An Afghan migrant who allegedly raped two 14-year-old girls was allowed to stay in the UK with his family, a court has heard.

The 28-year-old appeared at Manchester magistrates’ court on Tuesday, listening to the brief hearing via an interpreter using the Dari language spoken in Afghanistan.
The court heard that Mr Bakatash had been in Britain for two years and had been granted indefinite leave to remain along with his mother, two brothers and two sisters.
Mr Bakatash was arrested in the early hours of Sunday after police received a report of rape in the Middle Hulton area of Bolton.
The defendant is also accused of one count of sexual assault and one count of assault by penetration, with all the alleged offences committed on Dec 6.
He had allegedly been in contact with the victims online before meeting them, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. Both the girls are being supported by specialist teams while detectives investigate, the force added.

Hotel migrant abducted and raped 15-year-old girl, court told To be fair, this may not be a jihad crime as the name doesn’t sound obviously islamic, but it is certainly an example of the unsavoury nature of the young men entering illegally via small boats.
A migrant living in a taxpayer-funded asylum hotel has denied abducting and raping a teenage girl. Yashin Himasara, a 20-year-old Sri Lankan, is also accused of beating and strangling the 15-year-old after he “carried her away against her will” in Feltham, west London, on Nov 1.
He had been living in the three-star St Giles Hotel in Feltham, being used by the Government to house asylum seekers.
Mr Himasara denied one count of kidnapping, one count of rape, one count of assault by penetration, and one count of assault by beating. He also denied one count of sexual activity with a child and two counts of intentional strangulation.
And that is just England. I spotted cases from Rome Italy, and Minneapolis.
