Oakley believes strong, immediate action should have been taken against Carl Benjamin who blogs as ‘Sargon of Akkad’ after he made incredibly stupid remarks that caused the party to plunge in the polls. And that the National Election Commission should not have disallowed Gerard Batton to run for UKIP leadership once more – that the membership should elect their own leadership without interference.
We wish Mr. Oakley well and hope he will re-emerge as a national leader again soon. Britain needs leaders such as he.

Many of my circle of friends are saddened at what has happened to UKIP lately.
Gerard Batten is a good man and he won’t stop being a good man just because UKIP have machinated against him.
