This weekend our small English village held our public Christmas party in our village Hall. It’s a simple event: everyone brings some comestible item, sweet or savoury, and some alcoholic, or otherwise, beverage and we all meet and greet together and review the year just passed and gossip like crazy. Various people of various musical persuasions provide ‘sounds’ and some dancing and singing took place. Carols, naturally, were sung and various blessings by various leaders of various Christian denominations were uttered. There was good cheer and a general spirit of bonhomie was evinced by all.
Our Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, Atheist and Buddhist neighbours always attend, and attended this year, this event and they added their mite to the festivities in a spirit, I have no doubt, of love and tolerance; but our three Muslim families were conspicuous by their absence – as usual. The party passed off in great peace and with much fun and laughter and round about eleven o’clock this night most of us set out on our way home and left the younger members of our little community to the tender mercies of our local, talented, DJ, who always gives his services free to this party even though he could, at this time of year, make much money elsewhere on this night.
Now, I am mainly wheelchair bound with limited independent mobility, arthritis and late onset MS have taken their toll on my physical abilities, and I have just enough capability to walk my dogs slowly and with care last thing at night and not to be too much of a burden on my friends, and I rely upon my partner, R-------, and my many strong friends, to help me to enjoy the sights and sounds of our world, so I asked, on this goodnight, if they would kindly walk me past our village green and its illuminated Christmas Tree, provided by our local Council, as we made our way to our homes. This they willingly agreed to do for it was not too far out of their way.
So, we walked, in my case wheeled, our way to the green. And there lay the ruins of our Christmas Tree. Some idiot, some stupid person, has hauled it out of its customary anchorage, laying it on its side, and despoiling the evergreen memory of our Saviour’s birth and defiling His memory by the re-arranging the electric lights in a crescent on the ground on the south-eastern side of the site. None of us have any doubt whatsoever as to who did this. The layout of the light bulbs gives the game away, doesn’t it? We thought that we had put them in their place earlier this year, that we had solved the problem, but it seems that we haven’t.
No matter what you might read in the press, no matter what you might be asked to believe about the spineless indifference of we native British people, it simply isn’t true. All I saw as we gathered around the wreckage of our Christmas tree, and re-erected it in all its glory, was a superb anger and a deep hatred for those who had done this – and we all know exactly who has done this – and, despite Our Lord’s Commandments, we all have a huge problem with forgiveness about this incident. I’ll speak, here and now, for my own soul: I do not forgive and I will not forgive, this action.
I will not forgive Satan’s labourers – those damned Muslims who attempt to destroy every emblem of my faith and every moment of love and free life! Why should I? Damn them, I call down the Great Curse upon them and all their works this Christmastide. May the Devil take them for ruining the Hanukah and the Christmas lights for me in this festive season.
And if that seems too personal, well – no, I don’t apologise and I won’t apologise: I loathe their primitive belief, I loathe their actions in attempting to further their Satanic beliefs by violence and by terror, and I loathe their duplicitous actions against we Christians. Frankly, to be blunt about it, I loathe Islam and all that it stands for and all that it represents and this Christmastide I am in no mood to forgive those Muslims who feel that they can, with impunity, challenge and attack God in the name of their Satanic belief as they did in my small village last e’en. If that seems to you to be harsh then I’m sorry that you feel that way, but it’s what I believe!
For me it ends here! No more forgiveness, no more attempting to understand, no more saying that different faiths collide and have to learn to live together. All that is over! Those damned Muslims attacked God as I, and countless others, see Him, and my central celebration of my God, and now they have made, earned, an implacable enemy – me!
And tens of millions of ‘me’.
Merry Christmas.

I would have thought an incident like this would have been reported nationally, if not locally. But 'googling' under various terms draws a blank.
Could the author provide a source for this story please or ink to an article, and the name of the village.

