here...'

‘up here’ meaning Washington.

Whether or not these men are actually appointed is not the issue. The key point is that Obama wants to appoint them, from which we may infer that he believes they will enact his own vision of foreign and defence policy.

What therefore is the factor that Obama brings to the west’s dismal foreign policy table as illustrated by these truly appalling choices? Malice. Against the west, and also against the ancient civilisation that lies at the heart of its moral codes. Factor that into the truly stupendous myopia and worse of Britain and Europe, and you are looking at the emergence of a new world order: the eclipse of the west, brought about by the unholy alliance between the Obama administration and death-wish Britain and Europe – and leaving Israel, once the forward salient of the west in the Middle East, emerging instead as the lonely and isolated defender of liberty in the face of the gathering Islamic storm.

The Latest Update To The U.N. Report On Syria

From The L.A. Times:

Syria conflict turns 'overtly sectarian,' U.N. reports

  • Email

Abdullah Ahmed, 10, who suffered burns in a Syrian government airstrike and fled his home with his family, stands outside their tent at a camp in the village of Atmeh, Syria, on Dec. 11. (Muhammed Muheisen / Associated Press / December 20, 2012)

BEIRUT — The raging conflict in Syria, which began with street protests demanding political reform,  has after almost two years of violence “become overtly sectarian in nature,” a United Nations panel reported Thursday.

The 10-page interim report, issued in Geneva, outlined a dire scenario on the ground in the war-ravaged nation and asserted that ethnic and religious differences are now stoking the escalating violence, drawing in militants and extremists  from throughout the region.

Entire communities are at risk of being forced out of the country, or of being killed inside the country,” reported the U.N.-impaneled Commission of Inquiry on Syria, in its latest update.

The fighting has sliced through Syria’s complex fabric of ethnic and religious groups, shattering the peace between communities that have long lived alongside one another.

The armed rebels seeking to oust the government of President Bashar Assad are mostly [almost entirely] members of the majority Sunni Muslim community.  Assad and much of the nation’s military and political leadership are secular adherents of the minority Alawite sect, an offshoot of Shiite Islam. [no, they are joined not only by other minorities, but also by about half of the Sunni Arabs. An absolute majority of the population in Syria -- between 55 and 65%, supports the government]

The more than 40-year rule of the Assad family has featured tolerance of religious practices but fierce repression of political opposition, be it religious or secular in nature.

Syria also has significant populations of Christians, Kurds, Shiites, Druse, Turkmen and other groups. As the threat has risen, some have formed “popular committees” to protect their districts from rebel incursions, the report noted. Other factions have sought alliances with the Sunni-led rebels. [no "factions" of Christians, Kurds, Shiites, Druse or any of the other ethnic or religiious minorities, save for some of the Turkmen, have "sought aliances with the Sunni-led rebels" -- all of these minorities fear the rebels, both the merely Muslim and the fanatically Muslim who, of course, if there is a rebel victory, will gain more and more power and are unlikely to be stopped by their former Sunni "moderate" allies]

The report describes instances of pro-government forces attacking Sunni civilians, while rebels regularly target Alawites and other minority communities viewed as pro-Assad.

An opposition fighter cited in the report recounted how captured Sunni soldiers faced imprisonment, while Alawite captives were summarily executed. Bombs have exploded near an important Shiite shrine outside Damascus and in Christian and Alawite districts of the capital. Sunni towns and neighborhoods have born the brunt of the relentless government bombardment.

The sectarian struggle has drawn in many foreign fighters, mostly Sunnis from the Arab world and North Africa. There have also been reports of Shiite militiamen from Lebanon and Iraq enlisting on the government side, while Shiite Iran, a major Assad ally, has provided Damascus  with “intellectual and advisory support,” the report said.

The Christian community of the central city of Homs, once 80,000 strong, has been reduced to a few hundred after most fled the embattled city, the report said. In October, arsonists torched the historic St. Kevork Armenian Church in Aleppo on the same day that seven Armenians were among 10 Christians kidnapped on a bus traveling from Beirut to Aleppo. Their fate remains unknown, the report said.

Divided loyalties have marked Syria’s half a million-strong Palestinian community, mostly descendants of those who became refugees when Israel was created in 1948.

The densely populated Damascus suburb of Yarmouk, housing the largest concentration of Palestinians, has become a battleground in recent days. Armed rebels have been battling pro-government militiamen on the streets while the military reportedly responded with airstrikes and artillery. Most of Yarmouk’s more than 150,000 Palestinians are reported to have fled.

