Danger of Islamist Terrorism: Be Not Afraid

by Michael Curtis (April 2016)

No good deed goes unpunished. The campaign by the U.S., Western countries, Kurds, and Russia against ISIS has succeeded up to a point. ISIS, the self-created Islamic Caliphate is shrinking. It has lost about 40 per cent of the territory it held in Iraq, and 20 per cent in Syria, and lost cities including Mosul, Ramadi, and Palmyra, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is in danger of losing Raqqa. However, as a result, ISIS has changed its priority. 1. How about adopting the “broken window” method of policing to the Muslim neighborhoods in Europe? Any tiny infraction of the law results in an arrest, and the individual involved can be vetted for any other “issues”. If any problems are found, deport the individual.

Camps in Turkey and Syria should be supported so that the people can be near to home for easy return when the war ends.

Anyone who apparently isn’t from Syria (Moroccans, for example) must be deported immediately. Anyone who “lost” or never had papers must be deported immediately as well.

For long-term policy, stop giving apartment rent support, free public school and healthcare to persons relocating to Europe from the Middle East. The draw of generous social programs cannot be denied. If you or I lived in an Islamic basket-case country, wouldn’t anywhere is Europe seem heavenly? Plus, the immigrants can consider moving to be their lesser jihad, a way to go directly to heaven at death.

  2. Not a word from our author about the most obvious way to drastically decrease terrorism: close the European borders to Muslims. Deport every Muslim who hasn’t been here for 20 years.

I don’t expect you to print this. You are still in the stage of believing it is a law enforcement problem and “discrimination” against Muslims is worse than a few hundred people being shredded by nail bombs.
