'nuff already
It's hard to believe such an incident can occur in this country. This is the kind of thing thing that typically happens someplace else, like Britain or France, but never here. Or at least that's what our leaders and the media would like us to believe. Yet the evidence to the contrary is difficult to refute. If the media would simply report what is really going on with the muslim community in cities and towns across this country I'm quite certain the American citizenry would put its collective foot down and make it clear they have no intention of putting up with such nonsense.
I think the media avoids the issue because they do not want to acknowledge the truth, for if they acknowledge the truth, then they would also have to acknowledge they're wrong...and that's a mighty hard pill for the delusional to swallow.

"... misdemeanor desecration of a venerated object ..."
How does this square with the concept of "separation of church and state"?
And has that "misdemeanor" ever been applied to desecration of actual secular veneerated objects, like, for instance, the Flag?

What's going on with the Nashville Police!!!??? I used to think these officer were among the best America had to offer, not cowards katowing to the PC. I live in one of the most liberal and corrupt states in America (Illinois), But I feel they would have protected my rights more than the officers of Nashville. Well after reading this, and hearing how officers are avoiding the political backlash from the pc crowd, I think I will move to Texas and be with the like of Ann Barnhardt who, ( and I'm sorry to compare you to a bunch of whimpy Nashville cops ) has more cojones than that police sgt Brooks. What has this country come to!!?? To the Nashville Police Department; DO YOUR JOB AND UPHOLD THE LAW! JUSTICE IS SUPPOSE TO BE BLIND. AND OH YEAH, GROW A PAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