In the north, autonomy-minded Kurds have looked warily at the Arab-led insurgency and occasionally clashed with rebel forces.

“This is a war where no military victory is possible,” Paulo Sergio Pinheiro, the Brazilian human rights activist who heads the U.N. commission, told reporters. “With communities believing — not without cause — that they face an existential threat, the need for a negotiated settlement is more urgent than ever.”

On Syria, The Russian Government Talks Sense

Russia blasts West's 'terrorism logic' on Syria

Russian Federation,Politics, Sat, 22 Dec 201

Moscow, Dec 22 (IANS/RIA Novosti) The West's policy of dividing Syrian terrorists into "the bad" and "the not so bad" is dangerous, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"Our colleagues at the UN Security Council refuse to condemn terrorist attacks," he said in an interview with the RT television network.

"They say terrorism is bad but at the same time urge us to take into account the Syrian situation and the reason people are attacking government forces," Lavrov said.

"Our Western colleagues have started dividing terrorists into 'bad' and 'acceptable'. That is very dangerous."

Western countries that want Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to go should tell him in so many words, Lavrov said, adding that some regional players have requested Moscow to ask Assad to leave in exchange for a safe haven.

"My answer is very simple -- Why use us as a postman? If President Assad is interested, then this should be discussed with him directly," Lavrov said.

Syria's opposition coalition has reiterated its condemnation of the Russian government's policy and position on political and military support for the Assad regime but denied it has declared "open season" on Russian nationals.

The conflict between government troops and opposition forces has claimed the lives of over 30,000 people since March 2011, according to UN figures.

"Interrelated, Mutually Informing Modes," "Knowledge Production," "Goal To Challenge Conventional Certainty," "Cross-Disciplinary Scholarship"
About CAST

The MIT Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST) was established in 2012 to facilitate opportunities for exchange and collaboration among artists, engineers, humanists and scientists. A joint initiative of the Office of the Provost, the School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P) and the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS), the Center is committed to fostering a culture where the arts, science and technology thrive as interrelated, mutually informing modes of exploration, knowledge and discovery.

Read more about the Center's leadership and activities:

About the Symposium

Art, science, and technology are ways of knowing and changing the world.  These disciplines frequently draw from each other yet their devoted practitioners rarely have the opportunity for high-level intellectual and cultural exchange. The planned symposium, "Seeing / Sounding / Sensing," will be an intensive three-day event that will invite creative artists to join philosophers, cognitive neuroscientists, anthropologists, historians, and scholars from a range of disciplines in an open-ended discussion about knowledge production. The goal will be to challenge each domain's conventional certainty about "what is known," "how we know it," or "how we can know more," and to stimulate new issues for possible cross-disciplinary scholarship in the future.

Turkish Jews under Surveillance - Erdogan Alleges “Dual Loyalty

Turkey's Chief Rabbi , Istanbul Governor and Jewish Community Leaders

International Holocaust Day, January 2012

Source: Reuters

Turkey’s Jews are threatened with accusations of “dual loyalty”, a classic antisemitic canard.  The Erdogan regime is trying in absentia  Israeli military involved with the Mavi Mamara incident off Gaza.   You may recall the tearful visit of Turkey’s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to a hospital in Gaza City during the rocket attacks against Israel in Operation Pillar of Defense, a demonstration of solidarity with Hamas.  The AKP government of PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan is allied with Muslim Brotherhood leaders in Egypt, Qatar and Hamas in Gaza. Turkey’s support of opposition to Syria’s embattled Bashar al Assad is a reflection of Sunni Supremacist objectives for the region. The rise of Islamic antisemitism by the Erdogan regime could end the centuries old comity with Turkey’s remaining 20,000 Jews.

An A-L Monitor Turkish Pulse article by Tulin Daloglu, notes the angst this surveillance by the Erdogan regime has caused in the Turkish Jewish community, “Turkish Intelligence Targets Jewish Population”:

The deteriorating relationship between Turkey and Israel has generated unprecedented and disquieting accusations against Turkey’s Jews. There is a growing tendency in this country — encouraged by the ruling Islamist government — that demonizes Jews and triggers anti-Semitism, consciously or not.

