My first radio Derb (I'm at a friend's with broadband, while I generally connect through my laptop at lower speeds) and I'm enjoying it tremendously. I'm about half way through and I just realized that my 25 years of Jewish education has finally granted me the opportunity to offer something of inestimable value to the world.
I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that the "hootchpoh" you just mentioned (it that is invading Mexico-lady's facial orifices) might actually be "chutzpah". Here's where I come in. I can advise all interested readers in its proper (American-Jewish) pronunciation. That would be as a word spoken somewhat quickly (which is how most American Jews speak) and with a tone of angry indignation (the level of angry-indignation proper for the pronunciation is situationally dependant) as "chootz-puh".
Emphasis on the first syllable
ch - as in chazer, chazan, challah and chanukah
oo - NOT as in "food" but rather is an shmootz, look and "oos sensei!!"
tz - as in tzaddik, tzedaka, tzidkis, tzadeikes and tzunami
puh - as in hunt, bunt, runt and cunt.
I'm with the International Zionist Conspiracy - and I'm here to help.
