Police notified as ‘Convoy for Palestine’ plans return to London on Saturday

From the Jewish Chronicle and the Daily Mail

Another “Convoy for Palestine” is set to return to London on Saturday, less than a month after activists drove down Finchley Road shouting “F*** the Jews, rape their daughters.”

The convoy is due to depart from Bradford and make stops in Sheffield, Leicester and London before ending outside Downing Street for a rally at 1pm. In a post on Instagram, organisers of the demonstration said: “This is an invite to all of you, come in your numbers and let’s keep the momentum going!”

In a poster, the group told fellow activists they would be providing separate male and female coaches at £20 per person for the journey this Saturday.

Conservative MP for Finchley and Golders Green Mike Freer said the issue has been raised with the area’s Borough Commander, who will take ‘appropriate action’. The Metropolitan Police told MailOnline they were ‘aware of the planned convoy’ and added that they were currently ‘gathering intelligence’.

There has not been a thing in the news that I could find (and I look regularly) about arrests of others of the men in the cars driving menacingly through Golders Green, or the progress to court of the men arrested for their role in that abuse and the criminal damage in Salford Manchester hours earlier.

A spokesperson for the Community Security Trust said: “We are aware of this proposed convoy and we will be discussing it urgently with police, with a particular focus on the routes they may be planning to take into central London. It appears to be by the same organisers as the notorious convoy from last month and we cannot have a repeat of the appalling intimidation and abuse of the Jewish community that we saw on that occasion.”