For example, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan surprisingly raised for the first time — just hours before the cease-fire between Israel and Hamas was announced on Nov. 21 — the question of the "dual loyalty" of Turkish Jews. Then, daily Yeni Safak, a supporter of Erdogan’s government, claimed in a front-page story on Dec.13 under the headline “Murderers amongst us” that there were Turkish-speaking Israeli soldiers who boarded the Mavi Marmara flotilla on May 30, 2010 and killed nine Turks.

When the readers’ comments on the article warned of physical threats to Jewish citizens, Rafael Sadi, the spokesman of the Association of Turkish Jews in Israel, condemned the news report.

“While we do our best to help both sides to correctly understand each other and facilitate their communication, how could this be labeled as an act of treason?” Sadi also mentioned that Avital Leibovich, the spokeswoman of the Israeli army, told him that “no Israeli soldier of Turkish ethnicity took part in the [Mavi Marmara] operation.”

Turkish papers reported that the prosecutor’s office in Istanbul that tried the Israeli soldiers involved in the Mavi Marmara incident asked the Turkish National Intelligence Service (MIT) for a listing of Turkish Jews who traveled to Israel two weeks before and after the Mavi Marmara incident. These were put under surveillance. There are allegations that the MIT identified five Jews in Turkey as suspicious, and that they expanded surveillance in Istanbul and Izmir — where the majority of the country’s Jewish population lives.

[ . . .]

“As a Jew, I can attest to you there is a difference between being a Turk and an Israeli,” Ediz, a Turkish Jew, told Al-Monitor. “But whenever there is fighting between Israel and the Palestinians, the atmosphere in Turkey turns against us, and people start acting as if we committed a crime.” Leri, another Turkish Jew, sounds the same alarm bell. “The media is painting such an image that many won’t even consider us human.”

The Israel Project in a report released today expressed concerns for Turkey’s Jews with this emerging anti-Semitic campaign by the Erdogan regime in Ankara, “Investigation and Monitoring of Jews in Turkey Deepen Persecution Fears”:

Michael Koplow, program director of the Israel Institute and an expert in Turkish and Israeli affairs, described the move as "a not so subtle effort to intimidate Turkish Jews" and criticized the Turkish government for "threatening an entire minority community for nothing more than being Jews." The announcement of the investigations quickly generated anti-Jewish rhetoric and accusations by a Turkish Islamist group which is tied to terrorism and which analysts have linked to Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AKP) party. Huseyin Oruc, Deputy Chairman of the I.H.H. organization that in 2010 dispatched three ships to break Israel's legal blockade of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, declared that "everyone will know who the Turkish Jews are that served in the Israeli army and killed Turkish civilians on the Mavi Marmara."

Turkey’s Jews saw this current round of anti-Semitism penetrate popular culture.  Today’s Zaman reported on the objections raised by the Jewish community:

The commercial, for a men's shampoo called Biomen, shows Hitler delivering an enthusiastic speech, urging male viewers to buy the product which is “a 100 percent male shampoo.” In the ad, Hitler says, “If you are not wearing a woman's dress, you should not use her shampoo either.”

Turkish Jewish community representatives and Turkey's chief rabbi's office on Monday called Hitler “the most striking example of cruelty and savagery” and said using his image in such a commercial was unacceptable. The statement also demanded a public apology from the advertising company “to repair the damage this commercial has caused to society's conscience.”

With these paranoid anti-Semitic accusations by the Erdogan government, the Turkish Jewish community must prepare t to flee for safety in Israel and their Diaspora.

On the Waterfront, and At the Airport; Existing Organised Crime in Australia Has Acquired a Menacing Muslim Dimension

As you will see from the names of some of the Mr Bigs who appear in the course of these two reports on a major investigation recently undertaken by the Australian ABC's '7.30 Report' in conjunction with Fairfax journalists.

It is not the drugs and other sorts of common contraband, nor even the guns, that are getting in (though it is well-known that organisations such as Hezbollah and the Taliban have been financed by every imaginable kind of organised crime, for decades), that worry me the most, but the other kinds of things - and people - that might wafted through into Australia by Muslim organised criminals who, along with those acting in conjunction with them or else at their behest, are now, it seems, massively embedded among our gatekeepers.

'Customs Officers suspected in airport smuggling ring'

'A joint investigation by ABC's 7.30 and Fairfax has revealed that a cell of suspected corrupt Customs officers has allegedly helped smuggle drugs through Australia's biggest airport.

'Up to 15 Customs staff at Sydney Airport are believed to have engaged in serious misconduct or corruption.

