Textbooks In A Different Voice

Those mullahs must be making Carol Gilligan very happy. Two versions of apprehending reality, two "languages" or gender-linked "dialects," and of course, two different pronouns to be used in every example: a "he" for Him and a "she" for Her.
Now if only her colleague at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Howard Gardner, can have his psychological needs met in a similar fashion, by some kind of U.N. resolution, passed by one and all, in which the assembled representatives of that "International Community" solemnly agree that there really is no such thing as "I.Q." and, at most, there are only "multiple intelligences" no one of which is any more important than another, and no one should ever feel bad or embarrassed, and All Shall Have Prizes. And no one -- child or adult -- will ever be Left Behind.
