Minneapolis to Nashville: Is Transgenderism Deadly?
And can we face the truth if it is?

By Roger L Simon
According to the Daily Mail, Jacob Frey, the mayor of Minneapolis, whom some of us remember not-so-fondly from the George Floyd riots, has warned us after the dreadful shootings at the Annunciation Church with two children, 8 and 10, murdered in their pews, that we should not fall prey to transphobia.
Sorry, Mr. Mayor. What you are doing, or attempting to do, is hide the truth, both from the public and, quite likely, from yourself. You fail to acknowledge that the transgender movement might well be, to adapt a phrase from the anti-war movement of the sixties that you no doubt admired, “not heathy for children and other living things.” Indeed, there may be something very wrong.
That includes, most of all, those who are swept into it. We have a trans epidemic still going on in our country that is destroying lives on multiple levels. It’s time to end it, full stop.
I don’t mean to pick on Mr. Frey who is just one of many who think of themselves as liberal or progressive and have been blinded by what one might call “ideology think.”
Adrift in moral narcissism and virtue signaling they fail to face the simple fact that transphobia as a concept does not actually exist any more than Islamophobia does. These are made-up terms of political manipulation that are not true phobias defined as irrational fears (i. e. agoraphobia).
Tell those who died on 9/11 and 10/7 that their fears are irrational. You can’t, obviously. The same goes for the two children at the South Minneapolis church and the six killed in a similar attack by a transgender person here in Nashville TN, March 27, 2023 at the Covenant School.
Those Nashville murders, three children and three teachers, were perpetrated by a transgendered person (female to male) and took place minutes from my house .
I have followed it closely and can say that on virtually every level from the governor to the mayor on down through the local police, the FBI, the leaders at the school where the crime occurred, Vanderbilt Psychiatric where the perpetrator was being treated for years, most local journalists and a host of others, all failed to deal with it in an honest, even faintly transparent, manner .
It has been, to date, one massive coverup motivated for the most part by fear of embarrassment from various parties and fear of really examining what may be the truth about the results of selecting ones “gender” whether via drug/hormone treatments, sexual reassignment surgery or both.
Yes, the so-called manifesto of the perpetrator was revealed thanks to the hard work of journalist Michael Patrick Leahy and others, but ultimately these documents tell us little more than that rage killers rage indiscriminately. Similar documents (and actual weapons) from the Minneapolis killer show he hated Catholics, Jews, Donald Trump and virtually anyone he could think of on whom he could project his own obviously uncontrollable misery. (Excuse my using “his.” The Daily Mail is of course more “modern” and uses “her” to refer to the self-declared Robin Westman, formerly Robert.)
What is far more important is exactly what treatments these people were receiving, who encouraged them and what transpired from those treatments.
In one flagrant example we still don’t know how much, if any, of the most important male hormone testosterone Nashville shooter Audrey Hale was taking and/or being prescribed in order to become a man.
It should be obvious why this is important. The male human body contains roughly 30 trillion (with a “t”) cells, the female 28 trillion. All of those cells, with the most minute exception for individuals termed intersex, denote female from XX chromosomes and male from XY.
Whether this is decreed by God, evolution or both is beyond most people’s job description (certainly mine) but, to put it bluntly, that’s a whole lot of cells to “truck with”. It represents incalculable eons of development over myriad species. It happened for a reason.
Without the most diligent, transparent research, intervening in human sexuality, pouring unknown amounts of hormones into the opposite sex over years being one example, giving children puberty blockers another, fooling with our plumbing yet another, could well put the human body, again to put it bluntly, on “tilt,” much like a pinball machine.
But in this case “game over” has a lot more ramifications than putting more money in a machine. It could very well yield violence, possibly of even of epidemic proportions. (Norwegian-American writer Bruce Bawer bravely wrote about this years ago for FrontPage magazine but was essentially ignored.)
The above-mentioned transparent research is to date virtually non-existent. Part of the reason is too much money has been made in sexual reassignment and related matters. The Vanderbilt Medical Center, among others, got caught on this not so minor greed.
On the larger issue of the results of so-called gender reassignment, we just don’t know—and that’s the point. Caveat emptor and caveat society at large.
What we do know is that human sexuality has been on a sliding scale from time immemorial. There have been males who sometimes act more female and vice versa. Most of us accommodate that. It’s part of life. Some are gay and some are straight. Live and let live and all that. For the most part, everyone is happier that way. We don’t intervene. We just, hopefully, live decently with our neighbor.
But now many are intervening—in the most bizarre way.
The results in the case of Minneapolis and Nashville can be bleak indeed.
What’s interesting in light of the horrible event at the Annunciation Church is to see how the public reacts as this filter down. It’s obvious how Mayor Frey and his ilk are responding—panic that people might want to examine the truth.
Regarding the public, however, I hope I’m not projecting in getting the sense rejection of transgenderism is growing. More pushback is coming from parents against teachers, administrators, medical and other personnel who blindly encourage these interventions without realizing the obvious: They do not bring forth human happiness. Much more likely, they encourage the reverse.
