Labor Councillor Shakil Ahmed And His Son

  1. I read the article. I am now working my way down through the 1000+ comments, and I think about 80-90 percent of those comments are variations on a theme – the theme being “Good riddance to bad rubbish. Let them go; *don’t* let them come back”. And every such comment has votes, votes and more votes – I think one commenter recommending that jihad-minded Muslim families like this one should a/ not be prevented from leaving but b/ vigorously prevented from returning, once they had gone – had been upvoted by something like *seven thousand* people.

One hopes that, more and more, those thousands of people who have Seen the Obvious – and can see what needs to be done – will be saying the same thing in ever-more-insistent and not-to-be-fobbed-off letters – not emails, easily deleted, but letters on paper, with stamps, – pouring into the in-trays of politicians. Followed up by deputations of citizens on the doorsteps of said politicians, and crowds of thousands, with placards, outside Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament.

And the same is going to have to happen in all the other non-Muslim lands from which Muslims are currently galloping off in ever-increasing numbers to jump into the jihadi bloodbath in Syria and Iraq.

  2. Here’s an utterly typical comment, from someone who identifies as a resident of “Poole” in Dorset: “Dammit! So close! Nearly got rid of them for good.”

Someone else “Let them go for our sakes, just don’t let them back”.

Howard, in London – “Let them go. Good riddance to bad rubbish”.

someone from Yorkshire – “What the hell are you [UK govt] bringing them back for, they’re not one of us, we don’t want them.” (the comment received 332 agreement votes).

Another commenter- “Don’t let these people back in, we don’t want them walking our streets. Make them stay there”. (“there” being Syria/ Iraq/ dar al Islam – CM).

And so far I’ve just read two pages of comments, with many more to go, and comment after comment after comment is saying the same thing. All from different monikers, different parts of the UK.

One commenter advised others that during the election campaign, if their local MP knocks at the door campaigning, all who want jihadis to be let go (and then stripped of citizenship and prevented from returning) *must* ask the MP – what does *he* propose to do about departing jihadis – and then, once the answer is received, vote accordingly.

All very, very interesting, the level of clarity – and sheer eye-crossing fury – that is being displayed via the vox populi.
