Loews Bows to Intimidation

The hotel that was hosting our symposium has bowed to intimidation. They cancelled our plans due to concerns for the "health, safety and welfare of their employees and other guests."

We have found another location that will be emailed to those registered.

We'll have the details worked out soon.

Hadley v Baxendale? Involved a crankshaft, as I recall, and various other working parts. No Wankel engines were involved.

I was not referring to the crankshaft. I was not even referring to the finding in Hadley v. Baxendale, but to the principle it established, about foreseeability. Cancelled airline tickets,opportunity costs, and so on. The last full measure, not of devotion, as at Gettysburg, but of expectation damages.

Tonight I will dream of fireworks bouncing off thin skulls, silver foxes, blue pencils, decomposing snails in ginger beer bottles, frustration and an advertising peerless puff of smoke balls.

I'll be wearing my contributory negligee. It's a frolic of my own, after all.
