Welsh poppies and forget-me-nots. Fear not; although I am now allowed to drive further afield than before to reach a place for fresh air and exercise I didn't drive as far as Wales. Just far enough to a garden of interest where these orange and blue flowers made a striking contrast.

Aythya fuligula, the tufted duck. This one is male (I think - the female has some brown feathers). Reckoned to be Britain's best diving duck. This little chap is an excellent diver; he went under in front of me and came up several feet away, then posed for his picture.
