Enough of serious news for a moment.
I decided to set a quiz of my own over the weekend.
Several correspondents recognised two of them, and found a link but not the one I was looking for between all four. Thank you Gentlemen for giving the matter your best attention.
The men are, widdershins:-
- Bernard-Henri Levy, French philosopher and pen owner
- Donny Osmond of the Osmonds, singer
- Marilyn Manson, also a singer
- Emlyn Hughes, former England and Liverpool captain nicknamed Crazy Horse for his larger than life personality.
Which is the institution I was thinking of, personified by the Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I like the webcam which I have never yet seen in any weather other than bright and sunny. I’m sure it will rain over the next few months and I might catch sunrise this morning.
Donny Osmond and his brothers had their biggest hit in 1972 with Crazy Horses and the album of the same name.
Bernard-Henri Levy and Marilyn Manson are and were married respectively to Arielle Dombasle and Dita von Teese who are the only independent performers to be invited to perform their show as guests at the Crazy Horse Salon in Paris.

Levi or Levy? That kind of thing can throw contestants off, you know.

Strangely I have seen it both ways, sometimes both at the same time as in this page at Amazon on line bookshop.
As the book jacket says “y” I will assume that his publishers know his preference.
All “i”s corrected.
You appreciate that I know more about football than philosophy.
