Can You Blame Them?

Yesterday, from Germany came the announcement that a bust of Nefertiti would not be returned to Egypt from the Berlin Museum.  .

And today, a news story about unchecked looting and vandalism in Egypt contained the following: :

"Meanwhile, soldiers have entered the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to secure it from looters, as anti-government protests continued in the capital in defiance of a curfew.

Early on Saturday morning, soldiers secured the museum and its grounds, located near some of the most intense of the mass anti-government protests in the capital.

The museum is home to priceless ancient artifacts, some dating back 5,000 years. Many artefacts lay damaged on the floor, but officials said nothing had been stolen.

Before the army arrived, young Egyptians - some armed with truncheons grabbed off the police - created a human chain at the museum's front gate to prevent looters from making off with any of the artefacts.

Zahi Hawass, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, said the would-be looters only managed to vandalise two mummies, ripping their heads off. They also cleared out the museum gift shop.

He said the museum's prized King Tutankhamun exhibit, which includes the boy pharaoh's gold death mask, had not been damaged and was safe.

However, the museum's contents could still be damaged by the potential collapse of a neighbouring building gutted by fire, Hawass said.:

I observe that the mummies were beheaded.  The rioting Muslims - in a raid upon a museum dedicated to objects from the pre-Islamic history of Egypt (that is, a period dismissed with contempt by all strict Muslims as a time of jahiliyya, 'ignorance', all relics and memory of which must be despised and destroyed), a raid probably carried out **after evening 'prayers' at the mosque**,  'late on Friday' (according to the Reuters report) - dragged out of their cases the bodies of two pre-Islamic Egyptian people, and **ripped their heads off**.

Absolutely typical Mohammedan deliberate and blasphemous desecration of the dead; utterly typical Muslim contempt for and attempt to destroy the art and customs and the everything of any non-Islamic civilisation, even the civilisation of (if truth be told) people who are most likely among their own genetic ancestors.

Memo to every museum, everywhere else in the non-Islamic world, not just the prudent Germans but everyone: DO NOT give back, to any Mohammedan country, even one small object dating from Before Islam.  Because it's a safe bet that, sooner or later, the mindless Mohammedan mob, high on hatred and the pleasure of destruction - and consumed by self-hatred, the driving will to annihilate even the smallest reminder that there was anything in their land Before Islam, and that their own ancestors were once Not Muslim - will smash it into little tiny pieces.
