Sounds like an "Asian" "youth" rationalizing his behavior.

Yes, that "beat you/eat you" business can momentarily bring a listener up short. But it merely reflects the lyricist's limits, and the possibilities of English rhyming. Despite that, I like the rest, and thought the song worth putting up as a period piece -- that is, as (so the record label tells us) the product of a "Novelty" Band.  A backward-glancing "novelty" indeed.