An English correspondent sent above article to me with a note:
"This piece expresses the impotent rage that many in the UK feel. The problem is that nobody seems to know what to do about it. The English are a tolerant lot but tolerance has become passive Eloism. A close friend of mine swears that the English are a warrior people and will eventually rebel, but I am more skeptical. Two generations of brainwashing, and a lack of stomach for the difficult task of holding up civilized values have had their disastrous effect. Still, there have been few practical suggestions as to how to organise, and what to do. Most middle class people would not touch the BNP with a barge pole, and many fear for their jobs and livelihoods. Any realistic suggestions as to how to mobilise those 'Tens and millions of me?' that Joyce speaks about?"
Here is my reply.
You write:
"The problem is that nobody seems to know what to do about it."
You know what I'm going to say. Muslims don't belong in the UK. Therefore only a radically different political stand can have any effect. All Muslim immigration must stop, and Muslims already in the UK should be encouraged or forced to leave. There is, quite literally, no other solution. Name less radical steps that would solve the problem. The Muslims themselves are the problem. Take this incident, assuming it's true. (Since there is no local newspaper story linked, and since the writer is overly emotional, I'm not going to swear that her story is true, but we'll assume for the sake of discussion that it's true.) Were the local Muslims who committed this act of religious vandalism "jihadists"? Did they have "radical ties"? Probably not. Probably they were simply Muslims. So what can you do about an entire population that is hostile to your society, and which is steadily spreading through your country and gaining power, following their religion which tells them to do precisely that? There are too many of them to police. You can't have permanent surveillance on 1.6 million people and who knows how many hundreds or thousands of mosques. The only solution is to stop Muslims from entering into Britain and to start making them leave.
I understand how way-out this sounds, it's not going to happen immediately, and it seems impossible. But given that it's the ONLY solution to the problem, why waste your time arguing for solutions that are not solutions?
Once people understand, and are willing to state out loud, that Islam itself is a threat to Britain, then they can begin to call for action. They don't have to put "remove Muslims" up front. It's enough to call for stopping Muslim immigration, closing all pro-jihadist, pro-sharia mosques, making any support for jihad and sharia grounds for deportation. That already is very radical compared to what Britain has now.
How to do this? Enough people must agree on it to form local organizations that will take whatever steps may seem helpful on the local level. The goal is to put it into local and mainstream discussion the idea that Muslims do not belong in Britain. Ultimately there needs to be a political party. Since so many people can't stand the BNP, they will have to form their own party.
Even though the chances are not good of such a movement getting anywhere in the foreseeable future, it has to start somewhere. The first step for each individual to state to himself what the problem is, and then say the same to others. Without the clarity of understanding that Islam is a threat to Britain, that Muslims don't belong in Britain, and therefore that their numbers and power in Britain must be reduced, all your concerns will end up just being whining complaints, like this woman indulging herself in her hatred of Muslims, "I hate Muslims, I hate Muslims, I hate Muslims." I'm not interested in hating Muslims. I don't hate Muslims. I recognize that Muslims are Muslims and that as long as they remain Muslims they can't help being the way they are. And therefore they must leave. What must end is this divided mental state in Western people of agonizing and warning about the Muslim menace, while refusing to propose that anything be done about it.
Even if just a few of those "tens and millions of me" see this and begin to speak out about it, that will be enough to start. They won't be impotent complainers any more. They will be individuals who grasp the problem and have a solution. That will change them, and change their relationship to their society.

No, it would not have been reported unless someone chose to report it. And since this is the story in one small village, and since there are so many other stories, none of them inspiring, of the encounter between Islam, or its representatives, and not the West, but All the Rest, where would one end, with the telling of such tales, for there must be so many. Or put another way, where would one begin?
The story stands, and is, of its kind, perfect. And it's a Christmas story. Nota Fable For Our Time, but something truer, sadder, grimmer, and because of what the teller chooses to do with it, and how he responds, inthe end evenbracing.

