Labour let in migrants 'to engineer multicultural UK'

Huge increases in immigration over the past decade were a deliberate attempt to engineer a more multicultural Britain, a former Government adviser said yesterday.
Andrew Neather, a speechwriter who worked in Downing Street for Tony Blair and in the Home Office for Jack Straw and David Blunkett, said Labour's relaxation of controls was a plan to 'open up the UK to mass migration'.
As well as bringing in hundreds of thousands to plug labour market gaps, there was also a 'driving political purpose' behind immigration policy, he claimed
Ministers hoped to change the country radically and 'rub the Right's nose in diversity'. But Mr Neather said senior Labour figures were reluctant to discuss the policy, fearing it would alienate its 'core working-class vote'.
On Question Time, Mr Straw was repeatedly quizzed about whether Labour's immigration policies had left the door open for the BNP
'Earlier drafts I saw also included a driving political purpose: that mass immigration was the way that the Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural.
'I remember coming away from some discussions with the clear sense that the policy was intended - even if this wasn't its main purpose - to rub the Right's nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date.' The 'deliberate policy', from late 2000 until 'at least February last year', when the new points-based system was introduced, was to open up the UK to mass migration, he said.
Mr Neather defended the policy, saying mass immigration has 'enriched' Britain and made London a more attractive and cosmopolitan place.  No it hasn't, other than for the likes of him who now gets an immigrant cleaner and nanny at a cut price rate.
Sir Andrew Green, chairman of the Migrationwatch think tank, said: 'Now at least the truth is out, and it's dynamite. Many have long suspected that mass immigration under Labour was not just a cock-up but a conspiracy. They were right.
'This Government has admitted three million immigrants for cynical political reasons concealed by dodgy economic camouflage.'
The chairmen of the cross-party Group for Balanced Migration, MPs Frank Field and Nicholas Soames, said: 'We welcome this statement which the whole country knows to be true.
'It is the first beam of truth that has officially been shone on the immigration issue in Britain.'

Obama Offers Millions in Muslim Technology Fund

The White House Friday highlighted a new multi-million-dollar technology fund for Muslim nations, following a pledge made by President Barack Obama in his landmark speech to the Islamic world.

The White House said the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) had issued a call for proposals for the fund, which will provide financing of between 25 and 150 million dollars for selected projects and funds.

The Global Technology and Innovation Fund will "catalyze and facilitate private sector investments" throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa, the White House said in a statement.

Eligible projects would advance economic opportunity and create jobs in areas like technology, education, telecoms, media, business services and clean technology, the White House said.

OPIC said sample projects could help foster the development of new computer technology or telecommunications businesses, or widen access to broadband Internet services.

Proposals must be submitted by the end of November, and managers of funds that make a final short list will make presentations in Washington in January.

Final selections will be announced next June.

In his speech to the Muslim world in Cairo last June, Obama argued that "education and innovation will be the currency of the 21st century" and that under-investment was rife in many Muslim nations.

As well as the fund, Obama also said he will host a summit on entrepreneurship this year to deepen ties between business leaders in the United States and Muslim communities around the world.

The West has transferred an estimated 12 trillion dollars to the Muslim world in oil revenues alone since 1973, not to mention the millions in development aid given to the "Palestinians" and the millions given to Egypt as a bribe for signing a peace treaty with Israel - a bribe once begun evidently cannot be ended. Not to mention the billions given to Pakistan to bribe it into cooperation in the "war on terror."

Yes indeed,  the answer to Muslim aggression here there and everywhere is to pay and keep paying and never stop paying the jizyah disguised as community development funds or welfare relief payments. Everyone knows the lack of hope is what causes Muslim unrest and those pesky human-caused disasters. Money changes everything...(doesn't it?)

Rich Richard Richard

Antisemites love a Jewish champion, so Richard Goldstone is a godsend. But what's in it for him? Well, the human rights business is a nice little earner. Douglas Davis in The Spectator:

The United Nations Human Rights Council, which had remained steadfastly silent about the human rights of Israelis suffering rocket attacks, quickly swung into action. It strongly condemned Israel’s Operation Cast Lead, which it said ‘resulted in massive violations of human rights of the Palestinian people and systematic destruction of the Palestinian infrastructure’. Then it set up a commission to confirm its opinion.

Step forward Richard Goldstone, ‘a Jew who has supported Israel and its people all my life’, to head the commission. Last week, the Human Rights Council graciously accepted his findings that Israel committed war crimes and may have committed crimes against humanity. And, hey presto, the job was done.

Richard Goldstone will now be lionised from Pyongyang to Ouagadougou, and all points in between where the oppressed find succour. Streets will be named after him, university chairs will be endowed in his honour and state medals will be struck for this great class-struggler. But to senior legal colleagues in South Africa, he will always be Richard Richard Goldstone.

Richard Richard?

‘Oh yes,’ says a former senior colleague who was close to Goldstone for many years. ‘We believed he saw himself as a future secretary-general of the United Nations. At the time Boutros Boutros-Ghali held the post, so it seemed a logical progression for Goldstone to become Richard Richard.’

It might appear unkind to doubt the purity of Goldstone’s motives in joining the human rights industry, poignantly as Israel’s excoriator-in-chief. But he is, it seems, regarded by colleagues who knew him well as an opportunist.

Perhaps most distressing for Goldstone is not the ridicule he has attracted for accepting the mission, but the painful personal dimension of his actions. Just as he cut himself adrift from the apartheid regime when he considered it prudent, he seems to have cut himself off from his Jewish and Zionist roots in accepting the Gaza commission.

As Goldstone’s former colleague told me last weekend: ‘Richard has always exercised an exquisite sense of judgment — he has always known precisely what was in his own self-interest.’

Do read it all, as it is difficult to know which parts of this eloquent and tightly written article to select.

"Richard Richard" brings to mind Richard Rich, as portrayed (perhaps unfairly) in Robert Bolt's A Man for All Seasons. This Richard Rich perjures himself by swearing that Thomas More has conspired against the King, and is rewarded by being appointed Attorney General of Wales. More observes bitterly:

"For Wales? Why, Richard, it profits a man nothing to give his soul for the whole world ...But for Wales!"

The United Nations wasn't around then.

A Griffin doesn't change its spots

Of course, as a democratically elected MEP, Nick Griffin should speak on Question Time and other programmes. And of course he is not a threat in the way that Islam is a threat. But nor is the holocaust denier some kind of martyr to free speech. Here he is sharing a platform with David Duke, former Ku Klux Klan leader. Notice how he advocates a form of taqiyya:
