Ayaan Hirsi Ali: Islam Needs A Reformation In Order To Co-Exist With The World

Ayaan Hirsi Ali sets out, in a new book (a preview of which was just published in the Wall Street Journal here, the reasons that Islam, that is the adherents of Islam, Muslims, cannot live peacefully with, nor be trusted by, any non-Muslims. She sets out some, not all, of the things that would have to be subject to reformation, including much of what is it in the Qur’an and in the Hadith. But it is so much, and the figure of Muhammad, as an exemplar to be emulated, would have to go altogether. It’s not a big task; it’s an impossible one. I assume that  Ayaan Hirsi Ali knows this, and is helping to set the stage for that realization. One wonders what the barack-obamas of this world — there are so many, though he thinks himself a Unique And Improbable Figure In History– will make, if they dare to read and not dismiss, this book.

Here.

If the link does not work, please google “Ayaan Hirsi Ali” and “reformation” and “Wall Street Journal.” I’ve been having troubles with the WStJ links.

  1. Islam needs an Enlightenment, or a reformulation. Not a Reformation. The Wahhabis and their like-thinkers already gave the world an Islamic Reformation, back to its radixical roots.
