Turkish protestors burnt Israeli flag in Istanbul

From News am

Thousands of people participated in mass demonstrations in Istanbul protesting against Israeli attacks on Muslim shrines in Palestine.

The orators urged all Muslim countries to defend Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing Turkish people will never leave children and women to their own device against Israeli occupation. The protestors flied Palestinian flags, carried banners “Death to Israel!” and burnt down the Israeli flag.

No "Muslim shrines" have been attacked by the Israelis -- never. Christian and Jewish sites of religiious significance have been attacked by Muslims, but the reverse has never happened. Perhaps what these hysterical flag-burners are confused about is Israel's determination to continue to protect the Tomb of the Patriarchs, and Joseph's Tomb, and other sites in the "West Bank" (Judea and Samaria) to which the Muslims lay, not claim, but sole claim.

I have an affection, for very personal reasons, for the tomb of Rachel.
I would far rather it remained under the genuine protection of  Israeli adminstration than be used as a mosque.
