From Luftwaffe To Lufthansa
Back in the day when I skimmed through copies of Commentary, the thought occurred to mine goyishe kop that someone with a "Talmudic" memory might be able to stick a pin in one of those magazines and state correctly that its tip touched an advertisement for Lufthansa Airlines. As Meir Kahane, who noted that rabbis put a five hundred year ban on Spain on account of their expulsion, might have said of said ad (as he did of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany, if memory serves) "It's much too soon."
