Jewish Students Awarded Millions After Anti-Semitic School Nightmare

From the Jewish Standard:

The upper NY school district has agreed to pay 4.45 million dollars to settle an Anti Semitic Law suit case that was filed in 2012 by five current and former Jewish students at the Pine Bush School. The Jewish students sued the school for being tormented, bullied, and harassed in an anti-Semitic manner on a daily basis.  The lawsuit accused school officials of failing to protect their students and even looking the other way.

The five former and current Jewish students who filed the claim will receive two thirds of the enormous sum. The rest will go to their lawyers.

Instances included terrifying bus rides with ongoing chants and Nazi salutes, beatings and shovings, vandalization of their personal property with Nazi symbols and swastikas as well as other incidents.

The lawsuit was filed in 2012. It took three years to get to this milestone. The school’s officials had fought against the suit saying it was false.

The deal came two weeks before the case was going to be heard in the United States District Court in White Plains, NY.
