Your head,
Your body,
Pierced with wire,
Pierced with nails,
You became an immortal
Martyr for Christ,
Venerable
Quintin of Amiens,
And your body
And the tools
Of your torture
Holy founts of healing.
–
Our heads,
Our bodies,
Ensnared with wires without,
And soon within,
Pounded
Relentlessly
With waves
From towers
Pitiless and silent,
Punctured
With vaccine needles,
Are becoming
Post-human prophets
Of Antichrist,
Seeds of death
Amidst life,
Supplanting
What remains of
Truth and nobility
With lies and brutality.
