The Silence of the FBI Lambs

I retired on the last day of 2000, after 31 years as an FBI Special Agent. My entire career was spent in three Southern offices, investigating violations of Federal Criminal Statutes. I was not trained in nor was I involved in Foreign Counter Intelligence (FCI), or “Terrorism,” Counter-Terrorism (CT) matters.

For a time, I was a member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, (SOFSA). I was aware when I decided to join the organization that, in my opinion, the Society is essentially nothing more than an extension of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters, FBIHQ, (the Bureaucracy). Over time this view has been confirmed to my satisfaction. In 2018, I chose to not renew my membership.

The mission I had voluntary taken on was to try to enlist the Society to address the apparent subversion of the FBI by the Muslim Brotherhood, including both the FBI hierarchy, and the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ). I have not been successful.

This is the Mission Statement of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, (SOFSA):

The Society mission is to preserve our shared FBI values; to support the welfare of our members through services, benefits, and career networking; to offer programs of fellowship, education, service, and history; and to promote the FBI and law enforcement/national security communities.

I will let the reader decide if this organization is living up to its stated mission.

The modern-day FBI, in my opinion, is the result of what Jim Simpson (Author of The Red-Green Axis 2.0: An Existential Threat to America and the World) might describe as the “seeding of the government with leftists.”

In 2011/2012, when I learned about the purging of FBI training documents of an Islamic nexus to violence and terrorism, I became curious. I read the doctrine of Islam for myself. I also have the Reliance of the Traveler, A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law, that I refer to. I have read books by, and am acquainted with, former Muslims. Muslims are not allowed to “interpret” the doctrine for themselves; Muhammed already interpreted it.

The request to purge FBI training of Islamic doctrinal motivations for Jihad came from known Muslim Brotherhood affiliates to John Brennan, then Assistant to President Obama for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and to Tom Perez, then Assistant Attorney General, U. S. Department of Justice. Judicial Watch has documented the purge here. FBI Director Bob Mueller ordered the FBI purge of both materials and trainers in this regard. Among those trainers who were removed from Quantico training were FBI Investigative Analyst (IA) Bill Gawthrop, as well as Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, who was a contractor. The allegation was that the materials and speakers were “anti-Muslim.” Of course, this was not the case at all, since the materials used were sourced from Islamic doctrine.

In 2012 I reached out to one of my retired FBI classmates who was active in the Society. I asked my classmate if, during any Society meetings, gatherings, or conventions, there was ever any mention of the purging of FBI Training. He responded that he had not heard of it and that he had not heard it mentioned. Why did I know about it and he did not? I queried a few others who were still on active duty, and a few had heard of it, but nothing definitive. Why, I asked myself? Why don’t these guys know about this? Why, also, an apparent lack of interest?

My classmate suggested that I author a White Paper on the subject and submit it to the Society, which I did. My paper was quite simple and straightforward, linking Lenin’s Soviet Cheka (secret police) with the training of Middle Eastern Terrorists, which you can read about here. I did so to reflect a link between what we used to work, the Soviet threat, with the Muslim Brotherhood. I got a two-word reply from the then President of the Society: ”Thank you.” Incidentally, I was told by another former FBI Agent that the Society would be of no help.

In 2017, I followed up my White paper with a more detailed proposed article to the monthly publication of the Society, The Grapevine. I never received a response.

In addition to Judicial Watch, referred to above, one can go here, to The Center of Security Policy, and read See No Sharia, Countering Violent Extremism and the Disarming of America’s First Lines of Defense, about the infiltration by the Muslim Brotherhood into our National Security apparatus. Chapters three and seven are specific to the FBI.

While active duty, my peers chose me to be their Chapter Representative to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Agents Association (FBIAA), a professional organization of active duty FBI Agents. I have talked with the current President of the FBIAA, as well as an active duty agent I know who has been on a Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). It was clear to me that neither of these agents fully comprehended or knew what in fact has been done to FBI training regarding the Islamic threat.

I am not alleging that every person who identifies as a “Muslim” agrees with or practices the Jihad called for in Islamic doctrine.

I know of other retired FBI Agents who are or have taught CT (Counter Terrorism) to law enforcement, both domestically and internationally. It is apparent to me, and in one case personally admitted to me, that they have not read Islamic doctrine.

The possession of the FBI badge and credentials, unfortunately, is not a vaccination against ignorance, willful blindness, or apathy.

Imagine if you will, one or more FBI Agents working a case, developing evidence, and presenting the evidence to a US Attorney. Evidence comes to light, and the Agents and Attorneys turn their back on it—don’t even consider it. Would this not be malfeasance? It is a psychosis.

As is set forth in black and white, on page 7 of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Explanatory Memorandum, On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America, dated 5/22/1991 (entered into evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial) which you can read here, the MB will use our own, “by their hands,” to subvert us.

How many ways are there to say that silence is complicity? “Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

There is an asymmetrical war being waged against us that too many do not understand and refuse to acknowledge. I hearken back to Soviet Premier Kruschev’s words, and I paraphrase, “we will take you over from within.”
