Oxford woman to appear at Old Bailey over terrorism charges

From the Oxford Mail

A Blackbird Leys (VERY tough housing estate – it isn’t just the industrial cities with areas to be wary of) woman has appeared before a court accused of disseminating ‘terrorist publications’ online.

Roma Iqbal, 22, of Kestrel Crescent, Oxford, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (March 6) charged with three offences under the Terrorism Act.

Prosecutors claim that in October and December 2021 she ‘transmitted the contents of a terrorist publication electronically’ or enabled others to ‘obtain, read, listen or look at a terrorist publication’.

Counter Terrorism Policing South East said last month that the charges related to ‘Islamist terrorism offences’.

She was bailed to appear at the Central Criminal Court Old Bailey on the 17th March for a preparation hearing.
