Birmingham teacher Muhammad Taimoor charged with sexually assaulting schoolgirls

From the Birmingham Mail and the Stourbridge News

A teacher from Birmingham has been charged with sexually assaulting schoolgirls ‘while he was at work’. Muhammad Taimoor, of Richmond Road, Stechford, is accused of sexually assaulting four teenage girls. Two of the girls are aged 15, one 14 and one 16-year-old.

The teacher has also been charged with four counts of causing or inciting child sexual exploitation, sexual activity while in a position of trust, and two counts of trafficking within the UK. The latter two charges relate to accusations that he drove girls around in his car with the intention of sexually assaulting them.

Taimoor was initially arrested last Monday (May 9) on suspicion of sexual assault but later released on conditional police bail. The 28-year-old was rearrested at his home in the early hours of Saturday (May 14). But following the receipt of further information the teacher was arrested in the early hours on Saturday (May 14) and is being questioned in custody. He is suspected of assaulting four girls and of sending indecent images of himself to them.

Police confirmed he had suspended from his teaching role at a secondary school and specialist officers are supporting pupils at the school which cannot be named for legal reasons. The school has suspended him and appropriate protocols and procedures have been put in place by school management.

Taimoor is set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, May 16.

This sounds like a proper council run state secondary school, and not the establishment, also in Birmingham, un-registered, fee-paying and dubious where three men were arrested on suspicion of being involved in female genital mutilation (FGM) last week.