'From that group, a core group of up to 10 officials have been involved in drug trafficking and bribery.

'Well-placed sources say the cell has allegedly helped smuggle suitcases and backpacks filled with drugs past screening points, an activity suspected to have occurred every few months for several years.

And where they are letting through suitcases full of drugs, what's to stop them bringing in... or passing out, onto outward-bound aeroplanes, suitcases filled with...bombs? - CM

'The Australian Federal Police is refusing to comment, saying that a media event later today will address the allegations.

'In early March, the New South Wales police drug squad staged a raid at an apartment block in Woolooware in south Sydney.

'Inside one of the apartments they found five kilograms of pseudoephedrine tablets as well as steroids and 14 grams of cocaine.

'The apartment belonged to Colombian-born Sydney man Diego Refojus, a drug trafficker with prior convictions for aggravated burglary.

Colombia-born?  Something to think about: Hezbollah is doing deals with the drug cartels in South America; Hezbollah is based in Lebanon; a large part of Sydney's Mohammedan colony are from Lebanon.  I would advise the AFP, and other investigators, to not rule out the possibility of a Hezbollah connection. - CM

'But 7.30 and Fairfax have revealed the drugs passed through Sydney Airport, allegedly with the help of corrupt Customs officers.

'Neil Fergus, a former top government intelligence official and head of the Sydney Olympics security centre, says Customs officers know the airport's drug detection system back to front.

"If we have corrupt Customs officers, they know how the system're undermining everything that Customs stands for", he said.  "The capacity for a corrupt insider to find ways through the system is actually quite strong and probably always will be.

"So it is of paramount importance that corrupt insiders are detected and dealt with".

And that is also why, I would also argue, that as a measure of simple harm reduction Muslims should not be hired to work anywhere within our ports or airports, period.  Because over and above the usual, simple motives - basic greed - of the common-or-garden non-Muslim criminal, Muslims (including Muslims who may not necessarily have a formal 'criminal record') have a very strong ideological motive to do harm to Infidels whenever and wherever they can get away with it.  The ordinary non-Muslim crook is out to make money and get a 'rush'.  The Muslim is waging war, consciously seeking to weaken and damage the Infidel society within which he is a Fifth Columnist and advance scout of the Ummah.  And in so doing, he may well make use of, and temporarily ally with, the non-Muslim criminal.  We had organised crime aplenty in Australia in the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s; we had Italo-Australian and Anglo-Celt-Australian crime 'families'; but we did not have Muslims in any sort of numbers, until the 1970s. When the Muslims arrived on the scene, and immediately started infiltrating and in some cases taking over the crime families and the outlaw bikie gangs, things got much darker and more dangerous. - CM

'7.30 and Fairfax can reveal that over the past two years, figures in the underworld began to talk of some inside help at Sydney airport.

'One of those availing himself of that help was underworld figure Alex Taouil.

I would like to know whether the 'Alex' should be in quotes, and whether it is his real name or a 'camouflage' anglicisation of something like 'Ali' or 'Iskander'; the surname suggests North Africa, and of late I have seen Muslims in Australia with Anglicised forenames, as 'Mahmoud' becomes 'Mick' and 'Hasan' becomes 'Sam'. - CM

'Taouil's alleged contact inside Customs, Adrian Lamella, this week became the second Customs officer arrested and remanded into custody to face serious corruption charges.

'Lamella has an interesting history for a man whose job involves detecting drug traffickers.

'Publicly available records show that in 2008, NSW police alleged they found Lamella and two other men in a car with five small bags of cocaine, some of which Lamella later admitted to using.

'Two years after that, Lamella was involved in a property deal with a man called Joseph Harb (or should that be 'Yusuf Harb'? - CM), who would later be arrested for drug trafficking.

'Harb and Taouil are not Lamella's only alleged questionable associates, nor is Lamella the only Customs officer with suspected links to the criminal underworld.

'According to intelligence obtained by 7.30 and Fairfax, several policing and anti-corruption agencies suspect that Lamella is part of an allegedly corrupt cell of customs officers at Sydney Airport.

'It is understood that around 12 months ago, the cameras at Sydney Airport were secretly turned on the suspected Customs Officers by Australia's secretive and powerful anti-corruption agency, the Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity.

I hope and pray that this Commission does not include any Muslims within its ranks. - CM

'Soon after, Customs officers' phone conversations were being tapped.

