Well hung, or, pennies from heaven

None of us likes* paying taxes, but the aptly monikered Herbert Crossman has taken his anger to new heights, giving Nelson's column a run for its money. From The Times:

A man suspended himself from a crane in Trafalgar Square to protest against the cost of living. Herbert Crossman, 60, a security company manager from Harrow, northwest London, hung upside down for two hours. He said that he was protesting against the “take, take, take attitude” of the Government. Mr Crossman demonstrated how the public was “haemorrhaging money” by placing tubs beneath him to catch money as it fell from his pockets. “It’s our money the Government is wasting, not their fat-cat salaries,” said Mr Crossman, who plans to start a Let-The-Penny-Drop political party.

He could always open a suspense account.

*Does "none of us likes" sound a tad precious? Answers on a postcard, please, giving fewer than ten reasons why I should care less about such trifles.
