This one’s for Artemis.

There were three bands that played around East London in the mid to late 70s in particular but not solely the Ruskin Arms in East Ham.
We all know what happened to Iron Maiden. This, by special request of Artemis is what became of Angel Witch. But whatever happened to Zorro?
I still am an Iron Maiden fan and was sorry not to have been able to see them at Twickenham two weeks ago. I was never so keen on Angel Witch myself but they had their admirers.

Artemis

Apparently you haven't seen my previous attempts at puzzle-solving.

"Uh, Zorro is the only one that starts with the letter 'Z'?"

But, luckily for me, there are search engines:  www.tartareandesire.com/bands/Zorro/5440/

"The British hard rock / heavy metal band Zorro was formed in Norwich in 1975. A highly collectable single was released in 1979 before the band split up with bassist Alan Fish moving on to acts such as Tredegar, Groundhogs and Egypt. The band did a two month UK tour following up their EP release and had the chance to support bands such as Suzy Quattro and Dire Straits during their life span."

U.S. audiences will remember Suzy Quattro for her tight-leather-pants-clad appearances on the tv show "Happy Days" as "Leather Tuscadero", the younger sister of "Pinky Tuscadero".  I know I do.

"Former Members:

Mark Newman (Vocals)

Dave Smith (Vocals)

Terry Bunting (Guitars)

Ronnie Newson (Guitars)

Kevin Longman (Bass)

Alan Fish (Bass)

Galen Littlewood (Keyboards)

Jon Kirk (Drums)

Fritz Wright (Drums)

Ricci Titcombe (Drums)"

So, what is the single, and is it available on-line?

Arrods Don't Sell'em is available from Vinyl Tap of Huddersfield @ £59.99
Otherwise the question was rhetorical. I sort of know where some of the others are now – their names crop up, but Zorro’s, perhaps because they are from Norfolk not London don’t.