This is an appalling - but unsurprising - story.
I concur with the conclusions in the comment given by Mr Auster: that Muslims should, ultimately, not be permitted to remain in the UK (or any other kafir land) because of 1001 incidents like this one...and other incidents, infinitely worse.
The citizens of the village should start where they are. Hold a council of war and make a plan. Try to work out how to persuade other villages to join with you. Your immediate aim is to present an immovable obstacle to *any* and *all* demands that may be made by the Muslims you already have in the village, to discourage any more Muslim invaders from settling, and to punish, to the full extent of the law, any and all Muslim breaches of the peace.
In the meantime, work on building morale and conduct some psy warfare. The Muslims have pushed: push back, hard.
Do you normally go wassailing and carolling around the villlage? Do so - loudly - and make sure that those non-Muslims who inhabit the street or streets also inhabited by your 'three Muslim families', are duly carolled, at top volume. Take dogs along with the carolling party.
There is a harmless chemical substance - a nitrate compound, I think - that is invisible if spread on a surface such as wood or metal but, if touched, leaves a black indelible stain on human skin. My husband, while in college, witnessed an incident where the money from the student kitty was being regularly stolen. The student council eventually coated the money in the tin with this interesting substance and left it temptingly unguarded. The thief - who turned out to be one of the cleaning staff - was soon detected due to the black on their fingers (which cannot be mistaken for any other stain, and which cannot be removed by washing - it remains until it wears off).
Obtain some of this and boobytrap the restored tree; then wait, and perhaps you will find out which of your three Muslim families has been up to no good. Creative minds should be able to think of other ways in which Muslim vandals bent on desecration might be given a salutary startlement. Psy-ops. You should remember they dislike black dogs, thinking them the embodiment of Satan.
You know what sorts of things Muslims like to attack, damage and destroy. Use such things, conspicuously displayed, as 'boobytraps'..set up so that when the thugs take the bait, their photos will be snapped, and the police will be able to catch and punish them. Does the village have a Catholic church with a 'Mary' grotto in the garden? A war memorial with a cross and/or statue? Keep an eye on these. They will be targets, just like your Christmas tree was.
Does your village church have a ring of bells, Mr Joyce? If so - do you have a team of change ringers? If you don't, perhaps it is time to form one, and then ring those bells on every imaginable occasion. In Muslim lands the dhimmi Christians were not permitted to have bells, and bell-ringing was strictly prohibited, as were religious processions and the recitation of Torah and Gospels in public in the hearing or sight of Muslims. So if you ring your bells regularly, you are saying: 'No Dhimmis here!!'
I suggest also that the Anglicans and Catholics pull out all the stops on public religious processions. Start planning Shrove Tuesday events and the Easter Parade and the Queen of the May, as soon as Christmas is over. Dust off one of those old Mummers' plays that involve St George, and a crusader-style battle with an evil Moor...Of course, all of this is simply traditional fun, and would be fun to do if there were no Muslims around at all.
To further get up the noses of the Muslims, who I assure you are viciously antisemitic: let every non-Muslim house in the village, in addition to their Christmas lights, ALSO prominently display Hanukkah lamps and an Israeli flag or Star of David, from 22 - 29 December. (Your Hindu and Buddhist neighbours should be encouraged to 'go public' with their observances on appropriate occasions, too; Hindus and Buddhists have suffered the second greatest historic death toll in Jihad, after black Africans).
Come spring: Beat the Bounds. Every non-Muslim in the village and parish, not just the Christians, can participate in this ancient practice which is civic/ civil as well as religious.
Good luck and God bless your village and may your Muslims either leave...or convert to Christianity! (Get the Mothers Union praying for the Muslims' conversion).

How come Lawrence Auster's "English correspondent" uses American spelling? And why does Lawrence think John Joyce is a woman?
Curiouser and curiouser ... I like the idea of wassailling their Islamic arses off:
A-wassailling o'er the heather we gang A-wassail A-wassailling o'er the heather we gang...

The villagers should club together to buy a house for the successors of Menachem Mendel Scheerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe as the English headquarters, they work wondrous kishuf (magick) ; erect a shrine on the village green to Santiago Matamoros and celebrate his feast day with great pagaentry; observe all the Feasts and Festivals of the Church - especially the Marian ones - commission a beautiful statue of Our Lady Of Walsingham, who was given England as her dowry - and process with it round the bounds and outside every house - from the manor to the meanest cott, even unto the domiciles of the mahometans; asperge with holy water all who come to gaze (not the Jews) - and besprinkle the houses of the musulmans with that same holy water if they refuse to come out. Ring out the Angelus every hour - direct the loudspeakers to the houses of them that remain silent about the persecution of the Christian remants in the countries of islamic jurisdictions. ....

especially the Marian ones
I'll drink to that. L'chaim!
Just calling them Mahometans is enough to get their dander up. They don't like it up 'em...

As for the American spelling used by my correspondent whom I identify as English, I think I may have mixed up two different correspondents of mine who have similar names, and mistakenly assumed that this correspondent was English.
As for describing the author of the article as a "woman," I thought that John Rogers was posting an e-mail from an anonymous party, who for some reason I thought was female. My apologies for the (double) error.

