A Musical Interlude: Unsuccessful Rendezvous (Alexander Tsfasman)

The song is about a man who asks a woman out; she replies, lightly smiling, yes yes yes yes. He prepares: buys her a bouquet consisting of three asters, shaves, puts on a new blue polka-dotted tie. And they both arrive, and each waits -- in vain -- for the other. He had waited outside the pharmacy; she had looked for him outside the movie theatre.  Each waited, and finally became annoyed with the other. But everything's been explained, everything's fine now, and they end by agreeing to meet tomorrow -- "at the very same place" and at "the very same time."
