Mr. President, Keep the Oil!

By Roger L Simon

In a Newsmax article today, their Michael Katz wrote:

“President Donald Trump said Monday that Iran’s oil ‘is there for the taking,’ but doing so could extend the conflict with Tehran, adding that Americans want to ‘see us come home.’

“‘If I had my choice, what would I like to do? Take the oil because it is there for the taking,’ Trump told reporters at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. ‘There is not a thing they could do about it. Unfortunately, the American people would like to see us come home.’

“‘If it were up to me, I’d take the oil, I’d keep the oil, and we’d make plenty of money. And I’d also take care of the people of Iran much better than they’ve been taking care of. It’s been horrible. They killed 45,000 people as of a month and a half ago, 45,000 protesters. We don’t do that. So, if I had my choice, I would keep the oil, but I also want to make the people of our country happy. I think most people wouldn’t understand that.’”

No, Mr. President, I think we would understand… especially, as you said yourself, we would do more for the Iranian people than their previous rulers, vastly more, I would imagine.

Americans are good people. We took care of the Europeans after World War II (not that they are very grateful these days; no good deed goes unpunished, as they say). We would feel good about helping the Iranian people who have suffered under one of the most satanically sadistic regimes in history.

Satanically sadistic, you ask? How’s having prison guards deliberately rape female prisoners the night before they are killed to assure, according to Shiite tradition, that they would not go to heaven? The parents were duly notified.

Or how about using children as mine sweepers during the Iran-Iraq War? They were handed plastic (yes, plastic) Keys to Paradise to reassure them about their future, so they wouldn’t be too scared about what awaited them when they walked under fire through the mine fields.

And this isn’t just old news. The desire of the regime to exploit children has resurfaced, according to LTC Nadav Soshani of the IDF:

“In recent weeks, as Israeli and American operations expanded inside Iran, a clearer picture began to emerge of how the regime is operating under this sustained pressure.

“One of the most alarming findings is the recruitment of minors into the Basij, a paramilitary force under the Iranian regime.

“This is not speculation. It is an openly declared policy.

“On March 26, 2026, Rahim Nadali, a deputy in the IRGC Mohammad Rasoul Allah Corps of Greater Tehran, announced a recruitment campaign titled ‘Homeland-Defending Combatants for Iran.’ The campaign explicitly invited volunteers aged 12 and above, with registration taking place through Basij bases operating out of mosques across Tehran.”

In addition, Throwback Iran writes on X:

“HOLY SH*T
Iran’s state TV is encouraging Iranian youth and students to form human shield circles around power plants and other infrastructures ahead of tomorrow’s deadline day. Where is UN? UNICEF?”

You’ll have to ask Throwback Iran why they even bothered to ask the last questions.

The mullahs’ rule, much like communism, was always only about the oppression of the masses for the benefit of the overclass. The mullahs and the Revolutionary Guard Corps own most of the industry, from energy to the lucrative pistachio plantations. Just as communist leaders used tired Marxist rhetoric to distract as they enriched themselves (cf. Fidel Castro), the mullahs used the nostrums of Khomeinist Shiism as a cover.

So, Mr. President, take the oil. Most of us will be with you in the end. Just explain the process. Give as much as possible, in an organized and fair manner, back to the Iranian people, but keep a little off the top for the USA “for service rendered.” You’ve already done it in Venezuela.

In fact, taking control of the oil is finally the only way to make sure the horrible Islamofascist regime will never come back. And that, we absolutely have to do.
