What a very, very useful precedent. I hope that this act, by a Bangladeshi hospital, to ban the wearing of burqa and niqab by the staff members, on the grounds of crime and disease prevention, is seized upon by those who in the West - in France, and elsewhere - are attempting to bring about a burqa ban.
The hygiene and crime prevention arguments (and these garments offer an extraordinary advantage to shoplifters, in these days of CCTV) made by the Bangladeshi hospital burqa-banners, when combined - from a Western, non-Muslim POV - with the indisputable fact that such garments can be and have been used by the perpetrators of murder-'martyr' mass killings, and by male jihadis attempting to escape the law, are overwhelmingly convincing.
No burqa and niqab should be permitted to be worn in any public space or institution, anywhere in the lands of the non-Muslims. Not in any hospital, school, university campus, playground, park, street, bank, shop, government building, mall/ shopping centre, or on any form of public transport.
Come on, France. Just do it; establish the ban; and enforce it, by all means necessary.