'It was the tapped phone calls that led NSW police to Refojus's apartment in March.

'Refojus is allegedly linked to two members of the corrupt Customs cell, who are believed to have been at his apartment in the hours before the drug squad burst through.

'Until this week, only one Customs officer had been arrested and accused in court of drug trafficking.

'Arrested with him in August was Harb, who is accused of smuggling drugs through Sydney Airport.

'Several other Customs staff remain under investigation but are still working at Sydney Airport or other locations.

'Security concerns at Sydney Airport have persisted for years.

'In 2005 a leaked Customs report revealed organised crime had infiltrated the airport, and the Federal Government ordered an inquiry.

And where some of those organised criminals are Muslims, then we may find ourselves dealing not only with organised crime, but with...Jihad. - CM

'Mr Fergus helped Sir John Wheeler conduct his inquiry, which revealed massive shortcomings and highly dysfunctional relationships between Customs, state and federal police, and private airport security.

"There were weaknesses with the CCTV technologies, the sharing of that, there were issues with intelligence sharing.  There was a whole raft of issues", Mr Fergus said.

'The Howard government moved quickly to reform airport security and policing, but Mr Fergus says the security reforms he called for were never fully realized...

'In late 2007, in a report that was kept secret, a top-ranking Customs official urged a doubling in the numbers of anti-corruption staff and warned the agency was terribly exposed without major reforms.

'Among the reforms called for were "drug and alcohol testing" of Customs officers, and "mandatory reporting of fraud, corruption, and serious misconduct".

'But those calls would go mostly unheeded (why? on whose orders, precisely? - CM) for the next five years, leaving Customs without vital anti-corruption safeguards, a fact that shocks Mr Fergus.

"I didn't realize that was the situation.  An agency like Customs must have proper background screening, must have internal affairs, must have alcohol and drug testing", he said.

And, I would add, they shouldn't hire Muslims at all, no matter how apparently squeaky-clean the criminal record and the blood test results for any smiling, clean-shaven, neatly-besuited Muslim applicant for a position in Customs...- CM

"It almost defies belief that those things are only being addressed now".

'In March 2009, the still unplugged gaps in airport security were dramatically illustrated with the fatal bashing of a Hells Angels bikie associate at the Qantas domestic check-in terminal.

It should be noted, by the by, that the man who was bashed to death was of Greco-Australian extraction, nominally of Orthodox faith; all but one of the men who attacked him and killed him in front of a large crowd of horrified bystanders were Muslims who had joined and essentially taken over a rival gang. - CM

'Airport security failed to stop the attack, and the CCTV cameras failed to capture vision that could be used effectively in court.

Who, precisely, was 'on shift' in airport security in that part of the airport, that day?  And who, precisely, had access to or control of those cameras, either at the time of the attack, or afterward? - CM

'Clive Small, a former detective and Assistant Commissioner of the NSW Police, says that was a let-down to investigators.

"Given the seriousness of the problem of drugs being smuggled through the airport, I would have thought the cameras would have worked", he said.

Yes.  So why did they not work?  Had someone with prior knowledge of the planned attack turned them off or away from the planned location of the attack; or else did someone get at those cameras after the attack, to remove  incriminating footage? - CM

'In 2009, the AFP's new airport policing squad zeroed in on Wayne Cleveland, a member of the infamous surf gang the Bra Boys.

'Police believed Cleveland's drug syndicate had been for more than a decade using corrupt plane cleaners and caterers at Sydney Airport to smuggle cocaine.

'In August 2009, Cleveland was filmed meeting one of his corrupt airline catering and cleaning contacts to organise another importation.

'Cleveland was arrested and later convicted along with two corrupt airline cleaners who both had been granted Federal Government Aviation Security identity cards, even though they had prior criminal convictions.

'Last year, Steven Hutchins led a federal parliamentary committee that toured major airports, examining gaps in border security.

"If you work at the airport, you know exactly where the black spots are.  You know where to smuggle gear in and where to get it out as well", he said.

And that is why Muslims should not be hired as cleaners, as caterers, as baggage handlers, as Customers officers, as security guards, or as anything else at all within our ports and airports. For in their case, it is not just about the possibility of their being part of a crime gang and letting drugs through (which is also done by many a non-Muslim corrupt employee); a cleaner or caterer who is a Muslim (and who may even have, up to the day they Go Jihad, possess a squeaky-clean criminal record) may one day assist a jihad plotter to place a bomb, or plant a weapon or poisons on board a plane for someone else to pick up and use. - CM

'Law enforcement officials told Mr Hutchins that dozens, or even hundreds, of airport and waterfront staff had links to organised crime.

