A Muslim group with ties to terrorism, calling itself United Voices for America will be holding events in Tallahassee, Florida in an attempt to influence legislators. The group is led by Ahmed Bedier, the former Executive Director of CAIR-Tampa and “unofficial spokesman” for Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader Sami Al-Arian. CAIR or the Council on American-Islamic Relations was created by operatives from Hamas. The group was recently named an unindicted co-conspirator by the U.S. Justice Department for a federal trial dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas, and the FBI refuses to meet with the group.
A coalition of anti-terror organizations will be holding a press conference on Tuesday, March 10th, to warn legislators about Ahmed Bedier and United Voices for America. Speaking at the press conference will be House Majority Leader Representative Adam Hasner; Florida Security Council (FSC) Director Tom Trento; Americans Against Hate (AAH) Chairman Joe Kaufman; Publisher of Red County - Florida, Dr. Richard M. Swier; Center for Security Policy President, Frank Gaffney; President of Christian Action Network(Homegrown Jihad), Martin J. Mawyer; Act for America, National Field Director, Kelly Cook; Intelligence Analyst, Jerry Gordon; former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Jim Woolsey.