Regarding spelling, I notice "civilized" which is American and "mobilise" and "organise" which are British. That's 2-1 in favor of the UK. Are my tired American eyes missing something?
The quotation marks are American but obviously Auster added the outer ones and perhaps changed the inner ones at the same time.
Looking at vocabulary, I don't think I've ever heard an American say "would not touch. . . with a barge pole." In the part of the U.S. where I live, the expression is "wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole."
"Tolerant lot" would sound odd on American lips. The word "lot" is seldom used that way over here except in a joking ironic way.
Regarding the substantive point, I think Auster is right. Moslem immigration is changing Western countries in a hugely undesirable way. We should put a stop to it.

Not John Rogers, John Joyce. I evidently have a problem with Mr. Joyces's identity.

Any real attempt to stop muslim immigration will be met with violence from mulims, and possibly their leftist enablers. Any country that would attempt such immigration reform could potentially descend into civil war as well.
The people leading any such initiative would not be able to lead normal lives. They would have to live sort of like Geert Wilders. Under constant security.
Saves yourselves the hassle and just vote BNP.

That is totally disgusting, tension is building in this country. Even the so called middle class will have to wake up one day and make a stand, take heart from this.
Nothing anywhere in the media about this either. If the BNP had been hammered, we would be reported as losing our grip.
The controlled commercial media have deliberately blacked out the surge in BNP votes in Whitehaven and Ibstock, despite the fact that the BNP beat all three of the ‘major’ parties in these two by-elections.
The Whitehaven result, announced on Thursday evening, has only been reported in one local paper and on 24dash.com, which carried this interesting comment: “The last 2008 council by-elections produced a night of high drama with mainstream parties holding off the BNP by knife-edge majorities in two contests…”
This obviously important development has been studiously ignored by all other media outlets, particularly the result in Whitehaven which saw the safest Labour council seat in Cumbria nearly fall to the BNP.
The British National Party took a massive 40.1 percent of the vote in the Kells and Sandwith by-election. Unfortunately for the residents of the ward, it was not quite enough to win outright. Nevertheless, Labour’s massive majority of 1010 was almost completely demolished by Simon Nicholson and his team, leaving Labour with a majority of just 16.

Regarding American spelling, I noticed "civilization" and "skeptical" (British English is "civilisation" and "sceptical", but I agree "barge pole" is English - Americans say "ten foot pole" or some such. What I think happened is that Lawrence's correspondent had his spelling autocorrected. My email at work autocorrects to American English and I have to keep resetting it.
Amidst all the doom and gloom, I heard a good piece on the radio this morning about carol singing in pubs - something that must annoy Muslims for all kinds of reasons - singing, mixed company, alchohol, carols. I think we should do more of this kind of thing - reclaim the public space by building on native British traditions, rather than turning to Fascism, which has no tradition in Britain.
It is interesting and telling that support for the BNP has risen, but bear in mind how anti-American, anti-Israel and plain antisemitic this party is, plus, being whites only, it will alienate Hindus, Sikhs and black Christians, some of our best allies against Islam.

This incidence is not in the least surprising. Muslims are well known to go out of their way to disturb the religious festivals of others. In Egypt for instance, Muslims will go out and throw stones or riot against Christians while they are at church. In India, Muslims will do the same against Hindus on Diwali and other festivals. More seriously, bombs back up riots, such as in New Delhi. There is method in this Muslim madness, for they wish to show their contempt for all non-Islamic religions and its holy days, or in their view, to show us

The last sentence in my previous post should have read "There is method in this Muslim madness, for they wish to show their contempt for all non-Islamic religions, or in their view, to show us the error of our ways".
Another instance comes to my mind. Our church, like many in England, has a billboard display of a "thought for the week". What came to my notice was, that if the display contained any reference to Jesus, it was defaced, but not if it had a reference to God only. This had never happened till the Muslim population in our town increased dramatically. The matter was never reported to the police, and as such as there is no record of it.
Furthermore, in Muslim countries, only Islam can have any public manifestation of its festivals. All other religions have to keep a low profile i.e., accept a dhimmi status. If the above incidents are happening in Britain, then it is a sign that Muslim feel strong enough in Britain, to assert that only Islam can now have any presence in the public square.

My correspondent, who had not been online for a couple of days, informs me that she is an American who has lived in England for many years, which is why she says things like "wouldn't touch with a barge pole," but still spells some words, such as "civilization, with a "z."
