The word “chantier” does not mean “projects” but a literal translation of “chantier” would not do, or even come close. I also thought of “undertakings” and “initiatives.” But I stuck with “proposals.” And then , at the last minute, americanizing it even more, for “proposals” I substituted “things.”
His suggestions constitute a good and necessary start, to something that never need have happened, had the West not let Muslims into its midst, beginning a few decades ago.
