It Was Regime Change All Along

By Roger L Simon

Regime Change has always been the goal of the war against the mullahs and the Islamic Republic. It was, and is, the only way to guarantee that we would not return to the status quo ante with the Islamist government holding the whip hand over its people and terrorizing the Western world and others. (They don’t seem particularly friendly to the Gulf States at the moment either.)

And even then, it would always be dependent on the nature of that change—who steps in.

So neither President Trump and his administration nor Prime Minister Netanyahu and his administration initially said explicitly that their stated goal was Regime Change, since they might not be able to achieve it, and then what?

Yes, there were many other goals that existed and would justify kinetic action that they knew they could achieve, including seriously undermining Iran’s nuclear weapons program and setting back their currently far more dangerous missile and drone production. As is widely known, they manufacture drones for the Russians to use in Ukraine. Their missiles, with their Chinese guidance systems, can already reach Europe. It won’t be long before they can go anywhere, including New York and Washington.

“Death to America” actually means, wait for it, “Death to America.”

But now, thanks to the amazing—or perhaps not so amazing when you think about it—rapid success of the U. S. and Israeli militaries, Regime Change is very much on the table.

And yet, for reasons almost too depressing to speculate about (but I will), the possibility of Regime Change mortifies the Woke Right and nearly the entire Democratic Party, with the exception of Senator John Fetterman.

They appear to mourn the assassination of Ayatollah Khomeini as if he were Mahatma Gandhi or Martin Luther King. Well, not quite, but the undertones are not far off.

It’s hard to believe when it’s such a clear battle between good and evil, but it’s what’s happening.

For the Democrats, it’s unfortunately not that difficult to understand why. Nature abhors a vacuum, and they have become one.

There’s no there there in the Dem Party anymore, with the exception of bizarre, unscientific beliefs about sexual identity and a desire for open borders motivated by the most obvious, partisan, and hypocritical power grab. The same people who abjure ID cards to vote wouldn’t be caught dead getting on a plane unless every passenger had one. The racism inherent in this hardly bears discussion. (Dark people aren’t intelligent enough to get IDs, etc.)

That vacuum in the Dem Party is then filled by something long familiar to all of us—Trump Derangement Syndrome. Anything Trump does is inherently wrong, essentially a moronic viewpoint crossing over into a cognitive disorder.

As for the Woke Right, who knows? It’s an amalgam of whack jobs who seem to think America First means the rest of the world doesn’t exist, or don’t care if it does or what happens there. Weirdly, many of these people were errant internationalists just a few years ago. Something happened, possibly a form of “brain-COVID” emanating from social media. Call it IDS (Internet Derangement Syndrome), the desire for more and more clicks and attention until it causes, after a massive infusion of dopamine and other chemicals, something rather like a psychotic break. That’s what we’re seeing across the Woke Right. (The Woke Left already had it. Evidently, it’s communicable.)

What’s fascinating about all these people is how little they know about Iran and its exploits. When you bring them up, they seem disinterested. It’s as if 1979 never happened, and all those Americans were not kidnapped for so long, or Soleimani never instigated the planting of all the IEDs that killed so many of our troops or blew off their legs.

That’s only for starters. No one can really know how many terror cells the mullahs have planted on our shores, given Biden’s (or his handlers’) open border policy. A:; we can do is keep our eyes open and say something if we see something.

But if you’re looking for evidence of just how ruthless the mullahs can be, here’s one you will never hear about on The View. Sheryl and I learned about this during our research for “Keys to Paradise.

We interviewed democracy demonstrators, who resembled Cubist Picassos from having been beaten to the inch of their lives in Evin Prison, their friends and relatives murdered. They told us of women who were forced into “marriages” with their prison guards and then raped by them before being executed the next day so that, according to the Khomeinist version of Shiism, they would be sent to Hell. Their parents were then notified of what occurred. (Could Mengele have devised anything more sadistic?)

To check my memory, I asked Grok the following: “Do prison guards in Iran rape female prisoners to prevent them from going to Heaven?”

Grok: “Yes, there are multiple credible reports and testimonies indicating that in the 1980s (particularly during mass executions of political prisoners), Iranian prison authorities raped virgin female prisoners before execution, specifically to prevent them from entering paradise/heaven, according to a twisted interpretation of Islamic beliefs.”

Twisted? I’m not sure. The response goes on, equivocating, as AI often does, about whether this ended in the eighties. It seems it became less common, but was still practiced.

In any case, you would think President Trump and his exceptionally capable Tonto, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, would have the world’s applause for doing the right thing and ridding humanity of these monsters. But that, sadly, is not how things work. The attacks on Rubio by former Senate colleagues like Senator Blumenthal of “stolen valor” fame seem particularly repellent.

Envy governs so much of human behavior that Trump Derangement is not just a neurosis. It’s a psychosis. The hatred and, yes, jealousy, of Donald Trump is so extreme that some of these people would actually prefer to live under a fascist, communist, or theocratic dictatorship than a free society if Trump were to get credit.

Nevertheless, despite this incessant sneering from the right and left, the media, the pollsters and who knows who else, good will prevail over evil, hopefully soon, but certainly eventually.

We just have to be patient. Homo sapiens, it is thought, first appeared some 300,000 years ago. Moses received the Ten Commandments only 3400 years ago, give or take, depending on the calendar used.

My prediction is that it will happen a little quicker than that.
