I do love this "mostly civilians".
Try to ask these people how many of the 1000 were combatants. Apparently none. The Lebanese government said "mostly civiliansns" with no specifications, as if they have no idea who were these people. And the Beeb et alia dutyful followed suit.
Then try and ask them if they think the IDF deliberately avoided those who fired 4000 missiles on Israeli towns, and went instead for the civilians. Blank. And also try and ask them if those firing those 4000 missiles, when hit by the Israelis, count as combatants or civilians. Blank. And also, who do they think fought and died in the widely reported battles such as at Bint-Gbeil, and if they think none of these fighters was hit by the Israelis in those destroyed houses whown on BBC news. Blank.
The second Lebanon war is special, in that all the information was actually available for those who wanted to know, even on BBC news, and yet so many repeat falsehoods in blatant contradiction to this information. Like that bloke on

The BBC dosen't care for accuracy re anything that concerns Israel. Over 500,000 (yes, fiver zeroes) Israeli CIVILIANS were made homeless due to the attack by Hezbollah from Lebanon. Israel received heavy damage in civilian areas such as schools, hospitals, housing etc yet the BBC doesn't count Israelis as civilians or does it bother to report such things in Israel.
It si my fervent hope that if Lebanon/Hezbollah attacks Israel again, the return fire will eliminate any potential for Lebanon ever to allow war to be launched from its terriory again. It is obvious that the cease fire, brokered by the UN and others, with the provision that Hezbollah be disarmed has not been adhered to. Hezbollah is once again in total control of Southern Lebanon and has added to its arms stores. There will be another incident eventually and more civilians on both sides will be in danger.I think it shameful that the BBC has chosen sides and no respectable media sources take them to task for violating their journalistic obligations to report ALL the news without bias.
