Even Stephen Greenblatt Can Annoy The Dabashis And The Salamis

Stephen Greenblatt, who has not always been treated kindly at this website, was invited to a Shakespeare conference in Teheran. Many of the other morris-zapps declined; Greenblatt decided to go. His report on his trip has just been published at The New York Review of Books. And it has already elicited furious responses, expressed in very bad English, full of resentment and illogic and hysteria, by Hamid Dabashi (at Columbia University) and by Ismail Salami (at Tehran University). Read what you can stand to.
