For over a year, we have been waging a relentless, nearly solitary battle in apprising the Congress and the American public about a billion dollar boondoggle and scandal: the lack of credible Arabic translators for our national security and intelligence agencies. As a result hundreds have been killed in Iraq from infiltration of our military and civilian intelligence agencies by agents of Islamist terrorists. Our FBI and CIA have been infiltrated by Muslim linguists who have successfully evaded polygraph tests and been able to pass on vital information to terror groups in the Middle East such as Hezbollah. Tens of thousands of documents, containing vital information on potential threats have gone untranslated in large measure because of bias in hiring practices against qualified Arabic, Farsi and Urdu speaking Christians, Jews and apostate Muslims. The result has been “chaos” according to a knowledgeable counter terrorism source. The problem is one of political correctness. Our government has been gulled by the argument that only Muslims can translate accurately their “holy language.”  This is pure taqiyyah or religious dissimulation sanctioned by Islam.  more...

A new, because literal, meaning can now be given to the old phrase "traduttore -- traditore."

This is typical of America's national aversion to foreign language study, as well as our real cultural blindness, all at a time when we are encouraged to be "multicultural."  The situation is doubtlessly similar vis-a-vis China.  It is worth pointing out that, in the days when Britannia ruled the waves, it had a supply of loyal subjects who knew the languages of the empire's trouble spots and were intimate with their cultures.  I would recommend our leaders read _Gentlemen Spies_, a history of Arab-speaking British agents in the same region as Iraq a century ago.

the 2nd thing now about being muslim in the state ..the hardest thing ever in life is to be muslim in the state and its way hard to get a job also .

talking about you are not muslim and that why you cant get a job at the FBI !!! are you qualified for this job ,ask your self this Q, plus the FBI been so nice to you and rejected you the nice way ..

you should be happy that they didnt tell you that you can get this job ..

even thu you were in iraq , go back and ask your POC what he wrote about you,,if you think that you were so funny back in iraq that doesnt mean that you are trusted .

the falling for the US troops in Iraq is the bad commanders and god know how they become commanders..

I worked for Canadian Intelligence Agency years ago. I am a Baha'i. The 3 other people at the Iran Desk were Muslim. Though all 3 pretended to be not "practicing Muslims" but all 3 had brought their prejudices and hatred for theBaha'is, Americans and Jews with them from the old counrty.

One year of trying to return their unfriendly, unkind treatment and backbitings with forgiveness did not work. They had claimed that I was trying to convert them to my religion.

Unfortunately it seemed to me that there was not enough "Intelligence" or even common sense there to see some questionable background of these people,in that Agency.

All 3 Persians bragged about their previous "anti Government" sentimate and yet "people in charge" would not put 2 an 2 together to see that if these people were against the previous government(monarchy) and also had such hatred for Baha'is or Jews, then may be they are sympathizers of the present regime(Islamic regime).

Well, now for past 12 yrs I have lived in the US. Before moving to the US I had applied to the FBI. I have never succeeded even to get an interview. They need my specialty. I am even ready to help any anti terrorism establishment even for FREE.

I can say with certainty that my qualifications put me is in the top 1 percent, if compared to other translators/interpretors and intelligence officers, yet it seems that those to make decisions are under the influence of those who do not like non-Muslim.

Unfortunately I do not find any other explanation for such lack of interest in my application to all governmental agencies when they need people with Farsi and Dari ability.
