But What If He Isn’t? What If The Devil Isn’t In The Details?

What if the Devil is not in the details? What  if He is somewhere else, refined out of existence, paring his fingernails? Or what if He’s not in the details, nor hiding somewhere else, but simply managing to escape notice by remaining in plain sight?
