Tax on rich to be introduced in Czech Republic

Dec 22, 2012 15:02 Moscow Time
Чехия Пльзень вид

The tax on the reach will come into force in the Czech Republic at the beginning of next year.

A decree to this effect was signed by the country’s president Vaclav Klaus on Saturday.

As of January 1, 2013, the citizens earning over 100,000 Czech crowns per month (about 5,200 dollars) will be required to pay additional tax at 7 percent.

The goal is to contribute to the state budget in the face of the ongoing financial crisis in the EU countries.
