(CNN)Two Japanese hostages, one demand from ISIS: Hand over $200 million, or else.
The else being that the pair will meet the same gruesome fate as other captives held by the terrorist group, others who were shown in ISIS videos kneeling in orange jumpsuits in front of masked, black-clad men — just like the Japanese hostages identified as Kenji Goto Jogo and Haruna Yukawa — shortly before being beheaded.
A masked man in the latest video gives the Japanese government a choice to pay $200 million — the same amount of money Prime Minister Shinzo Abe recently pledged for those “contending” with ISIS — to free the Japanese men. That deal holds for 72 hours, which would seem to mean sometime Friday since the video appeared on social media Tuesday.
Another move that theoretically could change things would be if Japan’s government halts its alliance with those fighting against ISIS, which calls itself the Islamic State. Tokyo hasn’t participated in airstrikes aimed at the Islamist extremist group, though its leaders have supported those who have, as well as the Iraqi government.
“Although you are more than 8,500 kilometers away from the Islamic State, you willingly volunteered to take part in this crusade,” the masked man on the video posted Tuesday says, addressing his comments to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Dear Japan.
This naked, brazen, gross and ugly thuggery and extortion is Islam, unmasked. Just as it was Islam, unmasked, when a Muslim visitor to Japan went into one of your shrines and viciously smashed to bits a statue or statues of the Buddha.
You will probably not get your two citizens out of this alive. Do not pay the ransom.
But if you do…then your *next* step should be to END, henceforward, ALL entry of Muslims into Japan. Do not let even one more Muslim step foot on Japanese soil, no matter what. Break off, or drastically reduce, diplomatic relations with Muslim lands. You do not have muslim neighbours. China, your nearest neighbour, has its own problems with Muslims within the gates; take a good long look and that, as also at the Philippines, with the jihad raging in Mindanao, and draw the logical conclusion: Got Muslims? Got Jihad. Sooner or later, guaranteed. If you, therefore, make sure that you do NOT have Muslims on your soil, your citizens will be that much freer and safer (and you would be well advised to tell your own citizens *not* to visit Muslim lands, anywhere, in future).
Shut down whatever mosques have already been established in Japan; expel, inexorably and swiftly, all Muslims currently present in Japan. Tell your citizens abroad that marriage to Muslims will NOT be permitted; that it is far too dangerous; that if you are stupid enough to marry a Muslim, your ‘spouse’ will not be permitted to enter Japan, ever, and if you convert to Islam, you will not be let back in, ever, until and unless you publicly renounce Islam.
(Get Phyllis Chesler’s “An American Bride in Kabul” translated into Japanese, and make it required reading for all Japanese schoolgirls; dub into Japanese Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Theo Van Gogh’s “Submission” and show it to all girls; circulate, in Japanese, Rosemary Sookhdeo’s “Secrets Behind the Burka” and “Stepping into the Shadows”, and two books by an American lady ‘Cassandra’ who found out the hard way what happens when you marry a Muslim – “Escape! from an Arab [ie Muslim] Marriage” and “33 Secrets Arab [that is, Muslim] Men Don’t Tell American [or any other non-Muslim] Women”. Warn your girls that if they are studying in or visiting a country where there are Muslims – e.g. Australia – they *will* be targeted by Muslim males who are after one thing and one thing only: an entry ticket to Japan, by means of a gullible female. It’s called “marriage jihad”. Don’t be fooled!).
If there is anything you are buying from Muslim lands…reconsider whether you might not be able to buy it from somebody else not-Muslim. Oil can be got from Canada. If you are currently giving ‘aid’ to any Muslim entity: cease from doing so.
Do all these things, and five or ten years down the track even those many western nations that may vociferously criticise you as you do it, will envy you.
