Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem Postponed
Israeli Knesset Member Dr. Arieh Eldad sent out an email today postponing the Facing Jihad conference originally scheduled for December 14-15th in Jerusalem.
Dear Friends
I am sorry to let you know that because of the unexpected elections in Israel many of the Israeli MK's that were invited by me to attend let me know that they cannot make it as they have to run their primaries.
I suggest that we will postpone the law maker conference until after the elections in Israel . We will conduct a one day conference in the Begin Center , with the goal of educating the public in Israel about the true nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as the local symptom of a global disease.
I am sorry that all the efforts that we put into it will not be fulfilled in December as we planned. I am sure that you will understand that as a politician running for the next term in the Knesset I have now to postpone it. I hope I will be able to host a meeting in the next term as a leader of my new party Ha’tikva (the hope).

Other factors that lead to the postponement were the illness of the main speaker, Bat Ye’or, author of “Eurabia,” the unavailability of the Knesset facility, and conflicts with the parliamentary and Congressional sessions in E.U., U.K., and Canada. This postponement will afford additional time to invite key US Members of Congress, Canadian anti-Jihad advocates and parliamentarians, Indian and Korean lawmakers, among others. The kerfuffle created by the alleged disinvitation of the Belgian separatist Flemish Party Vlaams Belang has been mooted with Dr. Eldad’s announcement of the postponement.
We look forward to reconvening the Facing Jihad conference. We also trust that M.K. Dr. Eldad and colleagues on the Ha’ tikvah party list will be successful in their political campaign in the Israeli general elections scheduled for February 10th.
