Is Opposing Islam Contrary to American Values?

The main stream media’s latest buzzphrase is “American Values.” They are claiming that critics of Islam and opponents of Muslim immigration or who would not support a Muslim for President are against American Values.

I maintain that those who push this idea, are actually proposing that Islamic culture is equal to Western culture and one should not distinguish between the two. This reveals a complete bankruptcy of values. If you can’t examine Islamic culture and history, observe the effect of Islam around the world today and make the value judgment that what we’re seeing is barbarism pure and simple, then you have no idea what the word value means. Those who maintain an equivalence between Islamic culture and Western culture, that Islamic law is equal to Western law, are proposing Western surrender – there is no other way to understand it.

Islamists have a clear-cut view – Islam is superior to the West. We have to be unapologetic about opposing Islam, Islamists, and the spread of Islamic barbarism.