"For some time the ACC and the AFP have been highlighting the amount of infiltration in some areas of the port and airport", Mr Hutchins said.

"They's about 3 percent that may be involved in serious and organised crime".

Question: what proportion of that suspect 3 percent are recognisably Muslims?  And then: what percentage of the other 97 percent - those who have no obvious criminal involvement as such - are Muslims, and ought therefore - because of the Jihad doctrine of Islam - also to be regarded warily? - CM

'Mr Hutchins was warned privately by police of the challenges they faced, including a rise in cocaine smuggling through Australia's airports.

'So his committee recommended new and sweeping overhauls of airport security.

"When Qantas started a direct flight from Buenos Aires, police thought it would be a significant encouragement to criminals to bring in cocaine on direct flights from South America, which inevitably that has occurred", he said.

'Incredibly, it is only now that Customs is starting to implement common anti-corruption measures, such as drug testing and the mandatory reporting of corruption.

'Unsurprisingly, the recent scandal is sparking calls for a full inquiry.

"I would call for a royal commission", Mr Hutchins said.  "We are not talking about small goods being knocked off any more, we are talking about the importation of drugs"...

And continuing the account of the potentially-lethal meeting and melding of criminal Muslims with ordinary Infidel criminality:

'Customs corruption extends to waterfront'.

'Corruption within the Customs service extends to Australia's waterfront, where underworld figures are using corrupt dock workers to import drugs and possibly even guns.

And where, since there are Muslims included in this highly unpleasant milieu,  jihadis sooner or later are likely to use their associates or catspaws to bring in, or to detonate, bombs. - CM

'On Thursday, a 7.30 and Fairfax investigation revealed that a cell of suspected corrupt Customs officers allegedly helped smuggle drugs through Sydney Airport.

'It has since been announced that eight people have been charged in connection to the alleged drug ring.

'And it can be revealed that it seems corruption has also reached Port Botany, where authorities have identified at least a dozen Customs staff involved in suspected corruption or serious misconduct.

'It is feared this activity is not only allowing drugs and illegal tobacco past the border, but guns as well.

'New South Wales police are searching for illegal pistols, some of which may be behind some of Sydney's recent shootings.

'Some of the pistols are suspected to have been smuggled in shipping containers which Customs officers claimed they had X-rayed when they had not.

'Sources say Customs paperwork has been fraudulently filled out, giving the all clear to containers that may have been filled with illegal handguns.

'But insiders say security breaches on the waterfront highlight how vulnerable the system is and different authorities are grappling with the best way to confront it.

'Smuggling Syndicate

'One of those arrested over alleged drug importation involving corrupt dock workers is crime boss Mohammed Jomaa.

That is, "Muslim crime boss Mohammed Jomaa".  These days, so many of these sorts of outfits seem to have a Mohammed involved in them somewhere...- CM

'Just after midnight on September 22, 2010, Jomaa and another man collected a sports bag filled with 50 kilograms of cocaine from a car outside a house in southern Sydney.

'The pair moved the bag into their own car, not knowing they were being watched.  A few minutes later, Federal Police moved in.

'Jomaa is tied to a smuggling syndicate with tentacles reaching not only Port Botany but, most disturbingly, inside Customs, where police suspect his syndicate has two officers on its payroll.

'Clive Small, a former detective and Assistant Commissioner of the NSW Police, says Jomaa has a well-established reputation and has been operating for a long time.

And does he have Australian citizenship and when and where and how did he acquire it? Before, or after, he became a known criminal Mr Big?  - CM

"He also has those close-knit connections, the middlemen at the wharves and Customs and in other places", he said.

'Jomaa called on outlaw bikie Brian Blackman and a corrupt maritime industry worker to help to smuggle the 50 kilograms from a  container sitting in a supposedly secure storage yard.

'Jomaaa and Blackman have both been convicted of drug trafficking, but many of the corrupt players in the Jomaa network still remain a threat to Australia's border security.

'It is a common story.  Police sources and leaked reports say the docks and the airports are hosting many corrupt insiders, including government officials.

'Waterfront corruption is not a new phenomenon - as former Melbourne detective Brian Murphy knows well.

