  1. Postscript by the Author:
The situation in Canada may be, or become, worse than we have depicted it here. A recent article entitled “Canada shouldn’t disintegrate into factions” by Lawrie McFarlane, quotes the new Prime Minister as saying in an interview published in the New York Times Magazine: There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada….There are shared values…to search for equality and justice. These qualities are what make us the first post-national state.” Trudeau is blind to the contradiction between ‘shared values’ and ‘mainstream’. And blind to the nonsensical rubbish of a ‘post-national state.’ Trudeau seems to want his ‘nation’ to disintegrate. Will Quebec be encouraged to separate? And the rest of Canada?
