That's incredible. You're not quite in the same spot - the 1919 was to the right of you. The best bits haven't changed.
Wonder what it smelled like. This was after the sewers were put in, but I bet it was smellier than now.

Yes, I was on the traffic island. To get to the same spot would have meant an argument with a double decker bus waiting at the lights, and I don't think I would have won it.
The Treasury on the left has not changed a bit, except the addition of red telephone boxes.
The building on the corner of Bridge Street with the dome looks slightly different about the roofline. I think that may have been Second World War damage repaired.
