"We remind Hosni Mubarak that we are all Egyptians. Where does he want us to go?”
To Friday prayers at the local mosque, obviously.
This is Islamic scientific knowledge on full display. The disease is spread person-to-person, not pig-to-person. There are no infected pigs in Egypt, and as long as they don't import them from infected countries, there (probably) won't be. Killing pigs in Egypt will not prevent the spread of the disease among people.
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, and Libya all ban pigs in their countries. By Islamic scientific principles, there is no need for people in those countries to wash their hands (especially with an alcohol-based disinfectant), stay home when sick, or avoid congregating at daily prayers, or at the usual stoning/beheading public executions. No pigs, no swine flu. Q.E.D.

You forgot to mention the most important point. The government has said there is no need for compensation as the farmers will be allowed to sell the meat. If the flu does break out in Egypt, because of their lack of sanitation and health infrastructure, it will be hit far harder than any Western country. They will then respond like any other Muslim, genocide of the Copts.
