London: 16th Anniversary of the London transport jihad murders. 7th July 2005

To Tavistock Square in London, in company with friends from March for England and others.

I couldn’t go last year or the year before. Since my last visit the memorial fixed to the railings of the British Medical Association building has been removed and a larger stone memorial placed the other side of the road in Tavistock Square Gardens. It is more impressive, but hard to photograph well without clambering into shrubbery.

Pompey Dave made a short but pertinent speech and we held a minutes silence. The poppy wreath was already in place; the other posies were laid today. The white crysanthmums are on behalf of the new English Review.

It was good to meet old friends again, now that we are able to travel into London and elsewhere.
