Donkey bomb kills 3 children in Afghanistan's Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - A bomb strapped to the back of a donkey blew up in the centre of Afghanistan's southern city of Kandahar on Monday, killing three children and wounding five people, officials said.

The bomb struck close to a police post guarding the residence of a tribal chief and ally of President Hamid Karzai in an area of the city where several government buildings are located.

Zalmai Ayoubi, a spokesman for the provincial governor, said three nephews of the tribal chief, Fazluddin, were killed, while three pedestrians and two police guarding Fazluddin's house were wounded.

Was I the only person who, on first glancing at the title, thought of Donkey Kong? I hope not.

Sorry, I thought of Donkey Dong.  My bad.

No, Hugh.  You are not alone.  I must confess 'Donkey Kong' for some strange reason flitted through my mind, also.

Now I'm thinking of a soft-core porn flick shown frequently here on cable. Kinky Kong, and JMJ's "...man is kinky" affirmations, one of which, if memory serves (can't find a link), had something to do with King Kong.

Before reading the above postings I immediately thought, "Donkeys led by liars."