'Mr Murphy, an infamous hard man of the Victorian Police Force, helped expose the notoriously corrupt Painters and Dockers Union in the 1970s.

'Many of the union's extortion, bookmaking and theft rackets were run out of Mr Murphy's local patch of South and Port Melbourne.

"The tougher you were, the more prior convictions you had for assaults or murder, the more chance you had of getting picked up for a job, and most of the men with violent pasts got picked up as painters and dockers", he said.

And now we have been adding Muslims - raised within a cult that explicitly prescribes and condones violence against and robbery of the Infidel, the Designated Prey - to that already unpleasant mixture...- CM

'In the 1980s, Mr Murphy's investigations helped trigger the Costigan Royal Commission, which exposed much of the murder and corruption on Melbourne's waterfront.

'But as the headlines died down, many of the younger painters and dockers and their proteges turned to a new way of making money.

"They've already been credited with violence in the painters and dockers when they were young, and they had that name, and they've gone from there into the drug scene", he said.

And I would very much like to know how much prison da'wa, and da'wa of other kinds, has been targeting these sorts of people...- CM

'In 2004, fellow Victorian-based policeman and AFP officer Ross Fusca launched a new task-force to take on corruption on the docks.

"The intelligence indicated that there were a number of people that worked on the waterfront that could assist criminal groups remove shipping containers holding drugs", he said.

And it isn't only the bringing in of drugs we should be worrying about, in this age of Global Jihad. - CM

'His taskforce pulled off several major drug busts...

'But in 2005, when Mr Fusca called for his joint-agency waterfront task-force to keep on running, his request was denied because it would cost too much.

Penny-wise, pound foolish. - CM

'While police were winding down, one of Australia's most prolific drug importers, Hakan "Big Hux" Ayik (who is of Turkish Muslim extraction - CM), was gearing up and finding ways to corrupt waterfront workers.

'By 2008, Ayik had an impressive smuggling network, including a work-out junkie and influential Port Botany stevedore who, for legal reasons, will be referred to as Mr X.

'Police observed Mr X driving a Porsche, making huge cash withdrawals, and mixing with the who's who of the criminal underworld.

'At the same time he was using his Federal Government-issued Maritime Security Identity Pass to access restricted areas at Port Botany.

'Mr Fusca says Mr X was leading an extravagant lifestyle for a dock worker.  "We were aware of dock workers living beyond their means, and clearly Mr X was", he said...

'In fact, as far back as 2004, NSW authorities had intelligence that Mr X was "involved in drug supply", and that "Mr X or his contacts in the ports may be facilitating importations".  But he was not investigated.

'Mr Fusca says the fact Mr X was given such access highlights the vulnerability of the system.

'By late 2009, fresh police intelligence warned that Ayik was working with Mr X and that the dock worker "may be facilitating importations on behalf of Ayik."

'Ayik was targeted for investigation, but yet again, Mr Ayik was not.  He was free to keep aiding drug importers.  It was only this year that Mr X was finally arrested.

'As concern about waterfront corruption grew, the NSW Police Force and the AFP launched a new task-force, code-named Polaris.

'In September 2010 it swooped on Jomaa and Blackman.

'A year later, Polaris moved on another crime syndicate with suspected links to its own corrupt Customs officials.

'Almost everywhere Polaris turned it found corruption, as this secret 2012 report reveals:

"Polaris investigations have identified employees of law enforcement and regulatory bodies providing assistance to criminal groups.

"The employees have included members of customs and employees of AQIS [Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service]".

'While much of the focus has been on Port Botany, police are still working out how bad things are across the rest of the nation.

'Law enforcement officers like Mr Fusca say corruption on the docks needs to be exposed.

"If there is an issue with law enforcement at points of entry into this country that are allowing criminals to become stronger and more powerful, the Australian Government has got no option but to throw a commission of inquiry or royal commission behind it and get to the bottom of it", he said.

And to repeat: now that we have Muslims infiltrating the outlaw bikie gangs (and in some cases taking them over), and Muslims engaging in organised crime (on such a scale as to have led to the creation of a special arm of the police, 'The Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad', to deal with them specifically), this rampant corruption of our gatekeepers -  and we already see the Muslim likes of Mr Ayik and Mr Jomaa and 'Joseph' (Yusuf?) Harb making use of the corrupted - may enable not only the drug and gun smuggling that is already going on but, in future, violent mass-murderous attacks by the jihad-minded. - CM
