I glad someone has finally pointed out that America was a very different place during the previous great immigration. and look forward to reading the book.  For all the heat and light generated by the subject, I find it peculiar that no one seemed to have noticed that Mexico is a huge importer of oil to the US, eclipsing Saudi Arabia in some years (currently Mexico is #3, the Saudis #2). This fact alone helps explain our government's apparent unwillingness to deal with the issues in any rational way. Several typos and instances of faulty syntax for an article in a journal with such a title.  Nevertheless, Bynum's review does get at a number of key points.  One subject it does not address is why we haven't built a fence along our southern border.

I saw a few comma issues, and  a completely missing word down towards the bottom. Perhaps it was a verb.

your article is extremely hard to read from an information point of view because of the undertone of racism present within the article.  We understand that immigration is a problem but by making such radical and completely false claims(re:Muslims) you have completely lost any credibility.

your article was offensive to read and i'm not just saying that because of your opposition to immigration (so i'm not saying you're a racist and a xenophobe because of your opinion on the matter)

I found this article extremely selfish. The part about how rligious people are bringing in refugees who only "waste tax payers money" I have never herd anything more self centered. I also found it very racist. Not about the Mexican issue as much but the comment at the end about "European Countries should have learned about Islam before they let the in" That is extremely offensive and Im not even muslim. Not all muslims are terrorists. Did I mention all the errors? I am in highschool student and I picked out more than 5. I came across this because I was researching immigration for English. I will not be using any infromation from this "source"
