In May 2011, Rebecca Bynum and I were among more than a hundred guests who went to a Tennessee Freedom Coalition (TFC) event on the farm of TFC co-founder Andy Miller in an undisclosed location in the greater Nashville vicinity. It was on the occasion of a visit by the Hon. Geert Wilders who spoke on “A Warning to America” to assemble guests gathered that evening prior to his talks the following day in Franklin County and that evening at the Cornerstone Church in Madison. After dinner an Americans for Peace and Tolerance (APT) 15 minute film and a five minute trailer for a work in progress, Losing Our Sons  was shown. A longer version was shown to members of  the Tennessee Legislature that may have played a role in the enactment of anti-Terrorism legislation during the 2011 session. Fast forward to June 7, 2012 when the final  version of  Losing Our Sons had its world premiere  at the Corner Stone Church in Nashville.     

Losing Our Sons is a documentary about an American tragedy; the attack on June 1, 2009 at a  US Army recruiting Station in Little Rock Arkansas that  killed Private (Pvt.) William  “Andy” Long  wounding Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula. The attack was perpetrated by Carlos Bledsoe who converted to Islam while a student at Middle Tennessee State University. Bledsoe had adopted the name of the local Imam in Nashville, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, ultimately becoming a Jihadi, an acolyte of the late American-born Yemeni Imam, Anwar al-Awlaki.  Muhammed was intent on killing US service personnel because their comrades were killing his fellow Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. In July 2011 Muhammad/Bledsoe was convicted in a Pulaski County trial for his crimes and sentenced to life without parole. In March 2011, Melvin Bledsoe, the father of Muhammad/Bledsoe testified before a  US House Homeland Security Committee Hearing chaired by New York Congressman Peter King (R).  Daris Long, the father of murdered Army Private William Long testified in December 2011. Bledsoe’s testimony made a convincing case for his son having been “brainwashed” by Muslim Brotherhood extremists at the Nashville Islamic Center. He accused them of turning his son raised in a caring Baptist family in Memphis into a homegrown Islamic terrorist. It is a cautionary tale about how Islamic Da’wa can lead converts astray to commit such dangerous acts in furtherance of the “way of Allah” - Jihad.

The APT film Losing Our Sons portrays both fathers telling their stories about their sons’ upbringing and anguished losses.
Tonight at 8:00PM former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckebee will host a segment on his Fox News Saturday night  The Huckabee Show  discussing  this tragedy  with both fathers and what Americans should know about the totalitarian ideology at the core of Qur’anic doctrine. A doctrine that led Bledsoe’s son and Major Nidal Hassan at Fort Hood, Texas to kill fellow Americans.

Then sign the petition to the US Army Chief of Staff, General Ray Odierno to award the Purple Heart posthumously to the late Pvt.  William "Andy" Long,  wounded Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula and the twelve soldiers and one civilian killed at Fort Hood. Ask yourself why the US Department of Justice refused to prosecute Muhammad for a a terrorist act, instead considering it a street crime, because of alleged insufficient evidence. And why did President Obama threaten on May 15, 2012 to veto the Defense Appropriations Act  because Congress had requested Purple Hearts to be issued to the victims of both the Fort Hood and Little Rock Recruiting station jihad attacks.

Could it be that these requests were objected to by President Obama because they would have to admit that two successful terror attacks had occurred on his watch?  They want credit for thwarting attacks, but not the blame having them occur successfully. Terror attack, what terror attack? Little Rock was a drive-by and Fort Hood was a "workplace incident."
